Will these be at CineGear Los Angeles? My TILTA cage constantly becomes unscrewed, after every single use, so I’m switching to Kondor Blue. I’m also currently in the market for a decent clip on matte box and this looks like exactly what I’m interested in.
Thanks for letting us know. We changed the name and reached out to Zack. No foul play intended. All our attention was on our new matte box at launch. The safety braid was an after thought.
You can Also use a Dual, or single Tray system, While still retaining a Tray less Filter Hatch on the front of the matte box. Check out 1:19 on the Video :)
I've always loved Kondor Blue's innovation, and this is no exception. but to be very honest, the small rig Matte Box mini is less than a 5th of the price for almost the same exact features. The build quality on the Kondor Blue is in fact much better, and as always, the bells and whistles are super premium, however, for people new to the craft is hard to drop that kind of coin on a matte box, when there are much less expensive alternatives.
Here's some feedback if Kondor is reading this. I have two Smallrig matt boxes that attach directly to the lens (via ring adapters). The problem I have is that my favorite lens (Canon's 28-70 2.0) shows vignette on an R5C once an adapter ring is attached, so I'm forced to use a dedicated VND. I'm trying to find a matte box that lets me connect directly to all my lenses (instead of rails) and so far, that doesn't exist from what I've found. Another note of feedback, it would be great if the matte box had a VND stage like Smallrig's Star-Trail VND, though this may not be necessary if the implementation for still lens filters works well.
I have a bunch of expodisc s for setting white balance and exposure (turns your camera meter into an incident meter. One of them was very innovative. It was in the form of a 4x5.6 inch filter which integrated with its tray. Problem was it was side loading. It would be great if you made a top loading one. The other problem is, that do not make them any more.
This is perfect, if yall can make a way to to customize this with a swing away matte box style yall will literally have covered every aspect. I have cine-modded lens so swing away are the safest for me to use for how fragile the glass is.
It's extremely light and actually beats out just about every matte box in its class, all while using premium machined materials verses a bunch of plastic.
Yall are the new Robinhood of filmmaking. Here for it 🙌🏼
Kondor Blue is quickly becoming my Favorite Camera Accessory Brand of all Time 🔥
Thanks Man!
What about the ability to rod mount (LWS & Studio) the Matte Box and be robust enough to operate off it?
Coming soon! And Yes, the Matte Box is meant to be the only Matte Box you'll ever need
Any solid black options available for preorder?
We will have a black out optional kit coming soon.
The bubble level alone got me fired up! Can't wait!
Awesome, yeah the cherry on top!
I fell for it, got pissed, now you say its not a joke, I don't even know how to feel anymore!

Idk about Ai but this is very similar to the Abracam Neo design so I’d say Phillipe at Abracam designed it?
Nope, all designed in-house.

For $550 it better be damn decent
Rota polar tray?? Or compatible with current ARRI offering?
Yes coming soon!! And Yes compatible with current standard offerings
What a damn shame ripping off the Safety Snake name. Could've at least called it something different

@@KONDORBLUEGood on you.
Super nice! The render was too good for it not to be real :D Looking forward to seeing more of it! :)
😂 we thought some would think so
OH BOY!
Oh wow, it takes stills filters! I’m in!
This looks like it might work w/my 14mm Sigma Art (100mm) lens. If so, I'll be switching systems and selling my 4x4 filters & boxes.
What's the release date
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
It looks very interesting but I'm interested to see if it vignettes on a wide lens with all of those stages.
You can Also use a Dual, or single Tray system, While still retaining a Tray less Filter Hatch on the front of the matte box. Check out 1:19 on the Video :)
Yes you did!
I kept tapping ng my phone 😂
Does it have a 114mm clamp with a 95mm adapter? Or tops out at 95mm?
You can absolutely get a 114mm version
This is really impressive!! Loving those spring loaded locks and the safety catch system too. Looks so simple but so effective.
Thanks!! It’s all about the details!
Rotation trays?
Coming soon
Finally. You guys are best 🤘😎
When will the matte box be available on the European market? A lot of filmmakers would love to see it in shops in Germany!
@@RicoStein_ yes!! It will happen! Probably through teltec and prisma to start. Likely not until late November though.
@@KONDORBLUE Awesome! Looking forward to it
Very nice 👍
The bubble level 🙏 ❤

Sorry, but no side flags on this matte box? 🥺
If you look at the website we have interchangeable hood sizes and side flag options. Everything will be modular for you to build how you need it.
Mattebox same as every one no full gradual filter support for up and down position
How so? You can certainly push a full grad filter through as high or low as you want.
@@KONDORBLUE yeah with a bottom of the filter frame in the middle of a framed shoot 🤣😂
Qa
AI did not have a say in the color blue lol
We'll have kits available for those that want to switch out the knob colors.

Very interesting, we will look into this.
Beautiful. A request - Room for 138mm circular filters like diopters and I'd put in an order right now.
Yes it will accommodate 138mm.

We have discussed swing away designs already so it may be in the cards
This is fire!
Looks great! Is there any chance you will offer a rod mount/support for it? Swing away if possible?
Yes all in the works!
@@KONDORBLUE That is awesome. Is there any way to use a VND with this matte box?
Multiple Rotatable Stages?
Rotating stages coming soon.
@@KONDORBLUE Sweet!

6 x 6 version ?
Not Currently, just the 4x5.65"
