Hi Chick. First of all I hope you well during this hard time that we are going through. I'm writing you here (I really don't know if this message will really get to you) for letting you know about my work and studying in Cuba regarding Art, Music and Theater direction in the ISA institute. I'm originally Italian and when I arrived to Cuba in 1998 I realized that there were the conditions (for people's Talent and for the musical glorious past) to create the first Cuban Broadway Show, mixing the rhythms and the American Aesthetic with the Cubans. I wrote , arranged and initially produced the Musical called "¿Qué Bolá? In 2001 (in English is 'What's up?' right after September 11) but only after 10 years of unstoppable knockin doors the Cuban Government allowed me to directed and produced the play by my own (and by my limited economy conditions) for the first time in the Cuban Theater Musical history. Resuming thre story I was a sort of pioneer. I really would love to at least share this play with you (there are 28 unrealised tracks over there) and try to sensibilize the people about Cuba, having the play one unique goal: #stoptheembargo and create cultural gates between countries where diversity and difficulties are the engine to make art and not a deterrent to avoid that type of work because could go against a lot of critics and political issues and limitations. The Entire play is available on my Instagram (@therealvolckersberg) and is for free. I'm not looking for visibility or notoriety. During this particular period I realized that I need to give dignity to my work and artistic vision vibrating in a Jazz State of mind. This disease is invisible and could kill me anytime (I do live in Brazil actually and the moment that we are facing is terrible).
