It would be helpful if you showed the viewer which blocks you are sewing together
Variation ½ square triangle in the corner where the solid blue square is, it turns into a pinwheel

HI, I have really enjoyed following you two in your videos. I would suggest if you are getting too busy to put the pdf up.. ( This has been a very consist pattern for longer than a month).. just eliminate the line that says pattern coming soon. I love how you are finding a new niche in the quilting tutorials. If you read the comments in this video. a pdf layout would have left them all happy. thanks
I know! Are they going out of business? The word of mouth advertising is that they are since they haven't posted free patterns in more than a month. They need to follow through with their word. They will never get to the Jenny or Donna Jordan status because of this.

Pattern is great - needs more detail directions from Brody. I really enjoy watching Teancum that explains well and always smiles which makes the pattern seem easier to follow. Maybe Sarah or the other girls can do a few online patterns. Variety is always best. Just a suggestion. Thanks

Wish we could see what the block looks like as you're sewing it together. You moved so fast, we couldn't see what the individual blocks looked like. I love the effect, just not sure I understand how it was made.

Hi, I'm lost from the start cause you took the dark colour and the light and sew them in the centre you said we need 12 of this. That was the size of 4". Then what was the next size we looking at??? Would be good if it was shown as you did each step and mentioning the sizes so for newbies like me I can understand. Plus you talk abit too fast.

When you advised that the easiest way to sew correctly is to lay out the pattern, why didn’t you take an overhead shot? A tutorial is about teaching.

Sew frustrating not being able to see how the layout was done, otherwise it could have been just audio because one couldn’t see much of the construction. Otherwise love the quilt pattern.

Ummmm.......I like the colors. The pattern brings to mind a swastika though. Am I the only one who sees that?
Betterdaze S - no, you’re not the only one. I immediately saw it in the thumbnail for the video. It’s crazy how easy it can be for a quilt block or secondary pattern to end up looking like that symbol. It’s one of my biggest quilting fears- accidentally making a “swastiquilt”. I can see how, when one is making the block, our eyes might not see it at first. I don’t think it would be so noticeable here if there was less contrast between colors (but, on second thought, it shows up in the background, too). The Sew Yeah guys always do such a great job, and this is an unfortunate accident on an otherwise beautiful pattern. :(
Half Square Mama everything you said makes sense. I am new to quilting and have not seen a secondary pattern that looks like a swastika until now. I guess I will have to pay closer attention. Thanks.

I think its time you look at how other quilt youtubers do tutorials. Big mistake not showing the block before it was sewn together, as now we don’t know how you arranged your HST.

I like the quilt but found it very frustrating that you don’t show the blocks laid flat so I could really see what you were doing. The closeups of you stitching are not helpful,I could not see what two pieces of fabric you were sewing together. Please ask your camera person to be aware we quilters like to see a pieced block develop.

This looks way to much like a swastika to be appealing. Sorry. We have to be careful with pinwheel-type designs in the quilting world, for that very reason.
My first thoughts as well............ although a clever quilter could take the swas out of the tika.
I think with the right prints and colors it could end up looking. Like looking down at a bouquet of flowers.
Not even close. Asked 3different German people and they said, not even close. Do you even know what it looks like?
HRHDMKYT Sastika goes the other way round, which is why all pin wheels turn to the right and not the left lol
