What a professional Norman was, without breaking character Norman showed Anderson up for what he is. Norman had this quality in his films showing up characters like Anderson and winning the day. RIP Norman, modern showbiz is so far up itself it never gave you the respect you deserve.
Anderson cannot control anyone like this legend who simply owns the audience the moment he walks in. the first 2 minutes shows how inept Anderson really is.
It proves he's a true legend when he can make an audience wet their pants laughing when he takes a drink of water :D God bless the Wisdom of Sir Norman Wisdom.
Was lucky to meet norman after one of his shows in the mid 90s at york barbican centre, I think it was in 1995 with my dad, he was so nice to everyone and took time to have a chat with me about the square peg and my favourite the early bird... I wish my grandad was there to meet him as he got me into his films, people use the word legend for anyone these days but he's a hero to so many people... Thank you Sir Wisdom x
Clive Anderson was the polar opposite of people like Graham Norton, who treats his guests with love and gets the best out of them that way. I loved when the Bee Gees stormed out.
I give it to Norman he didn’t quit singing when he was told they are out off time...loved that bloke I have a signed picture of me and my sister with Norman wishing us the best...
A four letter word & anderson is full of it! Norman you were a Legend & spread so much happiness in your life. We will never see another like you. Your family will be so proud of you. anderson's family probably say " him? oh I'm not related to that talentless loser" hahahaha LOL RIP Norman. God bless you.
If anyone ever doubted Wisdom's genius this interview should lay it to rest. Despite Anderson's rude behavior, Wisdom stays in control which in turn makes Anderson look like a buffoon. I think the word nice was invented for Wisdom as he never seems to lose his ability to project that quality.
Never understood Clive Anderson’s appeal when I was young and he should have stayed as a barrister. Sir Norman should have had the whole show to himself to tell anything he thought of saying. His autobiography is amazing and I’ve always admired him and always will.
Norman wisdom was one of the comieidens of his generation and there is a lot of todays comics who were influenced by him to this day the world was a better place .
To give Clive Anderson a break... it was either doing interviewing or being a target in a shooting gallery. It`s just a shame he went with interviewing.
Norman Wisdom was absolutely brilliant, but Clive Anderson just didn't appreciate having him there and should have let Norman do his thing from the very start of the interview and just rolled with it like any good presenter would have done
Unfortunately Clive Anderson, like Terry Wogan and Jonathan Ross, never made good interviewers as they wanted to be the centre of attention; Parkinson was the master as he hardly said anything. Norman Wisdom was such a great comedian he never allowed Anderson the upper hand.
he was my hero, a legend he made me ,laugh in my teens and makes me laugh now,an amazeing man, love you norman, and so do millions of others,i wished i could had met this talented guy he was wonderful r.i.p xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
clive anderson's failing is that he fails to research/prep before the show and then uses the interview to gain info he should already know. If he prepped then he would be able to gently expand on such info and give the guest chance to talk freely. Michael Parkinson knew how to do this well,as can be seen in his 1970's shows. As for Woss he comes across as wanting to be his own guest!!!
I wasn`t a fan of Clive Anderson. He wasn`t a good interviewer in my opinion, being so full of himself and always talking over the guests. The Bee Gees interview was the best example of his bombastic and deplorable rhetoric. The best thing I can say about the man is... I`m so glad he isn`t on television anymore.
Clive Anderson, worst interviewer ever. It's hard to know what his agenda is. He is rude, yes, but he's also completely artless . You don't have to lick your guests' arse, but a little respect would deliver a much better interview, from which EVERYONE would benefit, INCLUDING Mr Anderson.
The programme was called Clive Anderson Talks Back. The idiotic ‘premise’ was that Clive would get his celebrity guests on to the show and he would talk back and interrupt them with his particular brand of sarcastic smart arsery. After the Bee Gees debacle he never went back to TV and now in a similar fashion ruins Front Row, the otherwise excellent Saturday evening arts magazine show on BBC R4. He’s still as charmless, unfunny and disrespectful to his guests today. He and the powers that be don’t seem to grasp that he is always the least interesting person in the room and that cheap sarcasm is not wit.
It did happen with the Bee Gees back in 1997, you can see it on TH-cam. But most guests have no problem. He just has a kinda sharp and caustic sense of humour, that's all. He's still at it today.
Little man who has a big heart absolutely fantastic comedian RIP Norman
From England ❤❤❤
A British legend
There will never be another Norman
He will be loved for the rest of history as he ever was .... WE LOVE YOU NORMAN ❤

Such a beautiful man. Rest in peace Mr. Norman.
I don’t understand how someone could be so kind and happy going through what he went through. What a man
Clive Anderson how on earth did he get this job!
Anderson cannot control anyone like this legend who simply owns the audience the moment he walks in. the first 2 minutes shows how inept Anderson really is.
Grew up watching Norman wisdom , highlight of my Sundays 😀
I still love this man. He is truly one of the greats
It proves he's a true legend when he can make an audience wet their pants laughing when he takes a drink of water :D God bless the Wisdom of Sir Norman Wisdom.
I grew up watching Norman as a kid... he was a gem of an actor . This interview was spoilt by Clive Anderson , why does he have to keep butting in !
Sir Norman Wisdom one of the best :D
I’m only 13 and I love this man so much. What a talent
Sir legend Norman what a man
What a prat Anderson is.
RIP Norman.
Succinct and straight to the point! Well said.
Clive Anderson loves his own voice....very rude to Norman
He's always like that, and Norman expected it. He's totally acting it out here, legend that he was.

Worlds best comedian

Norman wisdom what a legend made others laugh myself included even though his life was far from easy I salute him he's ex armed forces too respect
All children from my time just love Norman.
wonderful how he used Clive as his straight man.
Anderson never stood a chance against this genius of a man, Norman used him as his prop despite Anderson inability to be funny ....RIP
Norman wisdom was one of the comieidens of his generation and there is a lot of todays comics who were influenced by him to this day the world was a better place .
a true legend sat by a rude bafoon......love norman!!!

wonderful, legend
Norman is supposed to be the clown, but he easily made Anderson look the fool.
To give Clive Anderson a break... it was either doing interviewing or being a target in a shooting gallery. It`s just a shame he went with interviewing.
@@tonewheel1773 For all we know the whole ending was probably rehearsed

Clive kept interrupting Norman.
The show is about the person he invited on the programme.
Not about Cive anderson.
RUDE.

When TV was literally addictive, now its opposite
How Annoying is the Clive Anderson! Thank god his not on TV! LET THE MAN SPEAK FFS!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

You can see who inspired Lee Evans!
anderson hits a new low- pathetic ! norman the legend
So what happened to Clive Anderson's career again?
The ever professional Norman Wisdom outshines the very ignorant Anderson
Anyone know what year this was? or how old he was at the time?
Pity about Anderson.
You can see what a charlatan Lee Evans is by stealing Norman’s entire act and persona. A true comedic great R.I.P.
He was a very troubled man

Clive Anderson is not the best interviewer this is painful to watch
I am not liking clive anderson, ive heard him before, and ive known guests walk out because of his of his cheek.
Fuck up
It did happen with the Bee Gees back in 1997, you can see it on TH-cam. But most guests have no problem. He just has a kinda sharp and caustic sense of humour, that's all. He's still at it today.
Clive Anderson mr personality NOT
smug smug smug smug smug smug
Anderson is out of his depth with Norman. He came over as a real tit.
Clive Anderson is so funny and clever
Clive Anderson makes me cringe in every interview. Just no good as an interviewer.
