Awesome video Aquascaping Cube! I mixed these species up when I first started keeping fish. Never gonna make the mistake again! I agree with all the points, and the thing is they both look very similar in the fish store as the flying fox doesn't have it's proper coloration in my experience, so you gotta look closely! Great work man! Keep it up! 👍
My Siameses are quite lazy, they prefer fish food instead of algae, and they get big really fast. I personally prefer Naria snails over any other algae eaters.
Yes, it's true especially for the older SAE. The problem is that very few animals eat longer hair algae and young SAE will absolutely destroy them ;) My approach is to have combinations or SAE/Otos + snails.

One of the best fish I've added to my tanks.
They destroy staghorn and other hair algae.
Seriously an amazing addition to the clean up crew
Totally agree!
Great video and information! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
That's great information 💯 thanks for sharing

Great :) I’m glad you liked it :)
Pretty fish 😊
They are!
Hi AC any particular problems with the Flying Fox? I will like to get one with the Red Serpa Tetras and may possibly add corys at one point.

Also love the stuff
Thanks!
Unfortunately I’ve had one Siamese algae eaters that weren’t as peaceful but it was probably a bad apple ( yes it is a true SAE)
great information for us to all take in ;)
Hi Tracy! Thank you for watching and commenting :) Glad you enjoyed it!
But my flyingfox more better eat algae than my sae. But my sae help eat alagae and leftover food fish.
My SAE is an asshole, it bullies everyone. Based on the video it's not an Flying Fox so guess he has a bad attitude..
