    The O's system is just ridiculous. Their front office has really killed it in every round of the draft the last few years.

    • @flashman4929
      @flashman4929 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yep, and it’ll give ownership a reason not to spend any money in free agency. Too bad they have no pitching. Grayson should be a stud, but that’s yet to be determined with his up and down performances. Hopefully his last outing is more of a harbinger of what’s to come. They still need starting pitching, and they’ll have to sign some arms since they haven’t developed many. But yes, hats off to the o’s farm system as a whole, it’s undeniable.

    • @frankisfunny2007
      @frankisfunny2007 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the owner is going to kill that great vibe the front office has provided with the farm system! They won't pay the young players a bigger contract!

    The numbers for Orelvis this year are a little misleading. He hit like .090 in April, but since then has been a different hitter. He’s still very much power over hit, but his approach has improved significantly. He’s 100% earned his way back into the top 100 conversation this year

    the fact that PCA and Caissie are as high as they are and are STILL underranked as hell is amazing. PCA being outside the top 10 is baffling, especially now that he's hitting up over .300 in AAA and getting on base with some power to go along with it. and of course his 80 grade defense in center

      Seems like some bias in this list to prefer younger “rising fast” players instead of “who is the better player right now”. Like with the 17 year old being in the top 5. We can all agree he’s playing out of this world at 17, but if he was 21 he would be ranked in the bottom half of this list with those stats.

    I'll say for Orelivs that his eye has gotten better at the plate this year. Walk rate is up about 6%, K rate was down 8% in AA compared to last year, but his K rate has gone back up 8% in AAA. He's still only 21 and has a lot of power and he looked a lot better in AA this year than last year. I'm sure next year in AAA we will see a similar improvement to what we saw in AA this year.

    Did you say Luciano should be in the 60-70 range?!?!?!?!? LMAOOOOO
    He was a top 10 prospect 2 years ago and he hurt his back but then he came back and worked his way all the way to Triple A with a high avg, obp, power and ops, got called up this year to the majors and they sent him back down not because of performance but they wanted him to learn 2B so he can play there since Crawford is back healthy.
    So 27 is actually blasphemy in itself to go from top 10 to the 30’s and do all that work and still be 27?!

    As a Mariners fan, especially if we think that big dumper can consistently hit for great power, and play good defensively at catcher unless we think Harry Ford can move to a different position, which is very likely I would consider possibly trading him, especially if you can maybe use him to get your way out of the Robbie Ray contract because if we do that, I think we have a very real chance of getting Ohtani that extra money could be the difference also, I must say especially with how fantastic we are at developing pitching. I think that Castillo trade is going to look really bad a few years from now because he has looked kind of bad recently and I’m still extremely high on Edwin Arroyo and Marte hell even Williamson, another prospect we gave has looked really solid so far for the Reds

    - Back to back picks in 2020 out of high school
    - Good Speed and Defense
    - Hit over Power profile
    - Veen had his season cut short to injuries and struggled in AA
    - Hassell is recovering from a Hamate injury which generally takes a while to fully recover from but has struggled in AA

    Everyone talks about how loaded the Rangers farm is, but they only have 2 in the top 20 and then nothing until the bottom. Hopefully Carter is everhting everyone says he's gonna be

      yeah but they have guys with crazy talent just off the list, that could easily climb back in the top-50 with minor fixes in the off-season like Leiter Rocker and Gutierrez

      He started the season hitting around .360 and it’s just been going down since, so it’s more he has stopped hitting the cover off of the ball and came back down to earth a little.

    Marc. Veen is done for the year. He had wrist problems going back to after last year's Futures Game. That's why he's struggling. He got surgery on it earlier this year.
