@@GeekoutdoorsBrand For sure. I can't really use any other video editors as my laptop lags like hell with any other editors for some reason; even though I have 4Gb DDR3 memory lol
How's she goin'? Perfect timing for posting this tutorial!! I was trying to do just what you have explained here last night. Thanks so much for the help. I really like your Openshot Tutorials!!! All the best to you in 2021!!! Take care!!!
Can you move the Keyframes like you can with Shotcut ? I was using this and it's very easy and I like it but I switched to Shotcut. In Shotcut you can "slide" the keyframe to adjust it on the timeline.
Thanks much. I have been struggling to apply time parameter to speed up video by custom fraction, say 1.2 x. When I set that and insert a key frame at any particular point the whole video freezes. Are special tricks needed to use this property? In this case I am trying to speed up the entire music video and sound (ideally with pitch control but I will take what I can get). Though in principle I assume one can speed up certain segments. Thanks in advance! (and happy new year!)
Hey David, if you're looking to do more complex keyframes or just a lot of keyframes, I'd recommend you look at other free video editors like Shotcut, Kdenlive and especially Davinci if you're using Windows. I also have Keyframes tutorials for each of these programs in my playlists.
I wish they took a more direct approach to keyframing, to them specifically for each property and have them be marked more obviously on the timeline these keyframes are automatic :/
Listen to me please there is no help you can find for use this software, *how do I set a keyframe at the beginning of a clip when the clip isn't the first in the edit?* I don't even need keyframes but you have to set values as a keyframe, so frustrating!!

Hey Grampie great to hear from you and as always thx! Happy New Years!
Thanks, this helped me better understand keyframes. Which one of your OpenShot videos explains the "effects," or is that in the future?
Sure thing Mike! I think I've already done an effects and transitions video in my Openshot playlist.

I don't recall being able to do that in Openshot.
Thank you.
You're very welcome!

these keyframes are automatic :/
Yup I agree!
Yeah, ordinarily the key markers are hard to see, but a 360p its almost impossible.
Yup 360P whoa!
Wait is it just me or does openshot no longer have a crop property?
Hmmm not sure 🤔
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand no worries i figured it out thanks
For some reason video cropping seems to be missing for me, i downloaded version 2.6.1 for windows, is there anything i missed?
- Thanks
Hmmm I'm not sure myself as I'm not experiencing the same thing 🤔
Oh well I'll figure something out, thanks for the tutorial
How to avoid creating keyframes? Thanks.
It depends on the type of projects you do as sometimes you will need keyframes and this also applies to other video editors as well.

Hmmm I'm thinking go to beginning and set keyframe there and if that doesn't work, not sure.
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand ok thank you!
So Nice 💘💘💘💘💘💘
👍
I dunno but videos are laggy when editing on openshot even on latest version. Adobe premiere pro 2022 is better than this.
Yup Openshot is currently not the best optimized video editor even for more powerful hardware.
Sorry. Too quick. Not clearly explained.
👍
