so it calculates compression one cylinder at a time by presumably opening vlaves on the other cylinders? and presumably RPM equates to compression by faster RPM = lower compression and vice versa?
This doesn't seem available on VCDS 22.9.0, that or it's not available on CAXA engines... Do you have any idea how else I could do a compression test on a Scirocco 1.4l 122hp CAXA?
This is not a compression test that measures the PRESSURE in each cylinder. This is a compression BALANCE test that shows the difference of compression between cylinders.
you have an tdi right? is it normal that while the test is running the car beginns to shake heavy or should i take a look on the engine mounts or dmf? my problem is soft shaking while accelerate. the injection quantity deviation while driving is perfect 0 and with the beginning of load while driving upwards or accelerate the values of cylinder 1 and 2 began to rise up to 3 and negative 3 mg/stroke. The compressiontest finished with all cylinders at the same speed.
the rpm does not correlate with the pressure in a cylinder. 240 1/min should be enough to perform a compression test, however you should ideally attach a powerful charger to the 12 v battery to ensure that the rpm's do not drop between measuring cylinders.
It doesn't measure the engine rpm. It measures the starter rpm. For example, if one cylinder has a significantly higher rpm value, it has low compression due to the starter motor being able to turn faster because of less resistance.

This is called a relative compression test. It is for picking out bad cylenders, when you crank the engine the computer is recording the speed for each cylinder with no fueling. The faster a cylinder is moving the less compression it has. It doesn't tell you how much compression you have in terms of pressure only a comparison of your best cylinder to the worst.
Merci beaucoup ♥️
The value for the 1.6 TDI CAYC PLEASE

Hi, to do this with Vcds do you have to remove the spark plugs?
Ma car 2.0t benzin ea113
Salut ! Poți să faci încă odată tutorial cu vcds activare mod sport și ESP sport pentru golf 7 cu noua versiune vcds . Mulțumesc !
hello
will this work with my jetta m6 1.4 tsi 2012?
281.5 rpm are rotated in the car?
Thankyou
Very helpful information thank you so much
thanks

Can you please update the video? VCDS version 23 has changed

did you get your injectors serviced ?
Also clean DRV and metering unit on HPP.
@@apacheracingdna i renewed the injectors from a Bosch-Service. But i have sold my Car this week. My new one got a TSI engine...
What's the oldest year this test will work for ?
tried this and it didnt bring up any values all stayed on 0 , why would this be ?
what is the oem value of a 2.0 gtd golf 7?
hello , if above 6rpm ?
on my 1.6 cayc it turned out only 240.25 do you think this is not enough?
and can we assume that 240 is 24 bars?

No, good condition petrol engine compression is usually betwen 12-14 bar, some petrol engines may exeed 15 bar

How can the rpm be different for each of the cylinders? I don't think this measures rpm, does it

what is this for?
This is a dynamic compression pressure test
to test whether there is any compression leak or not
Can someone explain what is happening?

@@unknown-fy4ub Thank you very much for the explanation
@@unknown-fy4ub well said sir , a benefit for the comunnity that we all appreciate. Thank you very much .
mqb only? Can my Mk5 do this?

All stupid guys whos asking for VCDS compression test on a fuel engine... just go put ur computer on trash u are wasting ressources
