I know. I do use them occasionally. Sometimes a little slap echo or plate reverb, but my goal with most of these acoustic covers is to play completely stripped down and raw. Warts and all, as if you were sitting in the room right in front of me watching me practice. But maybe there's too many warts coming through that a little more reverb might help bury..lol I do have a tiny bit of reverb on the vocal so it's not completely dead, but I tried to keep it subtle. On the first song I sang, I actually thought I had too much reverb at the beginning of the first verse. I then turned it down, which may or may not be noticeable unless you have headphones on.. Since I mixed this quickly and didn't want to remix it, I just left it that way. Thanks for the feedback!
Effects might help you sing with ease. That's what I use when I play out in public. Chorus, Delay, Reverb.
