I think a lot of why 2 remains my favorite is because the villains are the best of the series, and the ending(s) were perfect. I don’t think I’d change anything about them, they were just so very satisfying.
Xenoblade 3 has my favorite ending, with the characters saying goodbye, the Gigachad Rex and I can watch every time the moment of the kiss between Noah and Mio. Future Redeemed ending it feels emotional and epic with Shulk, Rex and A walking forward and it makes you the same question that Rex made to A: What is waiting for us in the future?
Joanne Hogg actualy sang the vocal themes for both Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode !. She did not sing the vocal songs for the other Xenosaga games. I absolutely love all the Xenoblade endings, but I think my favorite is Xenoblade 2's ending. I love the whole final sequence, Malos's speech, Pneuma's speech, The Tomorrow With You, One Last You, and I think everything just ties up perfectly. I think I just can't decide which is my favorite between the other endings, they're all just so perfect. I cried at the end of the video
1) XC2 - ties up everything and makes me a sobbing mess thanks to the most beautiful ending song in the series 2) Torna - enhances everything about 2 while making me a sobbing mess 3) Future Redeemed - gives me the closure I wish I got from base 3, and has a lot of cool character moments. Future Awaits is incredibly emotional and perfectly encapsulates Xenoblade 4) XC1 - a simple happy ending that also gives us a glimpse of the big lore to come in later games and with lots of iconic scenes 5) XC3 - it has one really powerful scene when the party is separating, but everything else is unfortunately a bit of a wet fart with no weight or meaningful explanations 6) XCX - it’s fun and the twists are interesting but yeah 7) Future Connected - it sure is an ending
@@Sutchii_ Xenoblade 3 was a serious letdown for me. I enjoyed it a lot and think it has the best combat in the franchise, but there are too many little weird things such as X and Y not getting a cutscene when you beat them despite being the right and left hand man of Z, while K got more screen time than both of them and a cutscene. The timing for the tutorial for Burst was super late and weird and already figured out well before that point, and the wording for a couple of the tutorials were confusing and unclear, which I have never had a problem with for a Xenoblade game in the past. A few of the hero quests for the party really should have been part of the story, especially Sena's. And Z is the most forgettable main villain in the franchise. N, D, and J were far more memorable.
I havent played xenoblade x But 6) FC 5) 1 4) 2 3) FR 2) Torna 1) 3 I think in all honesty the reason I put 3 all the way up here, is that I cried so extremely hard and it was heart wrenching in couldn’t stop thinking about it for months. No media has made me cry that hard and it’s the reason i chase after depressing media. I love crying at media
Sorry I know I'm supposed to hate cliffhangers but I constantly think about XC X's world and lore where for xenoblade 1 and 2 I have to check a wiki to remember details. X's mysteries keeps it rent free in an inoperable tumor in my head
I agree that I wished FR had a end credits picture of all the characters from all 3 games. If it happened I would’ve been emotionally destroyed for a month. Also I love him pointing out at the end of One Last You it plays a piano version of the title screen theme.
My Xenoblade Endings ranking: 1: Xenoblade 2 (emotional rollercoaster, beautiful and heartbreaking, moved me to tears, and I was all in favor of the the final twist) 2: Torna (powerful, tragic and poignant, with perhaps my favorite end credits song, and a stinger that brings everything full circle) 3: Xenoblade 1 (a worthy and satisfying ending, nothing that truly blows me away or shakes me to my core, but an excellent way to wrap up the story nonetheless) 4: Future Redeemed (a true fan-pleaser that still leaves a lot of questions from Xenoblade 3 unanswered, but nevertheless feel like a satisfying conclusion on an emotional and thematic level) 5: Xenoblade 3 (lots of individual scenes that are really great and work beautifully, but it just leaves so many questions unanswered, with some disturbing implications about what happens to especially the people in the City) 6: Xenoblade X (the unresolved cliffhanger and X's overall weaker story holds it back, but I still enjoyed it at the time.) 7: Future Connected (this epilogue was extremely Meh for me overall, and the ending itself was also forgettable for me - ultimately this didn't truly feel like a story that needed to be told, but a tacked-on "happy ending" for Melia)
I'd imagine the people in the city are divided into their original worlds, like ghondor and monica going to Alrest and Grey and Shania's families moving back to Bionis. That does leave a question about those who were children of people who were from bionis and alrest though, maybe they're divided based on their dna attachment to either bionis or alrest.
God, remember when Xenoblade 1 used to be on the "worst ending" lists because of the plot twist that Alvis is a computer? How times have changed - Everyone accepts Alvis as the GOAT now. We've seen his brother and sisters after all, and they're all fleshed out people.
My ranking: 7:XC X Like you I don't like the stupid number of new mysteries that will never be solved but I like the fact that we show the 19 playable characters after the events of the game. Also cliffangers that lead to nothing are my worst nightmare 6: Torna OK this is going to sound very dumb but I don't like endings that make me want to die. I knew as soon as I started the DLC that nothing was going to end well but it was even worse than I thought then! Really Milton and Hugo deserved better and above all I personally felt their death, especially that of Hugo were like forced and the fact that we almost never talk about them in the main story of XC 2 conformed me there. But Torna made me love Jin and Mythra and allowed me to kill Gort so I still love the ending despite everything 5: FC A good conclusion to the Melia arc and I'm glad to see the High Entia at peace with their queen 4:XC This and so beautiful in my eyes! I love it ! I was so happy to see everyone so happy after all that they went through too Also Shulk and Fiora are a cute couple 3:XC 3 FR I'm in truth quite mixed and I might reverse it with the end of XC the main reason being the treatment of Shulk and Rex at the end. From the start I expected A to end up to sacrifice themself or something like that but for the 2 MCs from previous games to leave as well. It left me with a weird taste in my mouth, especially since Shit! They had just seen their child again! And then seeing that we know what happens to the origine in XC 3 the sacrifice of Shulk and Rex has me even more mixed 2:XC3 Everything is so beautiful and sad in this end. The fact that Agnus and Keves have finally finished waging war. That the characters can finally live more than 10 years ! And that they really ended up liking each other despite all their arguments But also very sad. When I think back to their run to try to reach each other with the music I really had tears in my eyes...And especially Taion who not only checks during their run that nothing will disturb them and he ends up literally falling on his legs at the end it was way too touching 1:XC2 My favorite XC I love this game I love it a lot and it really made me cry with joy seeing Pyra and Mythra again when we thought they were lost was so satisfying. And the fact that the titans merged to form a new Alrest was perfect. I'm so happy that this ending was chosen over the original ending because thanks to this change XC 2 remains one of my favorite games of all time Sorry for the bad English I used Google traduction
I think it's so funny that killing Gort is one of the things you liked the most about Torna's ending. Thank you for the comment! Your English was not bad at all :)
@@MaxMonadoGort is one of the character I hate the most in video game so of course his death was awsome :D Also I loved how this is impossible to lose. I've actually never thought of an order for my favorite Xenoblade endings despite being a fan since mid 2013. I'd have to give it more thought, but I think my order wouldn't be much different from yours since I feel the same about a lot of the things you mentioned. Just X and Future Connected swapped. I also noticed and love how the ending songs have such deep meaning tied to characters and events in the stories, and how many of them are sung from the perspective of one of the characters! Xenoblade Chronicles credit songs are always a treat and often make me tear up. I don't think there's been another series that has affected me on an emotional level like Xenoblade Chronicles has. I never would have imagined all of this to come from this when I discovered this game before the original on the Wii released outside of Japan through a Reddit thread on a simple search for must have Wii games years ago! And that fans had to beg Nintendo to bring the series over and finally Nintendo brought it to America as a Gamestop exclusive, and now look at where the series is. 7: Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected 6: Xenoblade Chronicles X 5: Xenoblade Chronicles: 1 4: Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Redeemed 3: Xenoblade Chronicles: 2 2: Xenoblade Chronicles: 3 1: Xenoblade Chronicles: Torna the Golden Country
the future redeemed ending made me want to replay the xenoblade series again lmao, (haven't done it yet) but now I'm also wanting to do xenosaga before doing xenoblade again because of the connections now and I want to be ready for whatever comes next. but before xenosaga i gotta do xenogears because yes
I’m serious on this theory btw. Vangarre’s Japanese name is Vandham, Noah’s descendants through N’s preceding incarnation were called Vandham. It’s also a bit strange how Xenoblade 3 base’s Agnian party members have more likely hinted parents of main group in 2, Mio of Rex and Nia, Sena of Brighid and unknown parent. Only explanation I could see is Mòrag is actually a trans woman (which y’know, can make her bear a child with Brighid) or that NSFW anime trope that technically qualifies as intersex. And the thing is it shouldn’t be out of the question in the series has good gender identity inclusion, and has an actually positive and healthy portrayal of a polyamorous relationship, meaning it can handle those potentially cringe tropes tastefully. As for 1, I don’t quite see Eunie as descendant of Melia, there would’ve been a bit more interaction between the two for what they could’ve had like Nia and Mio (even if Mio has deuteragonist privilege). But if one wants to link to a major character of 1, maybe Tyrea, maybe how Eunie developed the sass and maybe some spite. With Lanz, I guess Vanea? I don’t have much other suggestions. No concrete idea for Taion tbh with 2, maybe the best himbo Zeke and Pandoria had two kids and Taion as their son is what happens when the nerd crosses the himbo, and likely cringes at his parents’ antics.
My issue with XC2s ending isn’t that Pneuma died and came back instantly, it makes sense in canon because that’s just how blades work and it was obvious that this would happen as soon as Pneuma gave Rex the rest of the core crystal. What annoys me is that the ending wants to have it’s cake and eat it too, it wants to create a sad scene where Pneuma sacrifices herself but not have any of the pre-established consequences of this, because as soon as you realise that both Pyra and Mythra retain their memories even after being re-awakened the moment loses all of its emotion and becomes completely inconsequential, and it’s at that point that the ending just starts to annoy me, imagine how much more powerful and even foreshadowed it would be if only the form you choose in Morytha returns and without her memory, it would mean the sacrifice was actually, well, a sacrifice and have the ending br so much more melancholic, rather than pretending to be, having the tear-jerker credits then saying ‘sike everyone is okay, happily ever after!’
You can't really blame X1 for the non-existence of X2, I think. I'd put it above FC because it's still the end of a great adventure and in my opinion it retains a unique feeling which, even if it doesn't equal the other games, is still above FC, which I also liked but nothing more. As for the rest, I agree overall, even if some of the endings could change places depending on my mood. For example xc3 probably has the scene that had the most impact on me but I like the ending especially for that scene alone whereas in xc1 and xc2 it's a bit more of a whole. Not to mention FR, which is the only ending I judge taking the previous games into account and which gave me exactly what I wanted as a conclusion. Good video, you were able to decide, unlike me xD
I personally love xc3 base game's ending more because of how attached I got to the characters compared to torna, but that's because of the way i experienced the game i guess. honestly i think i would enjoy torna's ending even more if i had seen torna before the base game of xc2 cause i feel like the base game spoils the emotional impact im supposed to feel at torna(not saying it removed it completely but still would have been even more phenomenal)
One of my problems with X is that our custom character isn't even shown or mentioned in the ending like what where is he/she there our main character like where are they?
With regards to Xeno 2, I agree that Pneuma dying would be forced..... but also I think that *entire scene* is forced. The whole fakeout death shouldn't have happened imo. Maybe they can keep the part where they split in two but I don't think that it should've been part of a fakeout death.
If you have L in your party at the final boss he shows up twice in the cutscene, he's supposed to appear with the other story relevant allies and they just forgot to make his 2nd character model dissapear if he's in your party.
I love how people on the internet today think every story is about characters only and their individual "stakes." No. Writing is supposed to be a main idea with characters that represent elements of that main idea. "Stakes" or "risks" are not mandatory in telling a good story.
I would 100% put xc1 over xc2 but, it is mainly because I prefer the cast over xc2. Future redeemed got me emotional the moment I saw Shulk and Rex glowing. Torna is the best no doubt , they just made me put mythra as my favorite character in the whole series
Personally, when I first saw the ending to Xenoblade 2 I was one of those people who complained (Rex needed to let go quicker, Pyra and Mythra shouldn't have come back, it doesn't make sense, etc etc). After I got everything explained to me I have grown to like it more but I still am not a fan of the ending song. I just can't take it seriously when the lyrics are basically saying "hey God, mind bringing us back real quick so we can f**k that minor?"
Well in my case i have different things 1)Torna ending. (Everything you already said. And also with the fax that Jin walking away from Grams when we know that jin will become 500 years later the best Antagonist of the xeno games(you should make a ranking of that btw)) 2)Future Redemmd (everything was great. The final boss. Rex and shulk saying good bye to their Kids. Matthew who predicted Noah vs N fight lol. And Glimmer + Nikol saying good bye to Matthew (and if we know xeno 3 about the Vandham familiy might had been their last interaction with Matthew) And again THE MUSIC) 3)Xenoblade 3 ending. (What can i say execpt "WHHHYY you have to do this to us game". I mean seriously. The goodbye between Mio team and Noah Team seriously? I almost cried to this. But then i saw giga chad Rex with his wives lol. I mean all was great but it left us with question not aswered. When they will meet again? What happens to people of the city who don't live in Both Agnus and Keves) 4)Xenoblade 2(What you said in the video) 5)Xenoblade 1 6)Xenoblade X(it was a better ending that the last one for me. And i prefer having a cliffanger ending that a ending that just sucks) 7)Future connected (the ending just SUCKS AS HELL. I mean yes it's a happy ending. But this just shows a happy day for Melia. And i don't see anything that is likeble in this ending)
Here is my take 1. Good ending the live happy dont need no secuel 2. Good ending they live happy dont need no securl 3. Ruin the endings of the other 2, has a bitter ending 3.FR: even more bitter en at least is done unless they decide to make 4 X. What the hell is going, what just happened, they need to continue these story these is a masive cliffhanger the hell is mira........ O no secuel.for these 😐😐😐
I dont understand why torna is so emotional for many people. You do you but we can except the ending of torna based on the main game. Im quite emotional too and i cry everytime at the ending of chapter 7 but i didnt have any big emotions for torna
There's 4 guarantees in life:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. XC Torna's ending will always gets me emotional
4. XC X ending will never been answered
Too true bestie
Well.. 3 Guarantees now
Bro Torna's ending literally destroyed me lol, and I don't cry easy
Same here! I don't cry easy, and two of the Xenoblade Chronicles games made me cry. I'm sure you can guess which two.
I think a lot of why 2 remains my favorite is because the villains are the best of the series, and the ending(s) were perfect. I don’t think I’d change anything about them, they were just so very satisfying.
2 Hit it out of the park with Jin and Malos and true, both endings are great
I agree on 2 having the best villains. Malos is hands down the best villain in the franchise in my opinion.
I'm torn, I believe Z is the best written villain overall but I like that Malos is constantly facing the main character.

I cried at the end of the video
1) XC2 - ties up everything and makes me a sobbing mess thanks to the most beautiful ending song in the series
2) Torna - enhances everything about 2 while making me a sobbing mess
3) Future Redeemed - gives me the closure I wish I got from base 3, and has a lot of cool character moments. Future Awaits is incredibly emotional and perfectly encapsulates Xenoblade
4) XC1 - a simple happy ending that also gives us a glimpse of the big lore to come in later games and with lots of iconic scenes
5) XC3 - it has one really powerful scene when the party is separating, but everything else is unfortunately a bit of a wet fart with no weight or meaningful explanations
6) XCX - it’s fun and the twists are interesting but yeah
7) Future Connected - it sure is an ending
Can see where you're coming from with everything, and great to see One Last You get some recognition!
xc3 has the biggest down in quality for it’s final act. Seriously not even a short cutscene for X and Y death?

For example xc3 probably has the scene that had the most impact on me but I like the ending especially for that scene alone whereas in xc1 and xc2 it's a bit more of a whole. Not to mention FR, which is the only ending I judge taking the previous games into account and which gave me exactly what I wanted as a conclusion.
Good video, you were able to decide, unlike me xD
Xenoblade 1s ending isnt just the best Xeno ending....its the best JRPG ending of all time
I personally love xc3 base game's ending more because of how attached I got to the characters compared to torna, but that's because of the way i experienced the game i guess. honestly i think i would enjoy torna's ending even more if i had seen torna before the base game of xc2 cause i feel like the base game spoils the emotional impact im supposed to feel at torna(not saying it removed it completely but still would have been even more phenomenal)
One of my problems with X is that our custom character isn't even shown or mentioned in the ending like what where is he/she there our main character like where are they?
XC1 at number 5 is CRAZY
Would you believe me if I said Xenoblade 1 is my favourite game overall lol
With regards to Xeno 2, I agree that Pneuma dying would be forced..... but also I think that *entire scene* is forced. The whole fakeout death shouldn't have happened imo. Maybe they can keep the part where they split in two but I don't think that it should've been part of a fakeout death.
I always thought Fiora got her body back when Shulk created a world with no gods. I just assumed he threw Fiora's new body in as a bonus.
3:09 why are there two L's?
If you have L in your party at the final boss he shows up twice in the cutscene, he's supposed to appear with the other story relevant allies and they just forgot to make his 2nd character model dissapear if he's in your party.
To be honest i don't even remember XC3 ending 😅😅
I love how people on the internet today think every story is about characters only and their individual "stakes." No. Writing is supposed to be a main idea with characters that represent elements of that main idea. "Stakes" or "risks" are not mandatory in telling a good story.
so, what you thiink about the port of X and that extended end scene?
1. Future Redeemed
2. Xenoblade 2
3. Torna
4. Xenoblade 1
5. Xenoblade 3
6. Future Connected
7. Xenoblade X
cool idea
Thank you!
2’s was by far my favorite, but I actually still kinda hated the revival at the end. But you kinda sold me on it. Still, why are they split in two?
XCX was my favourite ending
Xenoblade will always be the best for me period Alvis is the goat
Well in my case i have different things
1)Torna ending. (Everything you already said. And also with the fax that Jin walking away from Grams when we know that jin will become 500 years later the best Antagonist of the xeno games(you should make a ranking of that btw))
2)Future Redemmd (everything was great. The final boss. Rex and shulk saying good bye to their Kids. Matthew who predicted Noah vs N fight lol. And Glimmer + Nikol saying good bye to Matthew (and if we know xeno 3 about the Vandham familiy might had been their last interaction with Matthew) And again THE MUSIC)
3)Xenoblade 3 ending. What happens to people of the city who don't live in Both Agnus and Keves)
4)Xenoblade 2(What you said in the video)
5)Xenoblade 1
6)Xenoblade X(it was a better ending that the last one for me. And i prefer having a cliffanger ending that a ending that just sucks)
7)Future connected (the ending just SUCKS AS HELL. I mean yes it's a happy ending. But this just shows a happy day for Melia. And i don't see anything that is likeble in this ending)
21:00 except triton.
oh don't piss me awf
1. 2
2. 3
3. Torna
4. Future Redeemed
5. 1
6. Future Connected
Here is my take
1. Good ending the live happy dont need no secuel
2. Good ending they live happy dont need no securl
3. Ruin the endings of the other 2, has a bitter ending
3.FR: even more bitter en at least is done unless they decide to make 4
Another video, another chance for Max to prove my dumbass tunnel visioned Xenoblade 2 hate
Have I finally converted you from a 2 hater to a 2 appreciater?
