I really do like the arenas though they can be a fun place to fight with friend or other people or just chill. I wish they did change alot of these thing though.

Speaking purely in damage numbers, Melia is actually the strongest character in the base game of Xenoblade 1. There is a reason why she has the lowest health in the game. She easily outdamages Shulk and Reyn in fights that you can't 1 shot the enemy with Sword Drive.

though Sharla is the best healer and with her find it harder to take one enemies. I found melia least useful because it hard capitalize on her arts. electria not worst shield hammer because of her high block rate. with the Dilaton chip like 78 percent. the key know what element your emery is using and use the right reflect chip. with block up chip it can go has high as 93 percent. I tank hits that just delete mine driver with out her. she decent auto attack damage for shield hammer. she not attack blade but tank blade. Godfrey is the wrost.

i clicked off when you said you dont like ghondor. no seriously, this is quite a good list. most areas are just kinda bland in comparison to 1 and 2. not saying they are bad in any way. i guess xc3 is really more about it's themes than it's world, other than let's say xc2.

wait yall had trouble with power lines and disciple lorithia? i beat them both first try lmao riki is busted i killed all the novas in like 10 seconds with poison and blaze damage and i was like 3 levels below lmao for lorithia and for power lines i just got healed so much from nia that when i was under half hp at any point i just got healed to full lmao

Everyone talking about warriors but what about a souls like game? Obviously mowing through waves of enemies in seconds with lucky seven or pnuemas sword with Rex but I feel a true difficulty step up would be nice, will it sell as much? Probably not but I need that difficulty and rage with xeno characters

Agree with your first and second. I cheesed Morag by jumping over the barrier and shooting at her. The final boss in X is horribly designed.

it doesn't help that its a (literal) nightmare, and the track for the fight is just this eerie, discordant and slowly rising screech, and against one of your own party members. like idk I remember Mörag basically was like "Mor Ardain has been destroyed because I trusted you to find Elysium. We should've known better than to trust you..' and i just felt ;-;

If you say Sena is just "decent" on CA, you are doing something wrong

For the final one, you do get an avant garde medal from a chest pretty much right before this fight, which will heal you for every crit you get… soooo with that form of healing it’s easy to do by yourself long as you use a blade with decent crit rate

Tbh i felt the ouroboros mechanic so underwhelming, lucky seven on the other hand actually felt fun and engaging to use.

I was like, B b b but, MELIA. Until you mentioned her ini Future Connected lol. Melia is definitely my most favorite character in XC1 and as a strategist / healer type, I love playing her. For X, as I play as strategist / healer with shield arts, Nagi is GREAT. I put Elma below Nagi and then L or H.B followed. For XC2, nothing will top Tora + Poppi QT pi. I personally played as Zeke as Sniper / Healer with long ranged blades like Kos-Mos with H-effect R as side healer. Love him. For Torna, I agree with Addam. But my fave will always be Lora as she has Jin and Haze, my fave blade. For XC3, Noah is damn OP! Again, my playstyle made me personally play as healer and Fiona is my pick. I also used to be in Guard section of Drum Corps so Fiona felt very personal for me playing with flag. For FR, I prefer Matthew than Rex. All in all, I'm glad that your pick makes sense and nice of you to consider "other" playstyle aside of DPS-ing enemies to death.

I remember once while I was visiting my parents for a few days, I decided to connect my Switch to their big TV in the lounge and play some XB3. I didn't want to do any story missions so I was just exploring and doing side quests. But while I was playing, my mom decided to come sit on one of the other couches to read. I asked her if I should put the volume down so it wouldn't disturb her, and she said I could put it louder because she was enjoying the music so much. I was so dumbfounded that my mom really liked the BGM of XB3! She even said she was so impressed that a game could have such good music and even called it atmospheric XD

Your Godfrey is my Perun. For the longest time, I didn't know Perun wasn't that well regardless, but she worked out really well in my team. She pulled through in the toughest of situations in my first playthrough. Well, that, and booba. Honestly, if I had to guess, everyone got pretty attached to their very first Blade in the same manner.

Great guide, I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your vids. I'm playing Xenoblade 3 at the moment, so I'll have to see if my mind changes afterwards, but for now, after you really understand the combat of 2, it's my favourite by far. It's just so satisfying :)) And I think, even in general, 2 is gonna turn out to be my favourite out of the trilogy. I definitely have my complaints, but the good point about the game make up for it so easily, I just love it :D

Before getting into it im guessing: reyn/dunban for topple lock potential (maybe shulk cause monado arts go brrt) Havent played x 2 is QTpi this is objective fact Torna Id assume is Addam/Mythra Xenoblade DE dlc (cant rememver it) prob melia since shulk is stuck with monado rex, maybe rikis daughter (his son sucks cause hes just sharla) 3 has to be either signifer or soulhacker base game, if we're doing dlc I could see lapidarist though 3 dlc its rex and much like QTpi this isnt a debate Edit: ok so THAT'S how we're ranking xenoblade 3 characters nvm, yeah in that case its noah not even a debate lucky 7 go brrt.

Im actually surprised Patroka and Mikhail chapter 4 isnt on here at all, I consider it probably the hardest story boss in that entire game personally. Mikhail has a move that may as well be a one shot, and combined with the awful tutorials I had 0 knowledge that level 4 specials or chain attacks would ignore his arts. Up to this point you're usually encouraged to kill damage/healer enemies first and save tanks for last, but this fight flips it entirely cause you NEED to kill mikhail fast before he wipes you. Also, really annoying how they give you access to my favorite character in this fight, but its a trap cause she's so poorly equipped to fight that theres 0 point running her over tora. To this day its the main boss who gives me trouble (apart from lorithia who's just a bitch).

Sharla is good for early of the game but in late she is not that useful

Took me ages to figure out that the power lines dealt spike damage when i realise i would run away and get nia to heal then run back to hit the wires. It was a slog Also i agree with morags placement. I luckily had crit heal items which i used on roc but im very lucky for that

Final Boss of Torna made me cringe

Teach is an interesting character for me. His experiences defining his ability to judge people, his "burst" damage is actually pretty good, Divine Protection and Profound Strength(/Leaping Current) are actually useful, his subtle dynamic with Ashera of all people, and his chain order being called "Dragon Unbound" is awesome.
