BLACK FOREST - 5 DAYS SUMMER TRIP

Our 5 days summer adventure going to the #blackforest #germany on our #motorcycles.
Day 1 Oxford - Anor
Very early start, riding down to Dover for our ferry crossing to Calais, then autoroutes to our first night stay near the #ardennes.
Day 2 Anor - Schwarzwald
We’ve made the mistake of starting too late, but still had a good time. Riding through the Ardennes, and found an amazing restaurant call the Point Du Vue, amazing view dining by the side of the mountain, and one of the best scallops I’ve ever had. After lunch we’ve made progress on some more autoroutes and autobahns, Julian “made history” on an unrestricted section. As we approach our second night stay, the roads have become even more amazing as they wind through the Black Forest, Rob has let through a glimpse of his ability on a motorcycle, as he banked through corner after corner.
Day 3 Schwarzwald
An easy day, we’ve spent the day exploring the surrounding area. We found the B500 a bit on the busy side due to it being a major road through the area. We’ve turned off on to the minor roads, they are just as spectacular with amazing views, sweeping bends, with perfect surfaces, even the drain covers are flushed, you could feel any bumps. We had lunch at a pub near the Swiss boarder, then headed back, there were some road closures, but the diversions took us to some more beautiful places.
Day 4 Schwarzwald - Anor
First leg of our homeward bound journey, the weather was very good, too good! Blazing sunshine, and high temperatures. Initially we tried the back roads, but going through slow villages in the heat made us tired. So once again we’ve taken the advantage of the autoroutes, going through the tolls with our tolls tags made things much easier, we didn’t have to take off our gloves and deal with any tickets.
Day 5 Anor - Oxford
A later start as our ferry was booked in the afternoon, we couldn’t believe our adventure was near over, we didn’t want to go home yet. Our ferry was delayed due to a security issue at check in, we’ve meet a fellow motorcyclist at Calais, he has traveled from Sweden and on his way to Newcastle to see his family, he told us he would travel for 4 weeks around Europe, I wasn’t envious at all! Everyone returned home safely to their families at around 8:00 that evening. It was an amazing trip with amazing friends, thank you Julian and Rob. I can’t wait to go again on our next adventure, and hopefully more friends will join us on our amazing adventures to come!!!
