The barman in bar Heidrun looks alot like a younger Thomas Mutton, from Catherine. Could they be possibly related?
If I remember correctly Catherine takes place on space colony on a moon or some foreign world (I believe it's implied in the neutral ending, it's not outright confirmed) so I say it's possible that it takes place before Catherine ever takes place.

They did implement some kind of social link in one of their smt spin-off too, it was Fates in Devil Survivor 2.
@@gaiko804 Yeah but the fate system have consequences that resulted in one of your allies to die if you don't handle the fate system well unlike this or the social link
@@mysteryboii4869 Honestly, I like the perks it gives to your characters when you level up their Fates but imo it's just how DeSu1 functions (characters dying if you don't do certain things) but without the Fates.

...Is the game gonna let you ship Ringo and Arrow? As this bonding mechanic reminded me of how even though Hibiki and Io from Devil Survivor 2 have a LOT of ship teases through their Fate events. The goddamn game NEVER lets them go all out in the relationship!

Why the hell is there 'soul level'. This game straight up removes features like demon loyalty and the Zoma that were exclusive to soul hackers 1 and instead just copied generic bond level mechanics like from fire emblem. Way to kill the identity of the series lol. Its a real shame cuz i want to like this game and I'm sure itll be fun but its so far removed from the original soul hackers that they should have made a new IP, there desperately needs to be a lot of connections to the og soul hackers story wise w/ some of the spookies showing up.
To be fair, 95% of people hate the loyalty system. It's a decent idea that's obnoxious in practice.

@@louish5068 Soul Hackers already was that sequel, and it elevated the loyalty system from "god-awful" to "serviceable". The modern equivalent of the Loyalty system is the AI party members in Persona. People fucking hate that system so thoroughly that everyone switches to manual control at the first opportunity.
@@daevious_ I like it loyality system in Devil Summoner games. Only people who dont know how to deal with them hate it.
The other worst thing, they removed also Magnetite and 6 demon party system. Now Soul Hackers 2 is just Soulless Hackers 2 without own identifity, and copy paste mechanics from Persona 3-5 and Devil Survivor 2. Now it's even not TMS 2 but just Persona 5,5.
