Even if he didn't red light he would of beat Dave. And Larry's truck has proved to be a real street vehicle not just a trailer queen.
Tim Peters yup daves proline engine cannot even go a few miles without overheating and blowing up!
i like larsons nova better than the truck, he should put the truck motor in the nova.
Monza's Camaro has got to be one of the most beautiful race cars on the planet.
I agree!
All that show money put to good use
Larry Larson was on FIRE....BUT, gotta watch that light!!!
Yes but larson was walking away from dave, dave wasn't going to keep up with him.
Somebody give Vixen a 60ft. When Vixen gets a 60ft in dat Mopar, "Game Over"💰💰💰💰💰
Thank Tom great footage
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Daddy Dave was born the State of confusion!
I live in the same state and you are so right I am very confused......... confused as to why the hell everybody keeps moving here LOL
Man that big single turbo takes some time to spool up
Yes, it is crazy how large they are. Birdman said his was 155mm or 157mm something like that. Crazy big. I have a 70mm turbo on my Camaro and that looks big to me. ha ha.
Isn't Larry Larson the only that went to a massive single turbo instead of a twin set up???
Larry was the first this season and then Birdman and The Mistress followed and went single turbo to get a 200 lb weight reduction according to the new rules for NPK in season 2. Larry is the only one that has really figured out the single massive turbo thing so far.
amm yeah
The new 3 speed transmission is working pretty well for Dave
Russell Vinson It's only broken on the show lol
Great video! Thanks
Nice video. You do a great job. Look forward to seeing them
Thank you! And thank you for watching!!! TomEighty
I'd like to see a best (3 outta 5) with these 2 guys !!!
Does anyone know the best time recorded in 1/8 mile., (Steel cars.notnpro mods?)
Mark Micke ran a 3.62 at Sweet Sixteen RvW and the Malibu is not a ProMod.
Larson has been 5s in his truck in the old TT setup in the quarter.
The master of faster and his single turbo small block camaro have dipped in the 3's
This is what this type of cars need to be on the track not on some Damn street because on the track u can put all the power down that's no way u can do that on the street.
Charles Davis the show is staged just incase you never noticed!
hi tom another amazing video, it sounds like they take their foot off the gas before the 1/4 point? or is that just the way it sounds
They only run to 1/8. Just like on the street.
Yep, it is just an 1/8th mile race. There is a lot of reasons and debates on this, but one main reason is that they got so fast that they are doing upwards to 175mph in just the 1/8th mile on a track that has no grip to it. Check out the next video I put out today and you will get an idea of what I mean. Thanks for watching!
What is the piece daddy Dave has added to his front bumper? Many racers are adding it lately
I don't know the name of it but it triggers the staging light early and trips the finish line early too. A lot of cars with a shorter front end will have this to make it an extension to compare to a car with a longer front end. But I'm not really sure what the advantage is unless it just helps them not red light as much.
Staging lights read the front tires and the finish line reads the bumper. It gives the cars with a short front clip a fair chance, however very minimal.
It's for when you're racing pro mods, extended wheel Base, going back to streetcar's for Cash day's, no pro mods,if it hasn't a vin ,magnet don't stick pro mods,I've a promod picture of Monza's car v promod version, this was crowmod in every way, except back lights, and the bumper, nothing wrong, trying to explain for weeks, now down to pictures😂😂😂
@@tomeighty breaks beam at top end, nothing to do wit staging, evert race I see is by front wheels , or no?? Every car must have, if going against extended wheel base...
Just to make it equal. Some cars front ends are shorter than others they are racing. So they add that on there. It has nothing to do with the starting lights. Its for the finish line.
Dave is a boss, always on point!
Muito bom vídeo 👍
What's the cubic inch on those awesome 481x's., And I wonder what's the price in them
I just looked it up and it is offered in two sizes, 540ci or 572ci and the price starts at $67,000
@@tomeighty thanks for responding. Good info
Thank you for the footage..NY

Damn..I love yo videos dude
Thank you!
Claude Garcia
Great video brother
Thank you!
How come they don't do the 1/4 mile anymore?
No Prep events are almost always 1/8th mile races. The cars actually get up to 175 mph in the 1/8th mile, craziness...
They really act like they help da car spann out lmao
Awsome vid from a Daddy Dav fan ;()
Thank you!
That's some turbo on the truck....at night staging I'd say looks brilliant fire from the tip if engine....
Yes that turbo is crazy big! And I would love to get a pic of it at night time shooting a massive flame up out of the hood.
Daddy Dave is definitely from NY. He said it when they reached Pete small block the first time.
Yep, I believe he is from NY. But he was not born there.
As I said again seem like the pro charged and turbos have issues just like the nitrous cars
Nope, procharged motors get beat up from all the vibration coming from the drive belt or gear drive whereas turbos DON'T have this issue. Nitrous always been hard on parts
@@richardharris492 have seen a couple of twin turbo motors blow up and rip to sreds like murder Nova did against new oleans and chief tore his motor up when it was in the crowmod,i see they just easyer to keep up then nitrous motors cause seems like you're never no when they decide to backfire or something
No such thing as a reliable 2000hp engine there just built to extreme to have any longevity. But yes some are better then others like having a big block helps and mountain motors can take it far better then some of the smaller ones but they are still being pushed near there limit.
@@tammyforbes2101 like the mountain motors can take way bigger shots of nitrous then 632's and smaller like the biggest motor is a 1.000 cubic inches from Sonny's racing that's built for 6 kits and on just motor is making 2400 HP just on motor for the price of about 125,000
great vid!!
Thank you!
Mark Kavanagh you ki
Daddy Dave was born in the state of infancy...
Nice video Tom.
Thank you!
I like to see my favorite driver race any time thas Daddy Dave the best for me
Thank you for watching Antonio! I have more Daddy Dave videos here if you want to watch them. th-cam.com/play/PLr59cb__lzOl7nzSDMO7ocxOJUJxqZgVc.html

👍👍valeu pelas boas postagens. 🤜🤜👏👏
Daddy dave FTW!
I'd rather watch your videos then the show lol keep up the good work
Thank you! I appreciate it. TomEighty
lol, you sure hate to see Larry win! 405 groupies are hilarious.
On those "beam trippers", I am confused. If it stages on the tripper, and finish beams on the tripper, then it makes no difference. If it was movable (up on stage and down on finish) then it would matter.
How are they any advantage?
It's not an advantage. It's a equalizer. They stage with the tire at the track so a car with a longer nose would have an advantage over one with a short nose at the finish
Adam Hurst I didn't realize they staged with the tires. So the tires start the beam and the nose trips it at the end?
Daddy Dave is from new York.Another great video.👍
I guess he is from New York but was born somewhere else. Thanks for the guess.
Joe Geis when did Shawnee, Oklahoma become part of NY?
@@biohazard_613 your wrong too. He was born in Colorado.
Joe Geis that may or may not be true. When I knew him several years ago when I lived in Vinita, Ok, he was telling people that he was born in Shawnee. Whether he was saying that to make it seem like he was a local or whatever, I don’t know. I wasn’t there when he was born to confirm or deny it but that’s what I heard from his mouth.
@@biohazard_613 😂🤣🤗🤭..🤔👍
Cant wait till Norwalk
Daddy Dave is from Colorado
Bingo! You nailed it, nice job! TomEighty
Osvaldo Carmenatty thank God not another New Yorker....accent makes me want to puke everyone so hear it....annoying as a crying baby
Maybe that’s why I don’t like him
Its Too bad Farmtruck didn't have his truck there, i would have liked to see it run.
Mississippi ?
Go through the comments, a few people have got it right already. Thanks for the guess though J man.
See Dave's lights while laying down rubber, against lardon, his battery, or wire must a came lose....I don't think he lost until he broke against chuck 55
I know, the headlights were crazy looking. I'm assuming they have a plug in for the headlights when they put the front clip back on and it must have been halfway in.
No, those are LED lights, the flickering is invisible to the naked eye, but you can see it when you view them through a camera!
@@Rob_Moilanen me thinks crew member forget to charge battery?? Because the second run against the big blower,or maybe he seen Larson red light? I think the first...
Nah, trust me man, it's the camera catching that flickering from the LED's, most digital cameras will see that on any car that has LED lights on it. Hell, it doesn't even need to be a car, any LED light will do it. It has something to do with how fast the digital camera's processes the images, it gets in "phase" with the flickering and makes it visible.
We all know what these cars run. About time they put the ET up.
I agree. Its stupid to not have times.
Hell Ya! Thank You!
Thanks for watching!
Everyone seems to be racing with a 481x
I would love to have one and put it in a sleeper car. ha ha.
Proline has the monopoly on no preps now, its going either chrysler hemi or 481x
How did larry get in the finals when he lost at least three times
If you lose in the main event you can buy into what is called the "Big Tire Race", and they have grudge races. The Big Tire is like a $10K or $15K payout instead of the $40K, and it is a filler why the main event cars are cooling down. Thanks for watching and having an eagle eye like that. ha ha. TomEighty
Co. Rufliy one hours from the tram
Bingo... you nailed it. Nice job!
Colorado
Bingo... Nice job!
Larry larson must have had a bad day , for the fastest street car on the planet he should win all those races
He is coming around. This is a totally new setup with the single large turbo so all the runs he is doing right now is "testing". He will get it figured out and be on top once again.
Larry Larson works more than he races. That’s his issue. Truck looked reliable....
That and the air up there isn't kind to turbo motors especially single turbo motors
I'm glad he beat Larry (i'll stretch the rules as far as I can) Larson, personally.
HE DID NOT BEAT SHIT...LARSON RED LIGHTED!
What rules are be broken?
Larry was walking away from dave any way dave wasn't going to stay with him
In New York
He is from New York but was born somewhere else. Thanks for the guess.
Larry got scared of Dave even though he has his pro mod S10 against Dave's real back half car that's funny
Who's yo daddy?
Didnt look that close.
He was born in East L.A
I think it's New York
Daddy Dave is from Oklahoma
He lives currently in Oklahoma but was born somewhere else.
He was born in New York
tomeighty when I lived in Vinita, Oklahoma and used to go to all the races, both to watch and to race, he told everyone that he was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
