This game has stolen a piece of my heart. Such a phenomenal game with such freaking amazing music!!! Thank you Bend Studio for this! Thank you Billy for this amazing song!
i don't think the game deservers a perfect 10, BUT the game is still unfairly underrated and had it had a better studio, it could have been a game of the year contender
Sony pushed Bend way to hard. The story was legit cut up (in the beginning) and some parts had no meaning to the story such as the girl in Marion Forks Lisa Jackson. She really had no purpose other than a place filler. I don't know if I can blame Bend for this games short comings and bugs it had on release day. I do give them kudos for the music though. And using Zander for the Gazeebo music, spot on! However on a side note, the way "Deke" was talking with Boozer on the ride to Lost Lake, I actually thought he was going to mercy kill Boozer by the sounds of the talk. I was pleasantly surprised. And I do disagree with the shitty critics. I truly believed this to be one of my more favorite games that I have played in a long time.
@Becker Elaywan I agree with you 100% ironically enough in spite of what I wrote some time ago. Ironically enough, I have 100% this game like 7 more times since. ANd another irony, my wife and I just had this conversation about Lisa like 4 or 5 days ago as I was playing and Lisa came in and cut "Deac" free and tossed down the knife in the ripper camp. My wife and I basically had the same discussion and talked the same scenario you just typed up as well. However, I feel as though she had more of a role to begin with. Sony did push Bend REALLY hard to get this game out. It was why it was so bug ridden. For a studio that hadn't released a game on their own since Syphon Filter, I'd say they did a mighty fine job. This game was easily one of my all time favorites.
I still play this game hoping we get a sequel and even though it will never happen i can't help but hold on to it l. I loved the story and the music so i refuse to give up on this game.

I love this song so much I play it over and over sometimes Billy. It holds special memories from me and my husband's time together before we broke up. I'm still in the grieving phase of it all.
This game has stolen a piece of my heart. Such a phenomenal game with such freaking amazing music!!! Thank you Bend Studio for this! Thank you Billy for this amazing song!
Honest screw the reviews this game is 10/10 when the music kicks in driving Boozer to Lost Lake or Looking for Sarah. Perfect!
i don't think the game deservers a perfect 10, BUT the game is still unfairly underrated and had it had a better studio, it could have been a game of the year contender
Couldn't have said it better
My fav game of last gen. Prob top 3 all time. Replaying on PS5 at 60fps right now. OMG 60fps transforms this game!!
We all know years after the apocalypse is over st.john is a legend a candle in an age of darkness
This is Mark Copeland for Radio Free Oregon: don't believe IGN's reviews!
That's funny
The truth shall set you free
This is the best TH-cam message ever
That's the most truthful thing I've ever heard. But screw Copeland
Idc what anyone says. This game was a masterpiece
Always come back to this. Memories mean more than anything
This game
The Story of Deacon St John..
Just wow....
Amazing journey
The opening riff sends chills down my spine.
The whistling serenades my soul
I played the game to the hilt when it came out. Still came back for the soundtrack. I was going through some stuff. This really helped.
Billy rafoul really broke hearts on thus one
I still play this game hoping we get a sequel and even though it will never happen i can't help but hold on to it l. I loved the story and the music so i refuse to give up on this game.
Bend's next game was leaked. Will be another multi-player flop!! I'm afraid sony will close this studio just like what happened with concord.
😢

Same heavy hitting game

I miss you more, every day. Little did I know my life would never be the same without you in it.
Platinum a couple weeks ago, such a beautiful song! Driving over the mountains 🥲
Yeah... I honestly can’t remember the last time a game brought me to tears..
Feel like i prefer living in the game than in real life...
The last of us hit me pretty hard
Jordan what about redemption 2
We HAVE TO HAVE a Days Gone 2, with the same cast and musicians, because it just made you feel more then most movies do, and there are too many questions to be answered!!!

Yeah like I bet Jack is still alive somewhere

Beautiful! I’ve been with you the whole time. I had to let you find your way through.. to find your way..home.💗💗
Just a Masterpiece 😢
Playing again in November 2023, still amazing!
Esse jogo é incrível 😢, só queríamos a continuação 🙏🏻🙌🏻
One of the best game in PlayStation
I hope we will have part 2
For anyone fighting depression this song is a reason to keep going.
just finished the game..
this moment and the ending got me so much..
I wish they make part 2...
It has so MUCH potential :(
I think they might.
You got me with this Days Gone.
It's even better the fact the melody never ends so it keeps the flow of the scene until you cross the mountain.
This song is simply flawless, his voice has a rawness to it that makes anything he sings sound so gorgeous, I love all his songs, especially "Difficult", but this one is now my new favorite!!
I'd love if someone made a lyric video for this song, when I searched Google & TH-cam I couldn't find any yet, if any one else is able to find one or if you post one please let me know, Thx!!
My fav from him is i'm not a saint.
So much power
@@calmdawn8648 Agreed, that is another great song, it has great lyrics that ring true!
Here Because Of The Wedding Trailer 🙏🏽 So Emotional, Cant Wait Till This Game Drops
Know it won't happen but still WISHING for days gone 2!!
The scene when he/you FINALLY found her ..... when they met .... how she reacted... it destroyed the whole feeling .... the whole game for me...
Riding up the mountain on the bike searching for sarah and hearing this beauty of a song play... I shazamed the shit out it... what a gorgeous song to sit and reflect to as well immersing you deeper into the story and characters emotions.
I've been listening to Billy way before the "Days Gone" presentation was released. He deserves this exposure.
Edit: Who has flipped their cellphone upside down to see how thee picture was "meant" to be seen?!
2nd edit: Read the comments to my comment & go & listen to "Difficult" by this man.
Wow you're so artistically sound man
I had the honor of playing a live show with Billy Raffoul's father Jodi Raffoul. What amazing voices... The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
I literally just stopped my bike and started just looking around enjoying the scenery of snow all over the horizon just didn’t want it end
Yeah it was so magic, fuck metacritic, they just throw shit cuz there's newts and little bugs but they didnt even played till the end
Just caught this on the Days Gone trailer and didn't expect the full song to hit me this hard. I'm recently divorced and this song perfectly captures the desperation of trying to hold on to the person I loved and trying not to give up on that person even though she'd tell me to.
Sorry bro Stay strong brother theres plenty more out there
Yea I had the same mix of emotions. Just had a break up after 3 years and those first few lyrics hit me hard af
@@tommymc5604 Thank you. It means a lot, man, really.
@@SageofSorrow I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard but hang in there. I wish you the best man.
6 years here. Shit..
I’ve played many games. This is one of the greatest games ever made.
Great game, great song. Give us part 2!!!
2024 still one of the best games out there. Hope for a second part!
I meditate to this song now and forget I lost my other half soul mate from another country I’ve felt in a vivid vision and dream and sense him with me in spirit, mind, body and soul through astral projection. Now inspired by klanglos ❤
Rip
My condolences for your loss I’m glad he got to play this masterpiece though via con Dios
Thanks days gone to bring me here
Love this song reminds me of my dad ❤ rip Big man X
It's sad to me how many people turn the music on only because of some games.
Billy, thank you for sharing a part of yourself with the world. The song really shows emotions. Thanks.
This moment in the game shit got real!
You know what is great. Greets from germany my friend.
Isn’t funny how a random song just instantly brings flashes of memories back to you, if you have a experience that fits it? Amazing song, and amazingly beautiful and painful memories. Bravo Billy and Sony 👏🏻
man! your thoughts, voice and you. you are matchless person and ı love you!
I'm eternally addicted to Days Gone. I hope so much for Days Gone 2
we can only hope. i doubt it will happen. Would love a tv show
Days Gone brought me here; great music - it's such an emotional piece
When this song came on during the ride through the mountains, I shut off everything so I could hear it as I rode through... it hits you so hard and makes you really feel what Deacon is going through as he searches for Sarah.
Lyrics :
You never know what tomorrow may bring
The woman lyin' next to you could be a memory
I've idolized, I've memorized your face
Just in case, I need it last me eternity
It's a shame that it ain't enough for me
Life's for the the livin', I won't be givin' up
'Cause you taught me how to, you taught me how to love
Take all I cherished, beat me 'til my body's numb
But life's for the livin', I won't be givin' up
On you
On you
On you
On you
I should've known, should've tried to hold on
And never left your heart where it don't belong
If the wind would change, bring you back again, my love
Come Hell or high water, we will rise above
You are what I believe in, you are enough
Oh, life's for the the livin', I won't be givin' up
Oh, you taught me how to, you taught me how to love
Take all I cherished, beat me 'til my body's numb
But life's for the livin', I won't be givin' up
On you
On you
On you
On you
Even though, I know you'd tell me to
So beautiful song. Thank you!
I'm in this position with my person and I'd rather burn the fuck alive then not do everything in my power to keep her
@@colecoffey9551 did it work out for you?
Thank you
This song is so beautiful and painful all at the same time. Especially that last line. Kills me every time. Hits way too close to home.
This song hits me hard twice. First Red Dead Redemption when John was able to go back to his family and your riding home. Then this that ride on the mountain
I get emotional listening to this song
One of the 4 or 5 times I cried during this game. And I hadn't cried in like 10 years.
This song just captures the sadness of loving someone so much that losing them is your worst fear because you know it will wreck you. That fear of losing them and never feeling the warmth of them in your life again. The fear that deacon actually had to live through I keep coming back to this song and it gets better with each listen. It's a wonderful song and an amazing game.
This is the kind of music that I will find in LIFE IS STRANGE
In 2024, I found the time to play this masterpiece game, and it's the kind of game I managed to finish twice in a month. What a beautiful game, OMG, what a story!
Loved playing days gone ..
Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Yo, this game was freaking amazing.
I want this song to be played in my funeral. ❤😢
