    Awesome review as always. The smaller stuff is great for those of us stuck home. Getting tough here in NJ. Thanks!!

    Commenting before I’ve even seen the video, I know it’s going to be good. My hx100se came in the mail last night! Super excited to do the setup and fly today, I’m also swapping to the c01 pro camera myself. Stay safe!

    Building one of these myself. Love the hx100 on 2 and 3s, and wanted a lighter one I can fly in smaller spaces. I'll be using the hx100 se frame, but putting the mobula 6 board and cam on it, with the beebrain v2 mount and geprc 1102 14000kv motors.

      I’ll be flying this one up and down the street during quarantine !

      How did this build end up working for you?

    • @valden
      @valden 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielfranklin5224 great, actually. All up weight was 32 grams and would be lighter with direct solder. Using the beebrain v2 mount and runcam nano 3. Broke the frame and now it's on a damfastfpv toothpick cut to 2mm. Good. Stuff

    It sure would be nice of Betafpv to upgrade the old m01 to their newer camera. The beta85 now ships with the a01, it's much better in low light and I can even fly some after sunset. The beta85 also ships with a new tougher canopy (did you say the hx100 has injection molded canopy?). Maybe hx100 will get the same quiet upgrade?

    Great video! What do you think for back garden ripping in a moderately sized garden - this, the Larva X or the Tinyhawk 2/Race? Thanks!

      This would be an excellent garden ripper!

      If that's what you want look up the BetaFPV 95x.

      Eventually a Vista one for sure.

    Did they fix that potato chip weak point in the frame in this? We have 2 first editions, (Humquad HX100) and they basically cracked and the arms folded up toward each other!
    I still have those quads, but didn't want to use the same old frame. Maybe now I can get this new, improved frame and salvage my oldies?

    • @dronecamps
      @dronecamps  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should get the new frame yep. Hum quad version is really old now.

      I’ve been flying this frame daily for a few weeks without any failures. I purchased 4 frames, and all came in at less than 4g each.

    Isn’t this a desync?!?
    I have one since December. Love the power and flight characteristics.
    Issues I had:
    Motor bottom is weak and the screws stripped quickly! So please lock-tight them all before use!!
    My fc locked up similar to yours. Don’t know why...
    The tune is not great. I have lot more bubbles. I tried to improve it, alas no luck. That one is tricky compared to larger toothpicks.
    If anyone has a CLI dump or some PIDs for that one, please post :)
    Thanks for the review and good idea to switch to smaller crafts!

      I have totally lost use of the screw holes in 3/4 motors on my 1102 13500kv motors. I have to super glue the motors to the carbon, now.

    • @nikotttin
      @nikotttin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ah ah me too 😂
      I actually use M1.4 screws In addition. That worked very well.

    • @rickinjax2330
      @rickinjax2330 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This must be a design flaw, I have two stripped screw holes on my hx100 se as well. I also have a lot of vibration, regardless of what type of props I’m running. I built a similar setup using the hx100 se frame, the Mobula6 FC, camera and canopy with Happymodel 1102 9000kv motors and Gemfan flash 2540 three blade props. It weighs 28g, flys fantastic on a 300mah whoop battery. It’s a night and day difference compared to the betafpv model.

      @tiefflugfabi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickinjax2330 so you fly 9000kv Motors with 1s ?

    • @rickinjax2330
      @rickinjax2330 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fabian Peifer Yes, with the 3 blade props. I prefer the gemfan 2540, but the EMAX Avan are more durable. The gemfan props are whisper quiet, but if you crash a lot, like I do, then they start to create some jello in the video after you have straightened out the bent props. The emax props don’t bend as much in crashes, but they decrease the flight time a little.

    Loved this one but the canopy is so garbage it will shatter on a simple crash
