I think innovative skips are just part of the skill curve :D Just look at TrackMania! They found bugs and weird skips all over the place. It just makes the World records that much more fun to watch :D
There's definitely a balance to it. Do you waste time on a run that you know is going to have a terrible time and you might not even finish anyway, or do you reset and completely start over, losing any chance of that run ever being good? It's all about judgement and trying to maximize your time to not waste it. I suppose going for any time at all at the start would be good, so less restarting, and then once you get an actual time, then you can go for the faster times and restart more often when you know it won't be as good.
I actually really liked this track, and while I was watching I had the idea of a track with hidden checkpoints that the players have to find, or a non-linear track where people have to go to different parts of the map to collect checkpoints in any order and it's about finding the best way to connect them all (you could even do both in one if you wanted to).

I do agree however that the rpg track genre lends itself really well for nonlinear tracks, and that brings me to an example of what could work: imagine... pizza delivery to multiple places across the map, seemingly random. I've tried to make a map like this with the free map editor of TMNF, but kept adding more and more stuff and then ran into limitations of the free/built-in editor where you can't overlap things :P
Track idea - Brachistochrone. You get there faster when you go on a hilly up and down road than a constant slope. Can you pull that out of game physics Kan?
I think I figured out the new dynamics of you 3. Kosmo = fun theme tracks with a few tech Dapper = troll but tracks with cheese tech Kan = "its easier than last week" Almost impossible track because kan cursed himself for not knocking on wood.

And your tracks are in a lot of regular mixed playlists, especially Full Speed and Midnight Bobsled, but really all of them see some play. You can check your subscription count in the workshop too, you have tons of subscribers to both the collection and the individual tracks, and the most common way to gain a subscriber is because the track played in a public lobby and a dozen people were auto-subscribed (if they didn't already have it).
Track idea: Ready Player One In the movie, to get the first key, it’s not going forward, it’s driving in reverse. Under the map and still winning. I think that would be hilarious and really fun!

I just like the idea of riding on top of other vehicals miles above the ground. . . but given the limited track pieces. . . not a great idea now that I think it out loud. Instead, how about curves only? Pipes, funnels, fans. Anything but straight pieces/sections allowed.
As an Arizona resident, I have to thank you for depicting my state in a race track. Seriously, do you know how many roads there are here with large canals/engineered rivers along the side? This is a culturally accurate tribute.
You should do some tunnels and lane transition Track where by you start on a road than cross into an incoming Lane than transit to a ditch than do a Chris-Cross into a tunnel and cross-Chris back to a road than figure 8 and do it reverse and have them meet in one lane both directions. Due to the to anti-collision rule in the game it should be fine but confusing at the same-time.
Theme idea: Vertical. You could build a giant wall ride or a straight down run with fans pushing you back into the track or a straight up with constant speed boosts.
Track idea - Recycling See how many different ways you can use and reuse the track pieces you place (would be interesting to see a point where people drive over a checkpoints if that's possible)
Theme idea: "around the house". Perhaps it means around a bunch of houses (like through a neighborhood) or around the inside of a house with furniture and stuff. Maybe you are tiny and can drive through mouse holes and into the walls or something.
Theme idea, "Minimalism" just put a finish off in the distance somewhere, and add fog so its hard to find even in photo mode, and see if people can find it.

kAN. I don’t hate your tracks. Good tip: The reason why your tracks are so hard is because you have so much time to validate it. I recommend doing the 15min tracks again so you don’t have as much time to validate it. 15min tracks = less time to build a hard track which helps in making them easier. Oh, and why are your videos usually a day after Kozmos and Dappers?

How about a theme of gauntlet or triathlon? Track broken into parts, with like a dedicated offroad section, jumps section, fans section, and obstacles section?
Perhaps a "downhill mountain pass" theme would be cool? Base it on a real one, or make a made-up one, but some form of like, Initial D-styled downhill would be sick. trees on both sides of the road, gutters that you can use to speed up, hairpins that you HAVE to brake/slide for.

Yannic should've picked a track made by each of the TH-camrs and put all the items they personally use as the rewards in adventure league. So Kan's track to get his car, trash can hat, and clear green body would be on this track, or another fun track of his. Same for Kosmo and Dapper, just thinking
Nah. It’s a rural thing. I’ve plowed through drainage ditches (aka bar ditches) in trucks down in Texas and have friends that did so with snow mobiles all over the Rockies. Also, isn’t that Kosmo?
It would sweet to have a live episode of running three pre made tracks so one live event is three from one creator and than swap to the next live event so they can run another three and than the last live. This would give each channel a live event with three random tracks.
I think the problem with people not finishing the Maps is that the games Physics are not determined. That flair of Random, while interesting really does throw some ideas you all have had out the window and also leads to a map thats piss easy to run on your own leads to few actually completing it.
You could try the theme: no checkpoints. Gotta be long, you can cover what you can for cheese, but whatever the community finds, it finds.
I was about to comment the same thing, I think that would be pretty entertaining.

The risk of not finishing would probably be a lot lower if you didn't keep resetting every time you encounter the slightest imperfection.

I constantly have your tracks in my lobbies! But I also play later (7pm cst) Q.Q I like that most are challenging but not impossible.
Looked like a fun one. I think there is lot of potential for finding better lines.

I liked your midnight bobsled and fullspeed tracks. If you want more people playing the tracks you make spend some more time on the routing.
