It’s synonymous with seeing God. Jeff made everyone and everything better and that’s a testament to Joe and also to Jeff’s ability to pretend he’s not the greatest musician in what ever room he was in or what you called humility. My fave thing is that Joe Porcaro interview about Jeff starting out. My God. We are so torn over his passing that we can’t even entertain Jeff sightings in this world. Jeff is the GOAT of music in general and also the drums. Jeff Porcaro 1992. Jeff Buckley 1997. My two Jeffrey’s. Ugh . My two main dudes who would have made music amazing up til now are gone and I blame whoever came up w this Shit to begin with.
I wanted to do a tribute for Jeff as the Porcaro family and my family also have the Dad drummer and 3 musician sons, also Italian and also from the Northeast. Only way I could approach it while maintaining my integrity and also unique I think. Wow I typed a lot . Thanks

It shows the seventies as they really were, and there’s something magical about what those guys did that night.
Note how Boz looks to a 19 year old Steve P. right before Steve becomes one with his dual mini moogs.
Jeff definitely set the foundation at your time stamp.
(I thought the jacket was hiding Jeff’s hand in his pants. 😂 It could have been in the jacket pocket.)

I feel happy every time I turn this on, listen to the music, and watch Jeff Porcaro grooving on this one. Great!

Not that anybody would give a shit, but I grew up and still live on the island where the Silk Degrees album cover was photographed. In fact we still have that exact same green bench sitting in the same spot and I walk my dogs past it almost every day.

I give a $***. I love Catalina. The boats to get there make me seasick, though.
