These guys play good team basketball together. Better than just signing a bunch of superstars to max contracts and then they all just hog the ball to stat chase and cause drama on the bench. The bulls are sick, I dig these guys a lot. I’m not from Chicago but the bulls highlights are the only ones I follow this year honestly haha

it also helps that both lonzo and caruso are really hard to beat 1v1, this season i have yet to see somebody blowing by Zo on their own without the help of a screen and even then Zo is able to contest the shot most of the time

@@riroballs ye but even in New Orleans he was a good defender but it didnt look like he bothered fighting through them becasue he kind of knew that the opponents would still score because most of the other pels players were scrubs defensively and it really didnt help his energy levels that he was always one the opposing teams biggest threat and even then he always had to get screened just so that they can pass him, tho i dont know if that was what van gundy told them to do or if lonzo just didnt want to fight through the screens. heck he even gave zach, doncic, dame and others a really hard time when he was guarding them but they´d get hot just as soon as lonzo was either on the bench or had other players guarding them

I am so used to the Bulls have 7 or 8 good players, and then a serious drop off.
The Bulls would have 3 or 4 players that should not even be in the NBA.
Like Arcidiacano, or Christiano Felicio, for example.
    NOW... very different story.
It seems every single player would play for other teams, if not here.
Caruso, and Coby would start for many teams.
A key advantage the Bulls have, IMO, is that the Bulls don't give
    opponents any chance to rest.
Our subs often out-perform our starters.
    So, there is always pressure.
If you notice the games, you will see that.
Game being tight, and then they relax,
Bulls score quick ten points, and that's it.
    They can't catch up.

AK and the Bulls don't get much credit for the depth of the team.
Sure, ZL, Vooch, DD, and Ball are the top guys.
BUT...the Bulls would have lost games without
Ayo, Green, Alize, and Caruso contributing.
When ten guys play in a game's rotation,
there are quality players left sitting.
    Like DJJ and Tony Bradley.
When Coby comes back, who sits?
    AK has stacked this team.
Donovan's biggest problem, IMO, is who does he play,
    and who does he bench??
I don't think that is an easy answer.

I think when Coby returns he'll fit right in. No one will have to sit but minutes could get shaved down some for certain players. Which could be a good thing. I know Caruso would be fine with it as he averaged 18min a game and never complained on the Lakers. With the Bulls he's been getting 25+ mins a game. But he and Coby can also share the floor. The team is definitely rich in talented guards. As long as they all play to win and support each other I think the rotation mins should work out.

    • @craigkdillon
      @craigkdillon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jdh9676 Only 5 players on the court at a time. Only 48 minutes to a game.
If someone plays - someone else is sitting.
That is the reality of the game.
Oddly, our guards are so good, that it will likely be a forward that sits.
Already, we see Lonzo, Caruso, and Zach playing together, Right?? They are 3 guards.
How about a lineup of Lonzo, Zach, Caruso, Coby, and DD playing Center???
DD is a basketball God, and can do anything.

This is the win now with Lebron thinking but Caruso is showing what he truly can do. Nice mix of young and experienced guys on the Bulls. DD can still drop 30+ points on any given night and Zack's in his prime. They are playing great D and so they are easily in the mix for the payoffs.

They scare the NBA because they have the NBAs best defensive duo in Lanzo and Caruso, and they have the best Offensive duo in Derozen and Lavine. Bulls are the only team that has TWO players in the top 5 scoring(PPG) Derozen at #4 and Lavine at #5, at one point they were #3 and #4. Then you got Caruso #1 in the league in steals, and Caruso and Lanzo absolutely shut down every all-star, who ever one has trouble guarding, the other can take over. Its hilarious watching All-stars get so pissed and frustrated when Lazno and Caruso D them up.

    Great video...
The Chicago Bulls are the team that LA WANTS to be. They are the perfect fitted team at all positions. In my opinion they gell together better than the Lakers because they were so geniusly picked to. Look at how Chicago added to Zach Lavines talent PERFECTLY, to make sure he has HELP and not just some superstar to learn to work with.
Players that were put together "under the radar" from the media as these players arent super hyped names right now.
Demar Derozen has been looked at as "not enough" by the media, and Caruso a bench peice. Ball has been deemded the same way.
Watch the media NOW jump on the badwoagon lol

We'll see if they can keep up with their record against good teams. I see their sched the next 9 games would be against Sixers, Nets, Warriors,, Portland Clippers, Lakers, Denver, Knicks. Bulls are limiting oponents to 99.5 points per 100 possessions (thanks to two games against the detroit pistons ;) ) Also, I think they played 1 team that is above average in regards to offense... so pulling that out as proof of great defense.... meeeh
Using the number of deflections per game... honoustly, it's the first time i've seen someone use that stat... i didn't know it existed.... What I do know, is that only Caruso is currently, this season, above the average of the NBA as a defender. The rest is below...
I'm not saying they are a fluke...i'm not saying they are the real deal... too soon to tell imo. What I do know, is pretending they are a super good defensive team is bullsh... They had a good game against the Jazz... They were lucky Brown and Tatum chocked their entire team out and played pistons twice... I don't think they'll be at the top of the standings tbh at the end of the season. Playoffs, yes, but i don't see them winning a playoff series against Bucks, Nets, Heat, Hawks and honoustly maybe not even knicks or celtics... but all that, is too early to tell.
What I find disturbing, for a team with all this offensive prowers, they have had some really low scoring games... like half of them already... Curious too see more about this team though....

    • @sansrival7102
      @sansrival7102 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Its not even a fraction of the whole season but this team has "almost" gelled knowing only lavine and vooch was the only players who are comfortable playing each other (dont include Pat will and coby since they were not playing much at this point) the rest were almost newly acquired during off season. There are sloppy games and their loss from knicks was almost a win for them if vooch didn't miss those 3 free throws.
