The lyrics to this song are incredible. Dark, painful and personal but they're also relatable if you've ever been angry at a loved one for the choices they made which ultimately resulted in their own demise. It brings me solace to know that someone else has articulated it. It seems like it's a taboo to acknowledge any resentment or bitterness toward a loved one when they pass in a way which is arguably their own fault. It brings me solace to know that there is a song in the world that expresses everything I have felt. Thank you so much for this Myles. You'll never know how much this album means to me personally.

I never used to listen to Alter Bridge. Never have been a fan of them. But, I somehow stumbled upon 'Year of the Tiger' on TH-cam a few days ago. Wow!!! What a song! What a voice! Such great lyrics! I instantly fell in love. I subscribed without a delay. Just got the notification a few minutes ago. And, again. Myles Kennedy hits me with everything. Such passion is truly hard to find. His screams resonates with the heart everytime. I don't care if he falls under metal or not. Even though I hardly listen to anything other than extreme metal. I must say, this guy knows how to shake your heart. Time to add this to my favourites playlist. Long live, Myles Kennedy.
You really need to branch out and listen to Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Slash with Myles & the conspirators & The Mayfield Four. Don't buy without trying first. Search & listen on you tube if you live that voice you will love everything it can do. Btw Mayfield 4 is hard to come by its out there but very overpriced.

Powerful and epic. This one is so cinematic, I feel like it belongs in the climax of a sweeping western. Myles's voice is just superb. The high notes gave me chills but his low notes are giving me the same chills too. I don't know if he's been working on his lower register but there's this richness and resonance that has been creeping in to his lows and it sounds fantastic.
Only video I can imagine to this song is James Bond credits 15 minutes into a bond movie. Basically what I'm saying is Myles for the next bond theme!!!

Never heard of Myles until i just listened to The Sound of Silence with him and DISTURBED lead singer-who I also never heard of until The Sound of Silence remake !! INCREDIBLE!! BUT, Myles has an amazing voice also and his music is pretty darn good. I don't listen to heavy metal but I'd listen to Myles!!! I'm into VOICE quality and not screaming and eardrum shattering NOISE. THIS song and music is GOOD!!!

I wasn't as young as MK when my dad went into the great beyond, just as untimely as Myles's dad did...MK was around 45 when he wrote this album?...I can atest that these feelings never leave you. This whole album is one of my most precious things. I make like a whole ceremony when i want to play this album...and i have to be alone for ours so i can savor the tears in peace. To me, this album enbodies the meaning of catharsis
