Lloyd is a disgrace and should be put in jail due to dereliction of duty!
If we actually had any kind of real justice or accountability and followed through with consequences; we would have maybe 10-15 people left in the entire government. The prisons would be filled and our government and its agencies would be empty.

Since 1789 the United States has had 84 Secretaries of War/ Defense. 84 men. Sec Austin says he has implemented new written guidelines to ensure the chain of command is made aware of changes in the condition and status of the Secretary of Defense. 84 men, over 235 years had no problem understanding the importance of keeping your boss and staff informed of your status. They didn't need a written policy, they were adults, and understood their responsibilities to their boss, subordinates and the country. Only Austin, who over saw our defeat in Afghanistan, the retreat in Iraq, and the continued reduction of our battle readiness, and staffing issues needs direction.

The most important issue is communication. The transfer of power was made in a reasonable timeline. That is my opinion. The staff should have been informed a lot sooner. But the transfer of power was made.
