Yeah, I can confirm it’s good fun. But one tends to drive rarely more than 50 miles in one stroke …as it can get a bit exhausting over time. But nevertheless…a rewarding drive 👍🏼
Excellent..sounds just right. I currently own a 1965 RT4 backdraft shelby cobra with a 427 as well and sounds almost identical. Raw power that will distroy anything on the road. Super video and fabulous gear up and down shifting. Also a great road picked to put the cobra through the paces..😎👍👌🍻
My 98 convertible mustang, got loud like this with the right exhaust and muffler setup. Getting flashbacks! Love the sound of this car too! Will be watching for long time. Fuck the chit chat just pure sound!
At 0:17 , that bouncing speedo needle is a sign of a kinked speedo cable, the installed radius being "too sharp"....the inner cable is rubbing on the inside sheath & this "bouncing" will get worse & worse over time. This requires the cable being replaced with a longer version, the cable being rerouted so as to not make sharp bends, but rather large gentle sweeping bends.
" awesome sound " also i owned 302 cu inch cobra replica " muffler selected was between quite and loud " just right throaty sounds " put 100 octane fuel in " sounded " like a supercar !" ( on motorway kept at 2000rpm powerband sounded best " with thumbs up" from other cars !
It's a mechanical speedometer. Uses a cable and gear at each end. The backlash or any play in the tailshaft bushings in the transmission will cause the needle to bounce. It's a pretty normal thing to see with mechanical speedometers.
@@dannyhughes8187Dude, he's talking about the tach to the right of drivers right hand, its the speedo, mechanical gear driven. Tach is center of the steering wheel 😮😮😮
I would love to own a cobra but at 77 years of age I maybe am too old and what would the insurance costs if I could ever find an insurance company that would cover me
Sounds good but watching the speedo it sure didn't seem to give a lot of speed for all that RPM. That second one looked like 10-60 in what, eight seconds? Just sayin...
You don't see a lot of these cars doing track days. Incredibly difficult to drive quickly in the bends. Squirting down back roads in straight lines is probably the best bet?
If that's a genuine Cobra, it'll stick to the pavement like velcro. Really no need to let off the throttle so much in those mild curves in the video. The public is just used to the squishy comfy suspension on the regular production vehicles we drive. A real race ready vehicle would be objectionable to most drivers because of the harsh suspension. Not made for passenger comfort, but to make the vehicle stick to the road
Nice to cruise with you. I have a 427 cobra not far off being back on the road. Cant wait to do what your doing.
PLEASE DO MORE RIDE ALONGS WITH THE COBRA I REALLY ENJOY IT!!!
Thank for the ride. I've never been in a Cobra before. Badass car!

The amount people are concerned about a speedometer cable is mind boggling. Car looks fun.
As long it rumbles up and loud, who needs anything, including radio. Just love that 427 sound and through the side pipes.
What a beautiful sound .

Pure raw performance! One of the greatest cars in the history of motoring.
Thanks for the ride, definitely enjoyed it..
its good to here the 427fe once in a wile to keep once mind right,,
Sensory overload, it makes you feel alive and at one with the car.
I love watching the speedo needle bouncing up and down.
Officer "Do you know how fast you were going?"
Me "Sure, between 60 and 120"
🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful, beautiful car my man!😊

Ah that lovely torque! Many thanks!
Dr. Freud would have this guy in tears within 5 minutes.
Wonderful car and sound! What's the engine build, trans and rear-end gearing? Thanks!
Is it a 427 FE? Or a bored and stroked Windsor? Either way it's freaking cool as hell!
Great drive out an very good gear changing! That's a proper loud pedal, this could be used for councilling for electric car owners?
Best to all.
Where are those roads?

I hope mine sounds that good when I get it done just a 351 Windsor in it
This is what dreams are made of
Very nice, are those SF pipes?
Is there a reason the needle on the speedo bounces around so much? It seems very sensitive

@@raidersrideordie no shit,. It's liquid filed. Take another look. Smartass.
Used to deal with this a lot on older cars. Lubing or replacing the speedo cable would usually fix it.
What tuning are you using on the cobra?? please let me drive it!! i want to make my ex jealous!
Great video - fabulous car! But is it too much to expect for a car that cost this much to have a speedometer that works?
Love ❤️ the Cobra 🐍 but it has to have a real 427 Ford side-oiler.
i could not be any greener with envy
DANGEROUS VEMONUS COBRA! SHE SOUNDS GOOD WHAT MOTOR ARE YOU RUNING?
427 roush
Is that a real/original Cobra or a kit? Either way it sounds phenomenal!
It's neither, Superformance are factory built recreations, made to the highest standards and are very expensive.

In my personal case, they registered my Cobra as a 5k 1997 Mustang with 25k (the cost of the kit) in modifications.
going off that road is a death sentence

I’ve never seen a speedometer bounce like that before. How the heck are you suppose to know how fast you’re going ? 😂
Needs a new cable…
You can pull the cable out of its cover and lube it. But yeah, that is looking bad.@@stevoschannel4127

Great ride but time for a new speedometer…the current one is bouncing all over the place!
ford 5.0 coyote would probably be great in this car

What’s with the speedo bouncing all over the place?
Speedometer cable either needs some lube or needs to be replaced. That said, a speedo is pretty useless, should just drive by the tach.

BOUNCY SPEEDO
Que se dedique a conducir en círculo o acelerar en línea recta que no sabe otra cosa 😅😅😅😅😅
Sound is total distortion. Trash that speedo. It bounces too much.
Oh please Santa may I have one for Christmas. I've been a very good boy! Pretty please Santa. 🙏
