Thanks Richard Nice bit of flying..I can’t wait to have a flight without a mishap..lol..I like the look of the panther..but I must get my head around the Gyroo before committing to something else.
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I am thinking of making a video of 'how to fly' a model autogyro. Take off basics, circuits, throws, in the air CG testing etc etc. I am sure it would help others who fancy having a crack at an auto
Lovely looking models! Power off landing was brilliant. I have just completed one of your designs the “Gyroo” my first auto gyro. I didn’t the maiden at the weekend crashed and snapped the boom. It went up like a rocket. I think I was to heavy on the throttle as I’m used to fix wing planes. Any pointers would be appreciated. Can’t wait to get the hang of it. Paul
Paul, thankyou. If you watch how I take off I always start my model down wind of where I am standing so that it lifts off close to me. The moment the models are off the ground you will hear me back off the throttle and just cruise away. If I kept the throttle open they would just climb like yours did, its practice.
@@safelandings Thank Richard, that makes total sense. I will try that on the next time. I must admit it did seem like every auto gyro video I watched as soon as they get in the air the throttle was reduced. It’s all fixed already, slotted in a new boom and an new prop as it broke as well. Think I may need to check the head settings as I don’t think there 100% correct. Need to spend some time with the angle meter. I have about 15 degrees hang angle balance wise. Does that sound about right?
The old panther still flys like she’s on rails! I love it mate!
Cheers Bill!
What a pair of beauties! Just love the unmistakable sound of those rotors twirling away.
Thankyou
Brilliant really enjoyed that 👍

Cheers James, look forward to hearing how your progression goes with your Gyroo.
That was great Richard, what I found particularly interesting was your description of what control inputs you were using during the flights 👍
Thanks Cliff, it's a sign of madness talking to yourself....hope the explanations help
@@safelandings It's good to have an insight into your brain 😁👍

Paul, The Gyroo has a measurement shown on the plan from the mast to the CG. If it is within these parameters it will be balanced correctly.
