Just complete repairing my own iPhone 8 using your video as a guide. It worked out bautifully and it was also a shorted cap that I simply took out. Now my iPhone works great again. Thanks a lot!

The current limited psu is very handy, and it won't upset a radio as it's linear :-D

How do you know it is linear? Nobody uses linear PSU’s anymore, unless if you have some old ones in your lab. Why is not upsetting a radio relevant? Just wondering...
@@crazyphil7782 , he took it apart a while back, it has a mains transformer (linear supply)
Switchmode power supplys produce lots of harmonics created by the squarewave applied to the high frequency transformer, many harmonics appear on the radio bands, so radios can be upset.

Flir would help alot locating the shorted caps. Even a cheap one will get you to the area then use the fluid way.

Hi,voltage on my XZ1 on battery pin goes from 1,2,4v all the time,phone wont turn on,bootloops till few day's ,now totally dead...i have normal multimeter,no amps to test

But why you didn’t remove the first Cap which was shorted next to the Ic charge
When the rail is shorted, all caps across it present as short while they are still on the board.
