Loading a upright water tank on the north slope of Alaska. Check out this video of pulling a fuel truck out of a snowbank using my pick-up truck! • Ford pickup pulls out ...
For a minute there, I thought the tank was going to fall over onto the bed of the truck and wreck it. Then the tail of the bed hit the tank and the truck stopped. The driver then applied enough tension to the cable to slowly bring the tank onto the bed of the truck, using the tail of the truck as a pivot point. Pretty slick maneuver, if you ask me. The driver really knows his stuff.
I thought that the tank might hit the winch and the top of cab for just a second. But he pulled up at just the right moment. Nice job. Just gotta love Big Boy Tonka Truck toys.
There's one way: put some slack on the wire rope, drive backwards and sudden stop. The wire rope will allow to move the tank until it reaches the slack. Repeat the process until the tank is over the ground.
Worked the "oil patch" for 22 years, this is a simple job when you do it all the time....Looks like a good hand to have around.....Thumbs up......
