Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite pieces, as cliche as it might be as a choice. Your ocarina arrangement is beautiful. I think if you were ever to re-record this, I would recommend having a piano accompaniment that better complements your playing; and by that I mean...the piano part should be softer and more somber emotionally than the heavy-handed and rigid sound in this video, it sort of drowns out your playing at times.
A Swedish exchange student who went to my youth group played this Sunday at church on the piano... flawlessly o.o Somehow the ocarina adds such a haunting tone to this.
you just made my favorite song even better.. the original of this song always makes me smile, and you version does the same.. i cant even express how much i love this song, it always makes me feel better when i listen to it
There's one pitch at 1:02 that is the pinnacle of expression and beauty, that one note has a pitch so pure and clear that it made me feel goosebumps all over my body for the seconds that it resonated through me.
I liked, it's very good. Muito bom. Nunca tinha visto uma performance de ocarina. A tonalidade foi alterada para Dm por causa do alcance do intrumento. É uma tonalidade que acho muito impressionante, vigorosa e pacífica ao mesmo tempo.
Superb! I really enjoyed the Moonlight Sonata. It's a nice change from the usual video game music that most ocarinists seem to play. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
I got a double ocarina for Christmas, and its taking me ages to get used to switching between chambers. I do already have just a single chambered ocarina, and I am used to playing that. However, does anyone have any tips on getting better at chamber switching? Any help would be much appreciated :) Also this is a beautiful rendition of the Moonlight Sonata, I really enjoyed it! ^.^ The sound of the ocarina is perfect for the melancholic feel of this song.
It's nice but the piano is a little mechanized sounding and too a tiempo all time. But overall, really nice! Could you do Castle on a Cloud from Les Mis or maybe something from the video game Kingdom Hearts (and not "Simple and Clean" or "Dearly Beloved")
I just ordered my double ocarina. Can't wait to play it. This song gives me goosebumps lol
Beauty in its purest form!
It kind of puts you in a relaxed mood..

This is beautiful. I'm listening to this while upset and it calmed me down and allowed me to enjoy this even more.
Great job!
Just imagine if he played the 3rd movement.
Hahahaha

My favorite classical composition! YES
sounds so good! I have never heard the 1st movement like this and it is a treat to listen to!
I'd enjoy hearing this solo without accompaniment-it nearly subsumes your beautiful playing.
I first heard this years ago from meitantei conan and I've been in love with the piece ever since!
Oh wow, just found this like years later but it gives me shivers. In a good way! I love Ocarina and you play amazingly!
Absolutely beautiful! This was already my favorite classical piece in general, and you just made it that much more amazing, my friend.
I love it when he hits those lower notes.
Wow, nice playing, and nice collection of instruments behind you!
I was hoping that you'd play the the 3rd movement...
Love all types of artwork you produce, thanks for sharing to all... Phill
I've loved this piece ever since I played a Hamataro game on GBA when I was little

I love this guy in the Big Bang Theory. Haha. I had to say it. This is fantastic. I am very fascinated with the ocarina. So beautiful.
J'adore ! Je suis abonnée et je le reste ! :) Bravo
Loved it. Thanks for posting this one :)
Hey, have you ever considered doing any jazz? Like maybe doing a cover of spain by Chick corea? I think it would be cool!
Amazing...not suprising coming from you Doc :)
Perfect!
I got my first ocarina because of you. I thank you.....a lot

Good job
bethoven, so beautiful.
beautiful dog btw
Yes, that´s correct xD I also was the girl who was singing "Time is ours" together with David :D
Awesome
Excelente !!!!!!
Also, think you could try the third movement of Moonlight Sonata instead of just the first? You know... the cool part.
WOOOOOW ITS AWESOME!!!! DOCJAZZ U RLY KONW IT!!!, U COULD DO, "FOR ELISA"??
You should totally do "For River" from "To the Moon"
Great song, do make up the notes for the song or like find them online. Because it seems like a hard thing to do in just a few hours.
dude that was badass!
Can you play this song on a 12 hole ocarina? So beautiful!!!!!!
O.O I love this song!!! Awsome job!!! You're great man XD
@elementc That would be incredibly difficult. I'm not sure if a double ocarina even has that kind of range.
Thank you :>
awesome
I like your jazz´s piano :)
Haha, awesome!! :) The ocarina really gives this song its haunting appeal, eh.
Can you play My Heart Will Go On from Titanic? I think it would sound beautiful on an ocarina or two maybe.
Someone did youtube it
on a ocarina do Short Change Hero by The Heavy make it happen
good work david keep it up :D
This really makes me want to hear him do a rendition of "Distati" from Kingdom Hearts.
beautiful job man... :D
Nice!
DONE! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
Excellent as usual (Y)
I love Homestuck! Nice to see another fan!
Love it *_*
I really want to learn how to play an ocarina, specifically tenor. Do you have any suggestions for what I should start with?
I think it would be awesome if he played King of the Golden Hall from LotR.
I guess you don't need anyone telling you how good you are at that. I'm sure you already know.
pls try do play moonlight sonata 3rd movement
WHAT? I´m first? This is so beautiful T_T I love this song and... aaah... this feels/sounds a little bit like heaven
Fantastic :')
I played this on the violin :3
i first heard this song in a resident evil game
I enjoyed it very much, though the ocarina sounds a little too airy for my taste.
Ah I love this song, hey is that a secret door opening in the wall. Oh hey a shield crest!
Not bad. Now you need to get the second movement, and the third movement, and you have yourself the full piece.
I want an ocarina
You also realize that he did a lot of other themes like this, too, before he even did his Ocarina compilations, right?
Is it possible to find this ocarina anywhere? :D
Did i miss the part where he drops the base? What... What is this?
I love this song becouse of first resident evil who played it than know =p
now do third movement!!!
Omg it's you again
Amazing! 0_0
