      Hey Shawn glad it was helpful and thanks for tuning it out. Congrats on getting a family business going . I can definitely point you in the right direction. Are you going strictly janitorial or carpet cleaning as well .

    I needed to see this. Our floors are the same tile, but they're never waxed. What wax did you use and how long does it last when you have to mop with detergent every night?

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey infrared we used Zep high traffic floor polish on this floor . These floors aren’t meant to be waxed but they have been getting it waxed for the longest time so they prefer a shine . We do this every 3-4 months due to it being a restaurant with high traffic . I already advised them to use some degreaser in there water bucket when cleaning to help break down the grease and to change out the mop heads frequently to avoid spreading the grease around with an old mop.

    Man that looks great I've been cleaning a restaurant kitchen floor that as apoxy resin on with that machine work for that or do you have a recommendation to clean this floor it as been neglected or not cleaned properly I used zep citrus degreaser

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks . Oh man those floors are that bad huh . You could use the oreck but i would go with a bigger 175 17-20 inch it has weight to it and scrub with a red pad and vacuum up the slurry and keep chipping away at it until it’s clean . Those epoxy resin floors mostly should be cleaned with water and ammonia cause anything with citrus could dull the shine I would try that with ammonia first but if it ain’t budging than zep degreaser all day if those floors are neglected it would definitely be an improvement lol

      @junbug2616 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they had 2 cleaners in there before me and I don't know what was going on she fired both of them and then I inherited it lol the front of the house the floors clean up kwik but the kitchen takes the longest the woman was like yeah we use a mop and bucket I'm like so your just spreading the grease around no we dump it like 10 times I was like that's not doing anything you need to actually scrub the floors and shop vac it up. They told me the floor is improving lol I'm like Yea I spend two hours on it lol I really don't they care about the shine they just want it so they don't slip and in top of thatthe fryers leak lol I used zeps purple tonight what would you recommend with Ammonia in it any recommendations

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply yt like to show comments 20 hours after the fact lol . Oh that sounds like a headache I hate inheriting other peoples problems 😂. They probably weren’t cleaning if she cut them loose lol without a scrubber and wet vac it’s pointless . Some places hire regular cleaners thinking they know how to do floors in reality they don’t want to pay a professional company that actually knows how to clean 🤦🏻‍♂️. I give a lot of quotes for restaurants and they always say they mop it and I always look at the mop and it’s covered in grease just tell them you need to change out the mop heads 😂 periodically . Most of them don’t have a cleaning program set in place some are just so bad you need to scrape the grout just to get off the caked on grease it’s so bad so I hit them with a high price cause it turns into a project . Haha yeah the fry olater grease will definitely make it slippery . I’m sure those two hours feel like forever in that place haha . I would keep using the degreaser you are using also scrub it with just ammonia and hot water just let it sit and let the ammonia eat at the grease then scrub the heck out of it .

    • @junbug2616
      @junbug2616 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah we keep inheriting very neglected places and they expect us to come in overnight and turn it into a kingdom lol I'll definitely have to try something with ammonia in it do you recommend anything

    I question the amount of emulsifier used, but the overall job looks real nice! I think time and material could have been saved and profit goes up. My floor guy has it down to a science.

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Brian thanks for the feedback. I used a decent amount of degreaser but didn't go over board with it . Definitely can be done alot faster I agree. Looking to get a wet and dry vac with a front squeegee versus extracting the water with a squeegee wand to save time. As far as supply cost that was a 5 gallon jug of Zep Heavy duty degreaser that's lasted us a few jobs up until that video . I think it cost us $60 at home depot. What is your floor guy using for products if you know ? I'm definitely willing to try some other products in the future other than Zep.

      @@thesteammaster2737 I think that disinfection these days is as just as important as the "aesthetic clean". So we use EcoLab's peroxide cleaner and disinfectant. We dilute it at 3 oz. per gallon and it contains a degreaser to remove biofilm coupled with stabilized hydrogen peroxide which really helps brighten up the grout as well as kill a wide variety of pathogens which is a good thing in food prep areas or commercial kitchens. It comes in a 2.5 gallon jug and makes 106 gallons for under 60 bucks. Pushing infection control with your service has never been more well positioned. Go with the vac and follow up with a clear water mop after a 10 minute dwell time.

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely going to order some $60 and it makes 106 gallons is great .Thanks for the tips as well. That is definitely a great selling point especially now a days going to push that more when selling services and if I can get the grout nice and bright is a bonus .

      @@musicvideos1846 my pleasure 😃. If you do buy the orbiter and you use it on laminate I would recommend the white pad it’s less abrasive and you can just use a neutral floor cleaner .
      They also have laminator plus not sure if you have used or heard of it . They sell a kit for your own floors . You do not need a machine you can use the deep scrub and apply a protective coating and it’s a lot cheaper than buying the orbitor . Hope this helps please feel free to ask away
