I think this was the best group of musicians Modest Mouse had (Other than the original Isaac, Eric, and Jeremiah three piece) but just adding Tom, Dan and Joe to the mix sounded amazing.
TheBouncers I 100% agree. I actually liked the sound of the “Good News” album. I wish they would’ve released more material around 2003-2006, maybe it would’ve had a similar sound.
this show and most Austin city limits shows are pretty good, I really don't know why they horde all their material, like its kept in a vault never to be seen again, aren't these specials made to be watched like wtf
Modest Mouse are one of my favourite bands but for some reason you just can’t beat the album versions of their songs. I don’t think their music translates well to live performances at all! I saw them live once and remember being really disappointed. Their albums must take a lot of mixing because there’s just so much going on in their music!

Therefore it isn't freewill, because you' re being chastise at the end by the all watching eye in the sky. I don't agree with God gives you life and takes it back statement though 100%. More like god supposedly gave you free will, but he's mad at you for not making the right choices. Which means god isn't a unconditional lover, but only loves you if you do what he says.
