      You do know Trump was the cause of that don't you? He made the deadlines, removed the troops till it was at a minimum, released 5000 Taliban inmates and left it up to Biden to finish. It was this that caused the Afghan government to flee and left the Americans to fend for themselves to get out. It's why all that equipment was left, and why we couldn't get our allies out. Biden could have sent more troops in, but in the end, that would have put more Americans at risk. Biden had to access the risks and took the only reasonable way out with the least harm. Could it have been done better? Sure, but not under the conditions left by Trump.

    I'm a Mil Vet. Our extended family is filled with retired and non retired vets. He was Destined to exact revenge for 9-11. He spent years in karate, firearms trained, football, two years ROTC. His junior year he dropped football and ROTC. I didn't fight hard to even get him to go back into the ROTC at least. I haven't considered much of it all since because of the moral Cesspool, racist DEI, drag queen recruiters, "social engineering" playground, gays openly prancing around, ugly dudes in dresses, abortion travel agency, that our Military has become...

What appalled me is when I learned they joined the military because the government is required to pay for all of their surgeries. And learned that many of them were doing this. • @sunshynff
      @sunshynff 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wokeness is a fabricated concept, created in their outrage machine, as a desperate attempt to save a failing party. Can you even define wokeness??? I can, it's any attempts at equality, in any way, that conservatives are threatened by. The military has always been woke, they desegregated before the rest of the country, they've accepted trans and gay people before society in general was accepting of them, they just signed a contract to replace all their Humvee's with electric ones, and the new Abrahams tank will by a hybrid (Not that has anything to do with equality, just something the right considers woke).
      Of course they have some of the issues mentioned, like sexism/assault and poor living quarters, mostly due to conservative politicians who have no problem spending for arms and bombs, but stick in the backs of the actual enlisted men and women every chance they get. Trump stole half the budget $1.5Billion, set aside for housing on and off base, new commissary at like 7 different bases, 3 schools, and new barracks all around, for his stupid wall that never got built. BTW, recruitment numbers started dropping in 2018, the Army barely made their quota, so they dropped it appx 15k for 2019, barely met it again, so did the same for 2020 and again in 2021. In 2022 for some reason they raised it back up to the 2018 quota of 65k and missed it by a long shot, I have no idea why, but they did.
      Now at what age do kids start thinking about joining the military??? Then take that number, and subtract that many years from 2018, hmmmm I wonder what happened right around that time, something maybe that resulted in a POTUS lying to the country to get us in forever wars that just recently ended. Hmmm, that couldn't be the reason at all. I know dozens of combat vets that did several tours in the sand box, and not one of them wants their kid to sign up for that reason alone.
      Name one "woke" thing the military has done, and if you say promotions due to something else other that merit you can F right off, because that has been the case for promotions in the civilian and military world forever. Whether it be nepotism, money, class, kiss ass, or race, it's just a bunch of people mad now, cause their white skin isn't the advantage it used to be, talk about snow flakes, what unit were you in, what your MOS, jeez, grow a pair.
      The U.S. military is a progressive/socialist institution from top to bottom, you sure you really served?? WTF!!??

      I would serve, actually. I tried to enlist last year. I was 39 at the time, a college graduate, and I went to law school ( I didn't finish, I hated it). In my 20s, I was arrested a couple of times for felony drug sales. I turned my life around over 10 years ago. All of my felonies have been expunged. On the mini ASVAB I took at the recruiter's office, they said I would have gotten a 93 if it was the real thing. I was ready to go immediately. However, my felonies from over 10 years ago disqualified me (I couldn't pass the background check).
      If the military raised the enlistment age to 45 and allowed non-violent felons into the military, there would be no more problems with recruitment. There's many people who have felonies from years ago who have had that hanging around their neck for years and want a meaningful career and the benefits the military can provide.

    • @user-jy4vt4gn1l
      @user-jy4vt4gn1l 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      “Woke” means: aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice). Aka don’t be a bully. Aka if you act like a bully, we see you and we know why. Take the transgender bit for example.. the ones vehemently fighting for the “don’t say gay” bills are always the closet gays (angry closet gays). Take what just happened in Florida - the pioneers of the “don’t say gay” bill in Florida are now being investigated for rape which involved a threesome - no 3 genders right so you do the math, somebody’s gay in that trio! Moms for liberty - look up the latest news! Please, recognize the word “woke” as a trigger word that the politicians use to elicit an emotional (usually angry) response - this psychologically makes you a deer in headlights to the truth that’s all around you. Live and let live. Let it be, let it be. Let it go, let it go. No one cares who you’re going home with - literally stop caring about who everyone else is going home with. Sit down, be humble. This is America, be kind and mind your business!

    Woke = Critical Consciousness. Critical consciousness is the core of Social Justice teaching as it is understood within the Critical Theories. It is a heightened awareness of the world and the power structures that shape it. Being Woke means viewing society exclusively through the critical lenses which sees the world only in terms of unjust power dynamics (oppressed/oppressor) and the need to dismantle problematic systems as an activist. That is, it means having adopted Theory and the worldview it conceptualizes. Under “wokeness,” this awakened consciousness is set particularly with regard to issues of identity, like race, sex, gender, sexuality, and others.
    The term originated in Portuguese as conscientização (look it up) from the popular post-Marxist Brazilian activist and educator Paulo Freire, usually deemed the father of critical pedagogy (that is, the application of critical theories to the theory of education). It is an evolved Hegelian/Marxian religious cult that hides as human rights, politics, science, art and culture. There is an attack on Christianity in this country also. I looked up a few months back what percentage of family members of Parish, Church group and etc. In 1930's there was 70% church participation. In the 1970's this had dropped to like 32%. What did we lose because of this. Early moral guidance and respect of fellow man was lost. I remember as young kid I was taught right and wrong, respect for my parents, respect for fellow citizens, and respect for god and country. For most this has been lost. And as for the military, many no longer see the connection for military service and respect of country. They have not be indoctrinated in this loyalty, either by church or school. And what is worse, this administration is burying history that taught younger kids loyalty to the country. So there is no loyalty to fight for millions of our kids. To be honest, the world should ban militaries completely. We are of an age that we should ascend to a higher plateau of meaning for the people of the earth. We should not have to kill millions to get our way. We should the intelligence to structure the earth in a way that benefits all EQUALLY! We are still nothing but Neanderthals with fancy clothes and houses. But we are still Neanderthals. We still use spears, and rocks, but have converted them to missiles, and bombs. As usual they are concentrating on feelings not talent or patriotism.

    So, we are going to blame the junior guys/leaders for not understanding. We are more led now through texts/emails and everyone communicates in a highly manicured way, so as not to offend or upset someone. That in turn creates problematic issue to communicate in a sound sage way as we are just trying to figure out what leaders want.

    I now totally agree with the rules committee to defund the DEI , critical race theory, and social justice programs . Good job. My sexual preference and the color of my skin should in no way lower standards to meet my needs and wants. I would not want someone not qualified to teach me to be a good soldier. It’s not a paid social group. It’s the quickness, knowledge, efficiency, and ability to make prudent decisions that will not only save my life but protect those we are to protect. Most LGBT community is not on board with DEI, etc. we are about serving our country . And no one that had not served in lower ranks and promoted through those ranks. Taking on the responsibility that comes with it. None of these leaders show true knowledge and leadership of what happens in war. The division is purposeful and they should be discharged.

    Also a thought to consider.. after the military screws over good self inlisted personnel after years of service. On top of this, my recruiter completely lied to me just to get a signed recruit.
    I love my country an would reenlist again at age 52 but would never recommend my three sons to enlist because of the sneaky politics played on good young adults. God please help this country.. we need it.

    Unfortunately recruiting won't improve until they remove the corrupt chain of command, kick out the lazy individual and stop catering to these weak politicians. All these benefits that are offered usually aren't utilized because of corrupt chain of command, lack of training, doing unnecessary task and lack of discipline.

    I had to rage quit this hearing half way through and take a break before finishing it. When confronted with enlistment crisis, ideological insanity and the collapse of meritocracy in the military, the leftists on this panel and on this committee sit there in bewildered denial. What absolute theatre.
