You explain how to fault find in a simple to understand way unlike alot of youtubers. Alot of people seem to make out you can only repair motherboards with schematics, which you don't. Have even managed to fault find a dead iPhone 6. A shorted cap near the wifi ic.

Nice man i like to know if is possible what type of video switcher you are using and what is the name of outro music you are using, and i have an sugestion for you to avoid audio loss you can use an lavalier on the top of HDMI cable on your microscope like a backup so if your battery die or transmitter is gone you will still have audio on the video. :)

Short of removing the cap (no pun intended), would one be able to easily check the proper capacitance value of the cap with a meter to check its integrity?
I would assume that one would probably need to know the correct value in order to check, but one DOES know that value, could one meter the capacitance to check the cap's integrity?
@YeshTV Right, but I've had situations where a cap would short to ground on both sides, but the issue would end up being an IC instead of the cap itself.
I suppose it really just depends whether or not one knows how that cap is used in the circuit -- which is obvious when he pulled up boardview there at the end.

I've being following your videos and I do enjoy them a lot, thanks for all those awesome contents, but I actually have a question to ask concerning this video, we had two hot spots on the board, but eventually found out those caps is causing the short, then why is the Tigris chip heating up with the capacitor since the short occurred at the capacitors, and no current suppose to flow through the Tigris chip since we have a short.
