  • Hey Campers!!
I have another scary story for you tonight!! This one is about a family who bought 10 acres of wild land and a cabin in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia. There they have several encounters over many months that made them decide to sell the cabin and the land and move out. Also I have a scary 911call from 1990 about something a man saw in his backyard one night!!
    Keep Hiking!!

Oh yes. When I was hiking near Cody WY I had all the hair stand up on my neck and arms. Felt watched like never before. Long story short, a mountain lion had been stalking us. I felt a dread I never felt before. I definitely believe our body knows when it is being watched. Our very survival depends on it!

Had that fear hit me only one time..two of my children lived in the forest a mile apart...I would visit then walk that mile to see both families. I always had a gun on on my hip for this walk , felt confident..no problem. Last trip through there I was almost halfway through when a great fear came over me ! I had a heavy sinking feeling that I couldn't shake. I almost instantly started to pray ..it did not help I started walking towards my son's house and only gradualy did the fear subside. I don't know what happened but I think the fear was a warning of intense danger. I trust God more than I can say but I believe He did not want me to do this again..and I never did. Thanks Chris...BB from somewhere in Louisiana

I felt that way out spearfishing in Hawaii … Visibility was maybe 75 feet water was calm and I kept feeling like I was being watched and had the feeling of dread what are depth overall about 20 feet at some of the cracks where you go down looking under them.. Could be as much is 20-30 feet deeper as I was coming up this huge shadow of a shark went over me I was still down in the crack and I held my breath for as long as I could and slowly came out but I knew it was still around but still couldn’t see it I went on for a short distance but never got cleared of that feeling and decide to go back to the boat which I’m glad I did right before getting into the boat it had to be a 12 foot tiger shark coming my way and I believe he was just out of sight The whole time

Great sentiment, but at the same time, bigfoot is one of the few clues general society has to lead them into the truth, and they do exist, they just are not what you have been lead to believe they are, and are biblical in nature and being. So, not some simple stupid story, it's actually a crumb that will lead to the un-doing of all reality of an unquestioning beast system victim. Just saying =)

I wonder if those two guys that sold their properties warned the buyers. I've heard stories about Sasquatch in which he tore people apart, limb from limb. One never knows how true those stories are. Anyway, your story was scary and it looked like you scared yourself, as you started looking behind you when it got dark. Great story telling.

When you think about it though, the squatch didn't really do that much. It disturbed Kevin twice, and it threw stuff at Bens cabin twice, and made Bens wife uncomfortable once, and it did so with long intervals between events. Honestly, it seemed to know what shotguns were, I'd have popped off some shots into the air to see if that scared it off....

When you have the feeling you're being watched you can't mistake it. It's not something faint or on the edge of your consciousness, at least not in my experience. It's happened maybe a few times and there's a reason a person would tell somebody about it. It basically is real and you can tell that much, you just may not be able to prove how you know it's real. In one instance (paranormal), I looked back through a glass pane on a door I had just left and I could tell that something invisible was on the other side and was watching me. Once again, I couldn't see it, but could tell it was there without doubt.

I am 85 now and if I went outside even for a few minutes someone was going with me even if it was just our dog 🐶! If I had to go alone my back would crawl with fear ! My daughter would say “Mom it’s just Gods little creatures and they are more afraid of you then you are of them “ True ! but let’s get back in the house “ I would say ! About 2 years ago I had a dream 😴 so real that even to this day I recall the dream as I dreamed it ! Funny thing too , I lost my fear of being alone in dark outside !! ❤️😇🙏🕊👵🏻🐶😺👩‍💻👍

So, I have "accidentally" stumbled across your channel in my newfound search for 'unsettling' camping and wilderness adventures, and so far I've only heard two of your stories, today alone, and it's clear that I need to subscribe! I really like your antics and the way you tell a story. You bring all the juicy details, engaging drama, and intensity, but with a lighter, less severe side, you know? It's like I'm sitting with a good-ol' friend who's got an awesome sense of humor as well as a good heart with a sense of adventure and an appreciation for the unknown and mysterious! It's apparent you're no stranger to all things outdoors, and while the two stories I've heard from you so far could definitely be considered unnerving, they don't seem to be a deterrent from your own outdoor adventuring and solitude.... that's awesome, IMHO! Your whole demeanor is very comforting and inviting, not to mention inspiring, as I am fairly new to the outdoors and all that entails, myself! I'm learning! Anyway, I really appreciate that, thank you for just.... bein' cool! Blessings and love to you and yours! Looking forward to more content! ❤️🤍

Holy crap! This story sent chills up my spine, Chris! I'm a van lifer and boondock on occasion. I hear things that go bump in the night but I write it off as some wild animal, a bear or whatever, outside my van. After this story...dude, I may quit boondocking. I keep a shotgun under my bed but how effective would it be against Bigfoot?! I experienced that sixth sense on a backpacking trip on the Mogollon Rim in Arizona...that feeling of being watched while doing #2 under a pine tree. It was eerie and the hair on the back of my neck felt "funny" like it was on fire. I slowly turned and saw a mountain lion only 50 yards or so crouching on a rock outcropping glaring at me. I immediately yelled, stood up with my hands in the air and shouted for my buddies to help. As they ran down the path towards me the big cat turned and ran down the back side of the rocks.

In the late 1970's my wife and I and another couple stayed the weekend at the Trinity Alps Resort near Weaverville in Northern, California. This area has long had Big Foot activity. It was off season in early Nov. and there were just a coupe of cabins open. During the night we were in our cabin talking and we heard noises outside, then the center wooden panel of the back door started being pushing in and flexing out. We did not go outside to see what it was as we were the only guest there. We didn't see any footprints in the mostly rocky ground the next morning. So, we don't know what it was. We had the lights on and were talking so I don't think it was a bear...but I don't know. We now live in Arizona having moved here from the Sierra Nevada mountains of Amador County, Calif. (Gold Country). I was raised in Louisiana where we have lots of strange happenings in the woods and swamps of the area and we were not far from Boggy Creek in Fouke, Arkansas which has it's own famous creature. I enjoyed your story.

This is an interesting format. It is sorta like an episode of Mr Ballen, telling a story about the strange, dark and mysterious, but in a different backdrop and context. A better one perhaps, as the woods backdrop enhances the creepiness of the story along with the other inserted visuals and musical stingers, like telling ghost stories around a campfire adds a ton of atmosphere to whatever story is being told.
I'm definitely gonna check out more of these, as I think you're really onto something good here, Chris.

I live in the Appalachian mountains. I am 71 years old and grew up here in the mountains except for a 26 year absence while serving in the Army. I have spent lots and lots of time in these woods and never encountered anything until about 10 - 12 years ago while deer bow hunting. I was about 3 miles from my home and had hunted in this area a few times previously. On this day I had hid just off a game trail which ran along the edge of this meadow. The meadow was in a valley surrounded by high ridge lines which was heavily wooded. I had sat there since late morning and now the sun was starting to drop behind the mountain. I sat for hours and never did see or hear any animal movement. I packed up and walked about 15 yards to the game path which I would follow about1 mile to my truck. As soon as I got on the path I heard leaves rustling up on a ridge and just thought I had scared a deer or some other animal and didn’t think much about it. Then I heard this god awful sound that I had never heard before and it sounded so much like the sound in this video. I tell people the sound was like a wolf howl and lion’s roar combined. I could feel the sound resonating in my chest and it scared me and I made my way to my truck while checking behind me along the way. Even to this day I will not return to that location. I am now a believer that there is something in those woods that is not your normal critter.

Great job telling your story. The sabe are unpredictable, those people make the right decision to move before they came up missing.

I lived there for 20 years. hunted, hiked, and camped those rugged isolated Wv mountains (alone) and never heard or saw anything, except for a few bears and cougars. 1 bobcat. however, I have friends there that I respect and they have seen and heard many strange scary things.

Sad you haven't experienced that 6th sense feeling of being watched! You were born with this ability & society has destroyed it for you! I call them " vibes". I absolutely feel that, even if it's a fellow human doing the starring.

@Tonya Harmon You too! Yes, the women in my life have always hated it because I feel their moods, good & bad. Something bugging them, or on their minds, I'd know. Not the details. Just the Vibes.

      Cheers! 🍻

100% agree, our sixth sense something we humans have, and yes society has drummed it out if us. But it's still there, we just need to listen for it.

I was thinking the same thing. How would someone , never have had that feeling. That would mean the person, does not have any gut instincts.. Not good

I love the way you kept looking off to your right as you were getting to the end of the story. You know people laugh a lot when they start to get scared. Get yourself a UV light & if you live Rural like i do, a few around the outside on each corner they don't come near .It hurts there eyes .They still have that eye shine in the day time if they are in the shadows. Red eye shine means anger ,but you believe what you want .I just know what lights work best for my property .Nicely told story by the way !.
