    Thanks for the vid... I'm thinking about buying the Oreck 550 to scrub the floors at some Panera's that I clean. The smaller size of these machines are ideal for the tighter spaces where a 17 inch machine won't fit to well. So I appreciate your insights. 😎

    That Oreck seems to do a pretty good job on those floors. I have a Oreck as well but I never used it on concrete floors yet. I'll have to try it. I think it would probably work okay maybe just take a little longer.

      I was surprised myself. It's a pretty good machine. I use it mostly to agitate carpet but figured since I didn't have my rotary in my van I used that instead. It took a little longer but definitely got the job done. Yeah it would probably take a little longer to do concrete but worth a shot to try . Pretty good machine though.

    Quick question bro, what do you use to get all the dirty water up after scrubbing? I have a job coming up soon and the floors are concrete sealed floors so they kinda have shine to them but they have dark spots in higher traffic areas. Will this work? I have an oreck as well

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hey whats up man . I use a wet and dry vacuum with a squeeze wand. I would use a blue pad to scrub the floor and buff it with a red pad then alternate with the white pad that way it can bring out the shine . Would you happen to know what kind of sealer was used ? you can try it that way and see how it comes out. As far as dark spots I've seen allot of those on concrete depending on what it is sometimes they come out sometimes they don't concrete is porous so they may or may not budge especially if the floor was sealed over the dark spots. I'm putting down a link of what I used for the attachment to suck up all the
      dirty water with the dry vac and the product I use to clean tile and grout and concrete. I used this the last month when I scrubbed these floors again and it came out better than using the degreaser. I'm not affiliated with any of these companies by the way.

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whats up Travis, I just scrubbed it with zep degreaser . The first time I cleaned these floors I did use stripper though because the degreaser wasn't doing much but since cleaning it a few months ago I just used zep degreaser this time around.

    A recently removed dry latex paint overspray from tile floors with Jasco paint/epoxy thinner. It helped but the 2 bedroom apartment still took 3+ hours or major scraping with a wire brush. I want to find a Product/Method that will melt that shit away

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sup man , try using some floor stripper and black pad on a 175 if you don't have that throw some floor stripper down let it emulsify and use some elbow grease with a doodle bug. I'm assuming it's vct tile?

    Let’s say I was to clean a restaurants kitchen with this, would using this machine on the floor once a week harm the tile or should I space it out on how often I use it

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can definitely use it , it wouldn’t harm it on tile . Me personally I would use a big 175 cause it’s a lot larger and heavy especially in the kitchen area just because of the grease but you could use the oreck just will take longer to scrub .
      I would use it until it’s all cleaned up then Maintain it with your standard cleaning until it’s time to use it again periodically.

  • @anawhite1675

    Serious question. Do you throw the water on the floor then just use the scrubber brush? What are you using to get the excess water up?

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I normally fill up a small barrel with water and degreaser then use a flower pot to put the water down . let the cleaning solution dwell then scrub the floor and to pick up the water I use a wet and dry vac with a squeeze wand attached to it .

    Is this good enough for like dumpster pad and driveway concrete cleaning, ive been trying to get into cleaning concrete floors but unfortunately dont have a strong enough pressure, will this bad boy work as well as a pressure washer surface cleaner, say using this oreck orbital with a good degreaser and a mild pressure washer to rinse etc will it do in dumpster concrete and driveways etc?

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Raul I clean concrete floors but always with a standard 175 . I’m not even sure it will make a dent on a driveway with the orbitor I’ve never attempted it , you could try it out but I don’t think there’s enough weight to it . Not sure if you already own one but I’m assuming you don’t but if your going to buy one check out Facebook marketplace place and get a scrubber (175 ) used if your going to be doing driveway etc . I would try it out with what you suggested a degreaser then pressure wash it after and see how it comes out but I would definitely get a standard 175 they weigh about 80 lbs and hit it with an aggressive brush then blast it out cause you’ll be there all day with an orbitor . Do you have or tried using a surface cleaner ground washer ? Attached to your pressure washer as well . Hope this helps man . Sorry for the late reply just seeing this as yt hides most comments for some odd reason I have to keep searching for comments . Let me know how you make out or need recommendations on strong degreasers or anything else I can help out man .

      @@thesteammaster2737 i have heard of the surface cleaners but however I have a 2400 psi pressure washer with 2.5 gpm and I was told that won't be good enough for concrete driveways or dirty dumpster pads and most surface cleaners need a high psi 4000 and 4.0gpm minimum,this is why I was wondering if the orbitor will help because it's really cheap etc, I will look into a 175, and one more question will the orbitor be good to use as a budget setup for cleaning restaurant floors or just indoor floors like your doing in the video etc, thinking about going that route first to make the money to get real equipment, now I have a wet dry vacmaster 8gallon vacuum for the water and the mild pressure washer and strong degreasers etc, so will the orbitor be great for that? I don't have the money at all rn to upgrade to a better pressure washer and get a surface cleaner or a 175 etc, was hoping I can get a orbitor and make some kind of money with it

    • @thesteammaster2737
      @thesteammaster2737  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah definitely won’t help if you need that much psi . If you can snag the orbitor cheap or the 175 cheap then I would go for the bigger scrubber vs the orbitor but don’t break the bank either , if the orbiter is something that won’t really hurt you financially then definitely grab it just it will take a long time to scrub but any agitation is better then none at all .
      You could use it to do floor jobs but if you come into contact with very greasy floors in restraunts it will definitely be a challenge. I use the orbitor all the time for residential jobs such as wood floor cleaning and it works great and in this video I wanted to see how well it would clean on epoxy floors and it did a good job for the most part , you can definitely do commercial with it but depending on how bad it is and how big it is it will take you awhile .
      I know the feeling man don’t go crazy on equipment get what works for your budget and especially having the wet and dry vac is a start for sure.
      If you use any form of advertising to get work with your pressure washing end of it Facebook can work great to get residential leads and get some money coming in . Commercial is a whole different breed on the cleaning aspect of it
