The Mercedes-Benz W196R, also known as the Silver Arrow, it that gave Stirling Moss his first 1955 World Championship victory and is one of the most iconic and successful racing cars of all time. It was designed and built by Mercedes-Benz for the 1954 and 1955 Formula One seasons, and it dominated the competition, winning both championships and nine races out of 12.
The W196R was powered by a 2.5-liter inline-eight engine that produced over 250 horsepower. It was also equipped with a number of innovative features, including a streamlined body, fuel injection, and a desmodromic valve train.

Great video Pete; it’s a lovely model, but it’s a real shame that the body is screwed on because it hides all that amazing internal detail, especially the engine & even the frame .. should have been made so it could be easily removed
