Cultures of Care NID International Open Elective 2024

This video was created in the spirit of the open elective bringing people together, a part of a two week elective course at NID Ahmedabad and to celebrate the making of the Elective's logo. Inspired by the rising sun and the infinity symbol, the design radiates warmth through the use of yellow and compassion through fuchsia. The infinity shape represents the unbroken circle of care, a constant reminder that, regardless of past or future, care endures and transcends time.
"In the spirit of celebrating 'Cultures of Care,' a universal language passed down through generations, this year's International Open Elective honors these silent yet selfless acts. Our intent is to collectively contribute to a world where care is thoughtfully designed, practiced, and experienced in diverse ways, fostering a more harmonious and sustainable existence for all. As a design community, we invite everyone to join us in making ‘care’ central to our way of thinking, guiding our actions, and shaping a culture that prioritizes people, the planet, and well-being at all levels of society. Let’s come together to reflect, connect, and shape a future where care is not only acknowledged but actively nurtured through creative collaboration."
