@@Angels510bh I don't understand blaming the landlords for this situation. Its not like they're deliberately jacking up prices for homes to make millions and increase homelessness. Ironically most landlords were "mom and pops" who just lived in an easier time and were smart enough to buy a house, which most likely cost their life savings. Aging couples who have no jobs are often left with no choices to make ends meet, my landlord and me literally share the netflix account lmao. Blame the banks and the elite for making the situation as it is.

A growing number of landlords are just corporations, who rent out terrible homes for high prices, relative to the current market, because they know people don't have the option to choose somewhere else. Location is the driving factor, and when all the good locations are owned by a few corporations, you see the worst from landlords. Also, I understand this isn't the situation everywhere, nor are all landlords bad. But in my area, something like 98%+ of landlords never return the security deposit when the tenant is owed it from their own terms. Out of 100 listings, maybe 2 or 3 will be a private "mom and pop" landlord, while the rest are faceless corporate landlords. You can imagine how they treat the average tenant

They don't add any real value to the houses, and the rent they ask will always be more than the actual money and effort they put in, because they are trying to make a profit. This means that they are definitely increasing the cost of housing.
They are also buying up houses which makes them more scarce, and makes all other houses more expensive. Of course the demand for houses will never go down because it's a choice between buying a way too expensive house, and being homeless, so the houses will keep selling for the more expensive price

I know this was all a joke, but it's still crazy that capitalists think charity is what socialism and communism is. Charity is a capitalist construct.
Thats not the point this isnt what capitolist think lmao. Charity is rooted in disparity and trying to level it through distribution of wealth but out of free will instead of government intervention.
So it goes to reason that a communist who believes in distribution of wealth would generally want to lead by example and be charitable as under communism hoarding wealth is seen as the cause of disparity and is seen as immoral and wrong
so you figure a communist in a capitalist society would lead be example and live modestly and and redistribute wealth (not that he cant have any nice things but a 4 bedroom mansion is more then anyone needs, elons musk house cost a 3rd of that.

Firstly, Hasan isn't a communist. He's a marxist socialist, which is close to communism with some key differences.
Secondly, Hasan doesn't believe doing a blanket "redistribution of wealth". He teaches that people should be paid around as much as they are putting into a job and that the wealthy should pay a more in taxes. People making more money would still be wealthier than people making less money.
Thirdly, that set of ideals does not have anything to do with living modestly. In fact, it's entire goal is to give people more money and free time so that they can live more lavishely than before. It's about giving more people true financial freedom.
And finally, I don't think you know what grifting means. Hasan has believed in and taught the exact same things since before he was even a streamer. His ideas have never changed. Grifting is when you change your ideals in order to gain money or power. He also lives his life in the most socialist way he can within a capitalist country. His editors literally own the work they do, and have full creative freedom (They do not work for him. They work with him.) He also purposely doesn't use any tax loopholes, because he wants to contribute to social programs. He even makes his money directly from people paying him what they think he is worth. That is the purest form of socialism there could be in current America. If he was a grifter he would be at the Daily Wire being paid 25 million a year to lie to people about stuff he doesn't believe in because the right wing grift pays FAR more now. Hasan is a poor boy compared to those people.
Notice how I didn't mention charity within that. Yes he donates to charity, but that is a capitalist action. I will say that charity is a good thing created by capitalism. Also, his family lives with him in his house. He kinda does need 4 bedrooms, not that it matters. He could have a 20 bedroom mansion and it wouldn't conflict with what he teaches.

Also that isnt what grifting means. In the dictionary it just means a petty swindle. But how its used nowadays while often involves switching sides thats alwayd the case, it just means making a bunch of money of a group of peoples whos ideals you dont agree with of dont care about but you pretend to for profit.

I do agree that he can get far too angry sometimes, but I don't think that has anything to do with intelligence. It just shows he's passionate. I'm also not sure about what blatant strawmans and ad hominems you're talking about. He definitely uses those when he's joking around with viewers, but in a real conversation/debate he does not.
I will add that he doesn't hate all rich people. Someone with 3 million dollars in the bank is rich, but that's not who most socialists are going after. 3 million is nothing compared to someone like Elon who has (or had) over a billion. People with that much money had to exploit so many people to get there, that it's kind of strange if you don't dislike them.
Once again though, socialism and marxism do not prevent people from living lavishly. The main goal of them is to allow everyone to live somewhat lavishly.
On a side note, I lived to San Francisco with my father and brother around 15 years ago and we bought a house for just over 1 million. It had 2 tiny bedrooms (barely large enough to fit mattresses), a small kitchen, and a room that can barely be called a living room due to its size. I had to sleep in the hallway between the rooms becuase there wasn't space for me to sleep anywhere else. Since then, housing in California has only gotten more expensive. Taking out a mortgage (he didn't buy it outright. He isn't that rich) for a 4-5 million dollar house isn't exactly what I would call "living lavishly". Yes, it's nice, but it's nothing crazy compared to how much houses in Cali typically cost.
Btw, I do know I'm basically dick riding Hasan here, but I don't care. I genuinely think he's one of most well intentioned, nice, and good people on the internet and it always sucks to see so many people misrepresenting him.
