Introducing the "Gran Turismo 7" Free Update - July 2024

- At the ‘Gran Turismo World Series 2024 Round 1 - Montreal’ held in Canada on July 6, 2024 (local time), the contents of the Gran Turismo 7 Update (1.49) released on Thursday, July 25 were revealed.
This video introduces some of the content introduced in this update including a much anticipated new track ‘Eiger Nordwand', 6 additional cars, updated car physics, the inclusion of Michelin tires, a new wheel brand, and additional track compatibility for the next generation racing AI Agent 'Gran Turismo Sophy'.

I think that Impreza Rally Car & Eiger Norwand combo was a callback to the E3 Gran Turismo HD Concept demo back in 2005
Bro that's the feeling I got from it! I remember reading Gameinformer magazine when I was like, 11, seeing screenshots of the Impreza rally car on Eiger Norwand. I even played the Gran Turismo HD demo at a Circuit City. I'm so happy to see this track return!

Have to say, im fairly excited for that alone.
The fact that GT7 has been out for over 2 years, and we're still getting extremely high quality updates, not just some that add a few cars/bug fixes to say they still support the game, just shows why Gran Turismo is one of the best modern racing games. No game is perfect, but as long as it's enjoyable, that's all that matters.

The thing that I genuinely love about these GT7 trailers is that they use proper, in-game footage. No tricks or gimmicks to make the game look better than it is. Nice to see Eiger Norwand return!
Yes those are in game footage. They don't need pre rendered footage to showcase the game.

Hate to break it to you but this is pre-rendered game engine footage. It’s using Ray Tracing at 60fps with custom made tracking cameras in a development version of the game that renders out as a sequence frame by frame
If anyone worried about the prices of those tires, i believe it is because they have shown Japanese version of the game where the prices are adjusted to resemble their own currency so don't worry it will be fine 😎

@@kikoelargento9905sophy is an experimental AI thats only avaible to be raced against on some tracks (around 7). Its only aviable for ps5. This AI is more intelligent, capable, makes mistakes and its really fun to play against!
@@Terence911I just wish Sophy in its current form were faster. It’s so much better than the normal ai but I still have no trouble winning. Would like a little more of a challenge in addition to the more realistic racing.

Looked forward to see Marcos Mantaray GT 600 LMGT2 being added into GT7 real soon.
Since I bought the game I wanted that M3 and now that I was just looking for the E36 M3 to buy it in real life they put it in the game, I will really enjoy this update

Yes!!! Eiger Norwand returns I miss that track was fun to drive on during the PS3 era, Gallardo and 430 returns.
The F430 is already in the game, but having the Scuderia is cool too

This track is super significant to GT history. It was the first new track modeled for the PS3 engine (maybe the first track period but that's speculation)

I would imagine so, the scene shown at 0:07 is from the very long rally layout I believe. Along with the new rally physics and Impreza ‘98, I’d sure hope so!
I hope they are included. They are there, if you look closely, in the first seconds you can see dirt roads, but I don't know if they will be accessible...
The dirt track in the video looks more like fishermans ranch and the section where you first go onto dirt on the last turn of the tarmac track from the original looks more like a foot path but fingers crossed

But wasnt it mostly because the rear end was too unstable on all cars? I remember playing it day 1 and it was just too much, spining bmw m3 at 50 kph while on 20% throtle, i dont want to go back to that lmao
@@djeezy808yep, I still remember the unstable rear end on Audi R8 GT3 and Ford GTE, which would oversteer at every corner entry after braking. it was so annoying... ,😄

新物理演算がどう変わったのかも楽しみだが、何よりHD世代の幕開けに現れたアイガー北壁が再収録されるのはとても感慨深い。忘れてる人もいるが、当時のGTHDではこのインプレッサWRCが収録されてたのだ。
レイアウト変わってそうで 当時のアイガーより高速コースになってたら残念ですね。
