You may want to put a pto slip clutch on your tractor. I use a rino 72 inch finish mower on my Ford 8 N for years. Mine is rated for 30 to 100 hour. So with out that slip clutch you could do damage to your tractors pto shaft that runs though the transmission. Sense that mower was designed for a lot bigger tractor the spinning of the pto if you almost snuff the mower. Will cause a harmonic effect on the shaft and mess up your transmission tru shaft. These clutches you can get at a farm equipment dealer. I am a retired dairy farmer. When I bought my mower I got if from the dealer that all our equipment for this farm has come from for 75 years. And he new what tractor I was putting it on . Your tractor will be just fine but it's way under powered. So be careful. I have seen the usefulness of this clutch I have snuffed that 8N right out in thick grass and a clump of dirt . And that tractor is probably 30 horsepower and a real tractor not a toy tractor. These clutches are easy to put on it goes right on the pto shaft on your tractor then you hook your stuff to it.

Thanks for the tip Mr Bentwrench, I use to run a "slip clutch" on my old 8 N. These Kubota's have a two speed pto system made just for these type uses. Low speed for "bush hogs" and most farm equipment and a high speed for finish mowers. My Kubota dealer said it would handle it fine. He said it was no different than running the "belly mower" that is made for this tractor.

Ok cool. I didn't know that about those toy tractors. The 8N is the smallest we had on the farm. Would have hated to see a tractor get broken up for not having a 40 dollar part. Most people don't know about the clutches. You will love that big mower. The only problem with them. Your yard gets bigger and bigger.

@@mr.bentwrench5459 Yea I didn't know it either. The sad part of all this is that 40 dollar part was just 20 dollars not to long ago.😄

Thanks. I have a Walco 6’ rear discharge finish mower that I use on my 1951 tea20 Ferguson tractor. We recently got a 1985 Ford 1210 16 hp diesel tractor. And was wondering if the ford would run the finish mower. I believe it will after seeing your video.
What number is the ford in the background of the video.
    Have a great day.

Hi Noel, yea the 1210 should run it but you will need weight on the front to keep it down if your mower is as heavy as this one. That's my old "86 1210, the fuel pump went out on it and it's been sitting there for about 8 or 9 months. If you ever need parts for yours let me know, I don't plan on using it anymore. Or I'll sell you the whole tractor, I have the 6' belly mower for it as well. That's what I use to cut my grass with until the fuel pump went out.

Interesting. This ford we got came with a rear snowblower. It has five 42 lb tractor weights on the front. So might be ok.

Is a 72" finish mower to much for the Kubota B7200....Yes. Doesn't mean is won't run it. For a while. You have 17hp at your engine and 14hp at your PTO. 60 inch takes 15hp, but like I said, you can run it. Till you can't.
