I met Norman Wisdom, I shared a lift with him at Alicante airport in 2002. Very nice and humble man I had my son who was a baby then. Just an1 in a million chance of meeting him.
Bless him. I’ve been rewatching his old movies on you tube.. he reminds me so much of my Granddad who was born a year before him, he too was very poor and had a hard life as a child, and went through starvation and had to steal food. One time he didn’t eat for a week and stole an apple. Very hard times. We don’t know how lucky we are today! RIP Norman. Thank you for the laughs ❤
Absolutely a wonderful man and a great great comedian. Loved watching him. Thank you Sir Norman Wisdom for the wonderful memories Rest in eternal peace Weheguruji Weheguruji
I had the honour of seeing him perform live in Ottawa, Ontario. He was not a young man when I saw him, but his routine was high energy and still full of pratfalls. He always made me think of Chaplin's hobo character, with lines.
Gloria is delightful insightful a professional and I love her, our dear Norman legend could not have had a more wonderful cohesion. Love you so much Norman and Gloria. Also Glorias daughter always loved never forgotten. ❤
To me, I think it’s safe to say that this guy was the Robin Williams of his day. He had both a mixture of joy and sadness in his eyes whenever he spoke, similarly to Robin, but was also a natural entertainer and great actor who excelled just as much at drama (check out the BBC movie he did with Judi Dench in the early 80’s called “Going Gently) as he did at comedy. RIP dear man. Hope you are making people up there laugh!
So talented. I've seen him play, bugle, saxophone, drums, piano, horn...just about anything. Not to mention his acting, singing and stunt work. Great great all round entertainer.
I can't believe he walked from London to Cardiff (and back) and talked about it like it was nothing. So glad he lived a long life after having such a tough time early on.
He used to tell these sad stories from his early life repeatedly and wonder if they’re as genuine as he’d have us believe or if they’re embellished for sentimental effect. There were always sentimental syrupy scenes in his films to evoke the same emotions from the audience.
His family lied about norman especially his sons wife saying he kept falling over to get him in an old peoples home it was disgusting his daughter saying she is not leaving her dog to stay with norman in the isle of man his son was embarrased when norman said he sold his motorbike and rolls royce without normans permission that embarrased him and his wife went straight in the kitchen.they would have nothing if it was not for norman they could not wait for him to be in a home so they could sell his lovely house in the isle of man he was not even allowed visitors in the home why not i knew he would die soon after in that home norman give up and died of boredom i think his family are disgusting
Listen to his jokes, his one liners are very similar humour to Spike Milligan, kind of the music hall generation humour. They were peers after a fashion.
Met him a couple of times. A natural entertainer. He'd make you laugh just by walking in the room. They don't make them like that anymore.
Such a humble man, he makes joke's about his early life. But you can tell in his eye's, it saddens him. Great entertainer, love his films from the 50s
I totally love Norman. I miss him so much 😢❤
this man is a legend....i just loved him god bless norman you was stuffed by your family in the end

I shared a birthday with Norman Wisdom, every time I have my birthday I think of him!
He may joke .
But you know he was desperate.
He took that chance and we all benefited.
Sir Norman brilliant comedy actor, he also took serious roles. He met Laurel and Hardy in the UK and USA too.

I would have loved to have met him, the only one i've ever wanted to meet. Bless you Norman and your family.

Love him , same person as Sylvester Stallone who also is relatable to me 😊
