    Orioles have the top position and pitcher prospects. Let's Go. They're gonna be wasted within 6 years but at least I have something to look forward to.

    • @brandondillman5841
      @brandondillman5841 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      0% chance they'll be able to afford to resign them anyways. They'll forever be a mediocre team with that payroll. How's the Rays do what they do every year still blows my mind.

    • @conman1495
      @conman1495 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@brandondillman5841 well up until 2018 when the rebuild started, the Orioles weren't afraid to have a larger payroll. In either 2016 or 17, it was over $140 million. Angelos wasn't afraid to spend money, he just spent it on the wrong players like outbidding himself to resign Chris Davis. So the money isn't an issue, especially if the MLB does enforce a salary floor as they have proposed. It's more about making sure the other positions can help around the two of them.
      So I can see them having well over $120 million in payroll within two years once Rutschman, Rodriguez, and a few other prospects are called up cause the entire team can't just be rookies and players with two years of experience or less. They will have to spend to be competitive.
      Gunnar Henderson, at #81, like Marc said, probably won't stick st SS due to his larger size and need to improve his defense so a love to 3B is likely. But I could see the Orioles signing a SS, probably not this offseason but maybe after next year.
      Of course, some O's fans have already started wishful thinking by hoping the O's sign Correa for some reason. Elias picked him in Houston and Correa is still well under 30 years old. I doubt it'll happen cause he is probably trying to get a $200 million plus contract but I can understand why some people want him.

    From the Kansas City Star "Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Daniel Lynch certainly has put that rocky start to his major-league career behind him. One prospect who I think is totally underrated is Mariners RHP Matt Brash. The dudes been absolutely tearing it up in the minors this year, posting a 2.27 ERA, 13.1 K/9, and .184 Opp BA between A+ and AA this year, and a 1.91 ERA in AA alone. In fact, he nearly threw a no hitter earlier today. Really the only "problem" is his walk rate is 3.3 BB/9 which is just slightly worse than average, but only by 0.2 so it's really not that big of a deal. Could be someone to look into for your snubbed list

He’s incredibly clutch, has a great eye, barrels up the ball every time he makes contact, and is a true game-changer. A special player he is. Terrible take on Joey Bart. Wasn’t he in your video of players that would have a huge impact if called up this year?
    He spent 2018 at low A, 2019 injured / some time at AA, then got rushed to the majors in 2020 and didn’t perform well. He’s not here because Posey / Casali are having great seasons and he needs experience in AAA. Guy has a .314BA and a .915 OPS in 200 ABs this year.

      But we got robbed of Roansy Contreras, I rather have Roansy there than Peggy because Roansy has had good years before but I think he took a level above Peggy

    I’m glad, Jack Leiter hasn’t pitched a professional game yet but he’s already shown to be probably the best for the Rangers right now. There isn’t huge names in our organization other than him but I think the Rangers future at least won’t be horrible

      There actually is huge names in the farm
      Guys like foscue josh Smith Jung Winn regans huff and many more rangers probably have the deepest farm in the league

      @Sten Rasmussen it’s not a stretch at all the guys from BA have already said rangers have a deep farm system and it’s very underrated

    I’m not mad with the Jasson Dominguez placement, kid is 18 Facing guys that are 2-3 years older than him, he’ll be good, and the tools are thee so we’ll see 🤷🏽‍♂️

      Yeah that’s the flaw with the “he’s underperforming” argument. Relative to the average 18-year-old in low-A ball, he’s a god among men 😹

    By their own scouting report I feel Jobe is a bit low.Not sure how they came up with his final grade.Best overall slider and say the change is ticks behind it.The FB has almost the same spin rate as the slider and also throws what can be a league average curve.Is a strike thrower with an athletic repeatable delivery,but rate his control at 50.That is why he isn’t higher,which seems to contradict the scouting.Oh well,if he starts out well,should fly up the list.
