Hey guys this is a 1990 Yamaha Banshee. This is the first quad I restored on this channel when I had ZERO subscribers. The first time around I had about $1700 into the restoration. There is a 4mil build breakdown video that I did after the build and lots of videos covering the entire process (cringe warning) Thank you to everyone that has supported since the beginning and welcome to all the new subscribers!
I didn't know you were one of those guys too bro Put in Chinese parts In your quad Hope them 4 years and all them subs Taught you something But it does sound good Considering
These full build videos are awesome man. They have been powering me through my 400EX restoration that I'm in the middle of. My wife and I watch them and they motivate us to get in the garage and work on our quads. Wish you the best on a speedy recovery bro.
Right I feel the same way about the predator 500 build it's making me want to do a big bore on mine and use the cams that he didn't use because I do more trail riding Videos are very informational very helpful and very inspirational

Dude that was an awesome build. I love how you address every part of the machine down to the nuts and bolts awesome attention to detail. Looking forward to phase 3.
@@MichaelSabo you're welcome. Watching you originally build this got me into banshees and now I have one I am almost finished and spent 20k on doing a full restoration and built motor. So thank you for getting me into the atv world

Bro , I built a 1986 250r and a 1987 banshee , by watching your banshee videos and the 250r engine rebuild with Dave Moore . You the man , and helped me a TON with your content , advice , etc
I love your builds. You do these things RIGHT!! I can't stand watching people work on stuff that is just filthy, then they put it back together filthy! Keep up the great videos!! Edit: Nobody builds like you do. Absolute joy to watch! Heal up dude!!!
Yeah, that drives me nuts too. How can a person stand to work with all that mud, dirt, and grease build-up dropping back into their engines and getting all over themselves?
I love working on quads and traditional v8s and v6s. But I've always wanted to restore quads/bikes for a side hobby. Very expensive... but it is very enjoyable. Michael Sabo is my favorite TH-camr of all time. Keep it up!!!
Man I wanna see you build a Yamaha warrior so bad! You do the best full build videos I’ve ever saw. I hope one day I get too see a warrior build from you.
Man, what an amazing video! I was glued to my phone the entire time. Recent subscriber, and I honestly can’t get enough of your content. Hope you have a speedy recovery from the surgery. Take care!
I bought a 2007 Honda trx250ex that the front of the frame (suspension arms, grab bars , and ect....) were rattle-canned gloss black. I simply took a high power pressure washer and got all the paint of, primered it, and painted it the origional grey color to match. I enjoyed seeing you restore your frame and your quad in general, thanks for the great content.
@@MichaelSabo you know watching your channel now is my favorite thing to do, all the new parts and explanations of them are just so awesome! I’m actually learning a lot from you! Your doing great for our banshee atv 2 stroke community 👍🏼
I got my first Banshee through some work and trading audio equipment installation. Right after getting I realized someone really rode the hell out of it and just didn’t take care of things the way I do. So I ended up redoing the entire thing it was Red white and black like yours , because of how far it had been bored I could bore it once more before sleeving it so with wiseco pistons I bored it all the way, it was so crazy fast as you know you can’t possibly get all the power to the ground it’s fun trying though .I raced it for about two years , my favorite was always getting extra parts gear or money for hole shots because a Banshee is going to take it every time . Sold it after a while but so much fun to own . I was like you I couldn’t leave it alone so I redid everything I possibly could to make it better safer and faster . Your Banshee looks great man
This video came in clutch as I'm working on a 421 banshee right now thank you brother for the awesome content this is my 3rd time watching it. Hope you shoulder is healing great 💪
My dad used to have a Banshee very similar to this one. It also was spray painted black with the paint peeling. His got stolen about 10 years ago. Great restoration job!
I just watched this entire video, I know nothing about quads or engines, was just pecking around on YT killing time and stumbled on it, I gotta say I loved it from start to finish, cool stuff!!! 👊
I have a 1999 Banshee. Some people say you are rebuilding 2-strokes when you are not riding them. I know they are exaggerating, but when they are running right, they are reliable and great fun. Beautiful quad.
Thanks for another long video. Please do more. I will watch every one. Maybe do a blaster, warrior, Wolverine 350, or 400 scrambler to as a sport utility on the channel. I would love to see you, John and Wes go mudding. I think it would be awesome to do a Quad warz with a 400 scrambler and a wolverine 350
I had a 97 Yamaha Worrior, i put an A- arm kit a durablue axle, Works shocks and more. I put the 366 big bore kit in it. I brought it to the track that would let us run on. The reason why i bought the warrior is because of the electric start and reverse, the Banshee would have been too powerful for my wife anyways lol.
Definitely remember these videos back in the day! I remember I took your idea for those headlights and cut the bases down to get them to fit like you did. They held up well! Just sold that banshee recently to finance the trx 250r build I just started! Best at. Channel on youtube by far! Keep it up man!

I'm more of a dirtbike guy, but seeing that 2 cylinder 2 stroke makes me want a banshee. Alot of us ride in my town, and a guy had one, but i had no idea how cool it was back then.
Nice quad my friend, I have a old 81 ATC 250r my Dad baught in 86 when I was born. I would expect everything that quad had to offer just being it's a 2 stoke and you just can't beat 2 stroke power or power band. I have been riding Bike's sense I was in diapers, have the pictures to prove it. My buddy had a Honda TRX 450r with an HRC kit put on it and that bike was scary just because it was so twitchy. I so prefer a Trike or Three Wheeler to a four wheeler, but I have been watching your video's for a couple of weeks now and you're making me take a harder look at the quads. Thanks for that by the way... You did a great job on that bike sounds sweet and I just love the smell of a 2 stroke. God Bless you my friend. Ride Hard, Be Safe, and most of all HAVE FUN!
Another amazing rebuild job dude, I hope that some protuguese fellows see this and learn something about banshee power motor. Have a nice recovery on your shoulder. Hope see you soon
Banshee is the best looking best sounding quad of all time hands down! That sound takes me back to my childhood. I am still riding my 1981 honda atc 250 my dad bought it brand new. # farfromstock lol

I have never done big bore as I ride rough trails in Northern Ontario Canada. First top end I used was am port job and 66.5 bored out stock jugs, so on their last cut. Last spring right cylinder blew from sucking sand in the carb because I got someone else to to jet carb and he forgot to put balance hose back on carbs. This time I had Bondi port another set of stock jugs I had, but only bored to 65.5 and I used his jetting recommendations. The difference is incredible.
Awesome work, definitely pay attention to detail. And Yea, the music definitely helps.
Very cool video. This is my favorite channel. I hope you're healing fast and get back to awesome builds. I really enjoy it.

Over here in Dubai, we still run those banshees and they're still one of the fastest quads around, I've always loved banshees ever since the 90s!
