The thing I like the most about this guy, is that he seems like genuinely honest and hardworking business man with a laid back personality.

I'm a professional carpet cleaner for over 30 years and it confuses me this channel I don't like the videos but they keep popping up. This is a regular carpet cleaner everybody does this get a job or used to. I could give him a couple pointers that would help him make happier customers that he has. Number one he needs to use a higher pH on the first carpet because it's old and is made to be cleaned with high pH cleaner which has more color brighteners in it and would leave it more as the natural color of when they laid it. Number to he needs to put on or by and put on a brush on that tile cleaner he's dragging that across the floor and scratching that dirty nasty tile floor because it supposed to have a brush around the edge yes I know it doesn't get it to dry that's why they make a removable you clean out first with the brush on and then if you want to dryer after the third is removed then you can take it off and dry the floor. Every other owner operator in the world is doing as good or better than job than this guy. If you don't believe me go to a carpet cleaner message board and talk to them. And number three in the first house he didn't wreck the carpet after he got done you think it's beautiful the way he likes to leave those streaks but the customer would like it 10 * more if he would rake it because number one it dries faster and number-two to it looks better.
@@CARPETMAN6666 I agree about the streaks-it's super unprofessional to leave a carpet in that condition-it doesn't even look good. To be honest this put me off hiring these guys.

Tracking in a bunch of grease from the kitchen most likely, which doesn't speak well of the kitchen sanitation. Probably a menu with a good chunk of deep fried items to boot.
Watch an episode of "My 600 lbs life" and you'll understand why carpet cleaning is a future trade. Deep fried bacon is great for carpet cleaners and bariatric surgeons.
There’s a lot that explains it. You’ve got customers walking through those areas and you have no clue where their shoes have been. Same goes for employees. And customers tend to be messy, especially kids. You think this is bad, you should see a coffee shop after 3 months.
@@mcrchickenluvr I worked at a family owned coffee shop and was a closer. We would spend an hour after closing cleaning everything, and then every other month we would do a deep cleaning of the entire shop. Definitely doesn't get that dirty if you keep up with cleaning it.

Gladly the restaurant hired these men during the pandemic to clean it! Makes me wonder just how busy business was for it to take a pandemic for them to get the carpets professionally cleaned.
Most restaurants have the lights dimmed which make it hard to see. But I totally agree I’d be walking out too!
This is why you don't have carpets where people walk around and you have grease around, if you don't clean it afterhours often.

@@ImDembe It was kind of a 70s and 80s thing, luckily we don't put carpet everywhere anymore lol. But there are still places left over from that time.
I wish I were local to their service area. The level of professionalism and dedication demonstrated by this group is woefully rare in today's world. These folks are a perfect model for a small business looking to become a dominating force in the local market.

I will never understand restaurants that want carpeting. Its seems like such basic sense to have anything BUT carpet!
You don't have to worry about your customers slipping and falling if you have carpet. Insurance can be really expensive.
I worked in a high end restaurant in college. They installed marble floors in the entry area and hallways and bathrooms. The first month or so after we opened, women in high heels were wiping out left and right. They finally hired someone to modify the floors to make them unsmooth.
Just recently they've started to build them with NO carpet because of this new floor tile they've come up with that's slick-free, so people won't be slipping and falling. 👍

Yeah, carpets get gross. But have you been in a restaurant last few years? They're so loud! All of the hard surfaces these days make it very noisy.

I hate when YT is hiding black channels even though we are doing much much better than anyone else. This is what is called systemic racism. Go on their page without signing in, and see their recommendation. You will never find black content creators. Maybe they'll throw will smith or keven hart here and there, like in between 200 vids of all white and some Asian TH-camrs.
No dark skin women, no black families, no young black men youtubers. non of it. It's sad. And they keep on pushing their mediocre WP vid that are not even interesting at all.

@@samlsd9711 I am signed in a guest when I use youtube on this iPad, and I have never a problem like that. Infact I can hardly look up hair styling videos without it being just black women styling their afro hair. I see lots of black content creators all the time. Yeah sure there are slightly less but that's probably not because of a racist problem, it's likely because more white people watch youtube and more white people create content that feeds the algorithm. Pretty sure there are more white people than black people in the world, especially in the parts that can actually all afford things like the internet and screens.
I like that you made a point of only filming the floor instead of panning down to it, so no one will be able to recognize people by their family photos that could be on the wall or furniture.
I lived next door to a man who owned a carpet cleaning company for years. Now I feel like a chump for never asking him for a ride-along to see crazy before-and-after stuff like this!

Just have to buy a strong broom not jut a soft sweeper and put undiluted cleaner in a small section of the floor, brush with the broom in the direction of the grout and then wipe. Do it in sections so that the soap or cleaner does not dry before you are able to wipe it or the dirt will go back to be stuck to the grout. I used to use a toothbrush too long long time ago until i found the hart brush for the broom solution. No more cleaning on my knees like Cinderella for me! Hope it helps!
This is the only acceptable form of asmr. A family working hard together helping others have a clean environment during this pandemic.
Just a thought but maybe put your company logo on the vacuum head so people know who you are? Not just the name of the vacuum cleaner. Free advertising while watching the video!

@@traktor7372 I think the goal with carpet is to add the effect of almost homeliness or something. The soft lighting and carpet don't feel as sterile or clinical. I know a lot of places around where I am have that. Even some warm-tomed wood flooring would be better though. I mean at least they have it so we can watch it get cleaned, right? Haha
@@ethanmichael17 Im european so we never have carpets in out house. We only have wood flooring basically. But especially in a public space and restaurants wood flooring is ALWAYS superior.

We had a Chinese restaurant in my home town of Estacada Oregon. We nicknamed it “sticky floors” because, well, the carpet was so sticky, when you walked on it, your shoes made a sticky sound when you walked. It had been there for YEARS and I don’t think they EVER cleaned it.

I'd imagine the TH-cam IS a great marketing tool for the business. You guys are professional, courteous, you take great care to not damage your residential customers' property, and look at the RESULTS you guys get! I LOVE how in the restaurant the most heavily trafficked areas went from the darkest to the lightest from being the dirtiest to the obviously most worn. You are flooring wizards.

If that is just three months of grease buildup, what do they do in that restaurant? Do they just shove the food along the floor to the tables? How do you get that much grease on the floor in three months?

I worked in a restaurant for a while. Basically, no matter how super clean the kitchen staff are, there is always some grease splatter getting on the floor. And that stuff STICKS to shoes and travels. So this restaurant very wisely has added regular carpet cleaning to their yearly budget. Makes a difference.
Bad worker habits, faulty equipment, messy guests, tons of stuff
I don't even want to imagine how that carpet smells before it's cleaned. Like a skunk on a crap wagon.

I love the agitator. I told the building manager at my school we should get one because our classrooms have carpet and that I would volunteer to help. He told me to stop watching cleaning videos. No thank you. These are great.
Lol. For the gas pump, my car did the same thing. You should notice that there are two notches that keep the handle compressed to allow gar to flow. When you squeeze it too much the release shuts the pump off like it was doing to you. Try only doing the 1st notch so the handle is not as compressed. It should take care of the problem for you. ;)
Every single restaurant, and any business that needed to close during COVID should have used the opportunity to deep clean like this. No disruption to sales (since they were closed anyways) and then makes cleaning that much easier after reopen.

I love that you guys are a family/multigenerational business.
Imagine how much money they could've saved if they simply got tiles in the restaurant.
You have to clean tile as well and if you have a hard surface it soil quicker and therefore become a hazard
Even with tiles you usually keep area rugs over it in order to protect against a slipping hazard, those area rugs are rubberized underneath. As for full rooms carpeted, even though it needs to be cleaned often, it provides good sound insulation, and customers seem to prefer those areas more. My 2 cents.
Slip hazard so perhaps carpet is better for health and safety
