This looks like a pretty good horror mod that ties in with Portal’s canon. It showcases some of the horrors Aperture’s employees had to endure at the hands of GLaDOS.
Great mod, Portal has a pretty creepy atmosphere itself, so it's cut out for something like this! One thing that I'm curious about, is the mod description and the initial beginning of the mod makes it seem like this is a corrupted file/exe Creepypasta type of mod, that this is a glitchy game build, however the latter part of the mod and the ending scene implies that there is an actual ingame story, that this is actually something happening in the Portal universe. Is it a combination of both, or did you initially want to make a haunted game, and decide to create a custom story at some point along the way?
@@gordonfreeman8109 To be honest, it did start off as a sort of "haunted game" sort of thing, but after a while I felt that that sort of thing would get a bit old, so I tried to put in a story that people would attach to. I tried to keep that haunted game feel later on in the end, but I feel that I could've done a better job lol. Hopefully v2.1 kept that feeling in the end!

I've thought of that idea once, but I feel as if the story of ERROR has kind of ended already with the main characters escaping. Plus, it would've taken forever to make, it took me around a year to make this 30 minute mod ;-;. I'm still working on the backstory of the mod though, it's on a separate TH-cam channel and I plan for it to be a bit bigger than ERROR!
This type of mod wouldn't really work for Portal 2, unless it just takes place in the office and Industrial sections of Aperture, and maybe a few test chambers
I have a theory that you play as Doug Rattman in this game. This is a parallel universe where Doug didn't escape GlaDOs and became a test subject. His schizophrenia is what causes all the scary stuff to happen. Plus, the companion cube had the heart drawn on it which kinda looks like its from the comic. Also Chell never got to be tested.

you should play portal 2's minecraft mod, i don't know if its a horror mod or not but it seems to do a great job with its claustrophobic atmosphere without music.
I was expecting more of a FNAF jumpscare type Portal game. Would love to see some scary faces and stuff, like Rattman as a zombie or GLaDOS getting up in your face with a scary sound.

The reason why there are no other horror Portal mods is because the game is creepy by itself.
When you said the sign was having an error, That is the actual texture that shows if portal isn't running correctly
