I do okinawan kenpo karate been doing it for 5 years and we also do jujitsu and it has grappling but also outside of that I learned judo and krav maga throws also I started muay thai and karate really counters muay thai especially with its clinchs

Appreciate this one a lot, thanks man. It's easy to see some kihon techniques in these drills pretty clearly, I'll bring 'em to the dojo tonight and do some partner drills.

I've done Judo for years, and some Judo schools are missing the Atemi-waza. There is an organization called The Ju-Jitsu International Federation, it is been around since 1998. It's pretty much a mix of Japanese style Karate and Japanese-Jiu Jitsu. They teach striking and grappling for competition use and self defense.

That’s awesome! I’ve always said there’s nothing new under the sun just things go out of fashion and are forgotten and brought back

Im only a 1st Dan so with all do respect to you guys as legitimate martial artist but looking at what you're doing as a lowly purple in juijitsu you guys need to learn with experienced jits guys because your making huge mistakes that can easily be exploited but easily fixed with a qualified instructor. Also your reactions are not the reactions of an experienced juijitsu practioner. So your creating bad habits that can be taken advantage of. No disrespect intended. Think about a black belt in juijitsu try to learn karate without a legitimate pedigreed instructor.

great comment and thanks for the concern, funnily enough I'm actually a 2nd degree black belt in BJJ. This video is just showing concepts and us going at 20% resistance for demonstration purposes. Hope that makes sense! I appreciate the concern though and there are nuances to grappling with strikes versus without

Here you go dude, I came up in Gracie Barra, moved to Pedro sauer, and now ranked under Carlos Machado. Competed at ibjjf and local tournaments since 2011. I take pride in my BJJ belt, as a former combat base and veterans BJJ instructor in beorne, TX. It’ll be a disservice to everyone who trained with me and that I’ve trained with if I don’t defend my rank. My credentials are all public
