I just got a 2024 R3 with 6 miles on it and going to ride it for the first time next week when I get my motorcycle endorsement. Haven’t rode a bike (2016 R3) since like 2018. If I drop it I’m deleting myself. 😂
taking my permit test tm then I'm hitting the dealership. MSF course was a breeze. Cant wait to join the R3 community
so do you need your permit or anything for an msf course?
@@haydencooley1957 Nope it's so you can get your permit, mine was $300 for the course M 6-9pm then sat-sun 6:30am-3:30pm with skills test first then written test. Then $72 for get the endorsement on your license.

@@haydencooley1957 In Maryland yes, I heard they will sell you a bike without it, but with so many Police it's best to just get it. Just make sure you look at where you want to go, when I did the u-turn I kept looking at the line they said don't cross and I would cross the line, when I looked at where I'm suppose to exit the box the u-turn was simple.
I purchased a 2023 r3. Been enjoying her.
I bought a 2019 R3 two months ago barely has any miles on it cause i rained like hell where i live. Stalled like a mofo on hills still get trouble at times. I try to stay more to the left or right of the lane so cars can past if i stall. People should stop talking about clutch, braking etc and help new people get through the fear of being on the road in traffic. Hell I'm still scared at times. Great video man
Some tips for inclines:
1) Keep your foot on R brake, let go of F
2) (Few seconds before light turns green) Clutch in friction zone to the point stalling
3) Let go of brake
4) Maintain clutch position
5) Throttle out progressively
The way I practice is when I’m at a red light is always try finding the actuation point just feel it
@@JorgePerez-dj5dk The great thing about the R3 it has anti-stall(beginner) clutch. As you approach the friction zone, the revs automatically rise.
@@MMPAspergerian yea I’ve noticed that and sometimes I still manage to stall lmfaooo but it’s my first bike so I’m still learning
@@JorgePerez-dj5dk Stalling is a part of the game! I've done so millions of times ROFL! Those people behind me can honk all they want, it ain't gonna change nothing.
I cannot recommend enough that all new riders should watch (and re-watch) “Twist of the Wrist 2” to really hammer in all the nuances of riding especially how to deal with “survival reactions”. That knowledge saved my life a couple times.

Quick tip: leave it in first at the light in case you need to quickly move for an emergency (like someone about to ram you from behind)
Sometimes it’s nice to neutral at lights to stretch tho
@@cccycling5835 what stops you from stretching once you are in gear?
Bike won't move unless you apply throttle so you can do whatever you want with your body to stretch

I am 34 years old and never rode a motorcycle before, and with all of this COVID stuff going on, I figured it was time for a new outdoor hobby. @@nealaddams8235 I love it. I've never rode a street bike before and it's perfect for a first bike in my opinion. It's not too slow and not super fast. I'm 6'1" and I fit on it pretty well.

Bruh. Watching you follow that white truck for the first 5 minutes, make me anxious. 🤣 Stay out of the middle of the lane, especially at stops. If you get rear-ended, your gonna have a bad day. Off to either side, but never in the middle.

For new riders the wind hitting your chest and feeling you’re going to get knocked off is normal after a week you’ll barely notice it

I've been watching your videos since yesterday and I decided to go to my dealership today and got my blue 2021 r3. I really wanted the grom but honda is delayed with their products because of covid. My dealer has this exact bike and I took it straight away.

Perhaps there is something wrong with me but I recently got a motorcycle with no experience of any kind and I wasn't and am not afraid of the bike. I'm afraid of the other idiots on the road.

10000000% dude lol it’s literally the same thing, you’ll grow into your bike extremely fast if you’re a good stick shift driver, I’m talking like a day or two
A big advantage is if you know how to drive a stick shift/manual automobile. For the younger kids, that's gonna be unfortunate as not many cars today in the US come that way anymore. Another shame sign of the times....weak sauce. Back to motorcycling, the clutch and acceleration is identical as far as method.

I BOUT MY BIKE AND PAID IN FULL ON THE SPOT . THE GUY HAD TO DRIVE IT UP MY DRIVEWAY AND PUT IT IN MY GARAGE HOW EMBARRASSING. THEN I SAT ON IT FOR A,WEEK BEFORE I DROVE IT OUT MY GARRAGE .
