Man, Mazda’s are so underrated... what’s wrong with people? Look at how gorgeous their entire lineups of vehicles are. Not only that but they’re reliable, and perform very well.
Much like volkswagen, people think others are better, reliable and others aren't. It's imprinted since they knew cars exist. The new 3 series are good looking but lack engine options, like the turbos etc
As an owner of a Mazda6 I can say why I didn't think of buying it earlier. I thought Mazda to be more luxurious, more expensive cars, so really impractical. If not for my wife asking "And what about Mazda?" and me then looking into their actual prices, taking a test drive and so on - I would probably have bought a Kia or even some basic Audi, thinking Mazda to be too cool for me.
Mazda’s like the Volvo of the mass market - the smaller automaker doing their own thing, punching above their weight, and not running in circles chasing the competition. Beautiful, unique, luxurious, and tailored for a special kind of buyer looking for something different. Love what they’re about.
A TH-cam Channel with no name Eh, they’re different flavors. Volvos are for people who want an amazing understated luxury car, and Mazdas are for people who want beautiful design and driving characteristics for the price. I would definitely agree that Mazdas are a better bang for your buck deal than Volvos are, but one isn’t necessarily much better than the other as a whole.

This awful high praise for a 8 year old platform. But I love mine and it really took time for me to pick up all the generous considerations made to the driver. Great video! We've been a Mazda owner since '98 (626, B-3000, 2 Tributes) and just got my wife a '21 CX-5. When we got my wife's 626, I was not a Mazda fan until I drove that car. Then she couldn't keep me out of it. I leased the B-3000 truck for 3 years and it was okay, but then she bought a 2001 Tribute. We argued over who was going to drive that one, so I bought one in 2002 when my truck lease was up. We still have both Tributes and her '01 is just starting to have some mechanical issues, but it is 20 years old. Not bad and I think we definitely got our money's worth out of it. I absolutely love the cars. While we were looking at her CX-5, I nosed around the lot until I found the Mazda6. That will possibly be my next car in a couple of years.
I think you have me convinced. I was thinking Camry but I may have to go with the Mazda 6. I just got rid of my 2010 Mazda 3 and it was an excellent little car so I have no doubt this would be a solid car.
If you want a premium vehicle from a premium brand for a bit more money, go for this.. if you’d rather spend less and have more reliability go for a Camry or corolla
Just a quick correction, it's real wood, not faux. I have the 2018 and agree with everything you said. Haven't had the reflection issues you mentioned, maybe seat position? I'm a few inches shorter than you.
I bought my 2018 Mazda 6 two years ago. This is one of those cars where it truly does indeed transcend the spec sheets, its more than the sum of its parts, all those cliche' phrases. The engine doesn't rev much, but it also doesn't need to. It's always very responsive feels way more like a V6 than other turbo 4s that I've driven. I love looking at cars and still watch Topher a lot, but my Mazda has never left me wanting for more, even after I came from a manual 2012 Buick Regal GS tuned to 300+ hp when I bought it.

The one and only thing I don't like about Mazda is the new key fob. Overly large and hollow and the buttons are way too small. The old fob was alot better tbh. Will probably buy the upcoming turbo Mazda 3 as soon as it's available though!

I just watched the BMW 3 series review and now this. Tbh I did not get any feeling that I switched from luxury to a mainstream car. I still felt like I was watching a luxury car review. Mazda just needs to catch up on technology and a panoramic sunroofs in the cars
i think they have sunroofs and all the new tech already...
Yes, Mazda's are so underrated! I have owned three: 2008 3s GT, 2016 6i GT and currently picked up my 2020 CX 5 Signature. Best cars for the money, hands down. Always look forward to your reviews, thorough, honest and focused.
Wow! In addition to this being a fantastic driver's car, the Bose sound system sounds fantastic on my home theater system! It's as if I'm playing the music.
You can buy this or a Mercedes for 30K and nobody will know how well u have it. Practicality over a brand name.
Other YT reviewers are doing POV reviews these days, but you guys are still the best. Keep it up!😎
You sure do love that mazda 6
best thing about Mazda that they got a small factory.. you can make sure they make is good cuz they just focusing on a few chassis bases
Also I wish Mazda would go with light grey instead of white leather because white leather is nearly impossible to keep clean.
Put some good zebra seat covers over the seats.
@@Krzrrazrrokr Or just get black seats lol
They need to put in the Mazda 3 design in their other models fast because that interior and steering wheel is absolutely beautiful
The Topher with his voice would be succesful in a movie trailer industry. 😀
Have a 2006 Mazda 6 v6 still run great !!
That’s partially made by Ford back in days
@@nilaomugexi they use some ford parts like the dipsticks and whatnot but the 2.3 4 banger is mazda designed and so is the platform, essentially its mainly mazda
Great review. I think I'd go for the Honda Accord Sport, though, just because it has the manual stick shift option.
I've got to say, if I'm looking to get into something, I go here. You seem to hit all of the important points for daily use. Doug Demuro may know all the quirks but this great.
I love my 2018 3. It’s not a “hot” hatch but damn it’s pretty “warm.”
2.5l NA is a fun little engine, car looks great, handles well etc. makes for a great little car to have in the garage.
I will easily buy another Mazda
I drove this car and it was great, but those hard bumps on the road were awful and came right through the cabin. Smooth rodes, car was amazing.
One of the best looking cars on the market I think. Looks way better than many cars that cost three or four times as much!
I wish Mazda would bring the Skyactiv X to the United States. Excellent review. Thanks
I like it, but two things that bothers me: the low quality of the reverse camera and the white interior... the rest is fine.
I don't think seeing something in low res is going to hurt anyone. Also, the interior color is customizable. You can get a black or an espresso brown as well.
@@jamesgand828 Yeah, but if you're having the "Signature" trim level you expect to have a decent quality, even some cars with low trim level have better view camera. The interior yes, you can change it, is ok.
esteban muñeton you look at it for less than a minute a day usually. Why should they waste money on it, I think it’s fine
@@appletree4433 he want it 4k to play ps4 games on it!
The sound test is sooo relaxing!!
227 HP 310 Torque that's pretty nice
Great video and even better car!!!!, I'm looking to buy the 2021 Signature as well but I have one question though, does it have remote start on the key fob?. Been trying to find that feature but the website doesn't list it and can't find the answer on any article online. I'm currently overseas and I'm unable to call the local dealership in my hometown.
The best part is the Mazda 6 Wagon looks fantastic, considering it for our next family car.
I was thinking about getting this car I got a couple other sedans in mind I just haven't made my mind up yet
Trust me, 4th generation mazda are really killing it..you will not go wrong or regret for any mazda you purchase, and to make it more interesting they have partnership with toyota right now ..their cars are gonna be getting more and more tougher than before
just and FYI all Mazda signatures models have real wood it is not fake wood. Mazda6 CX9 and CX5 all have real wood. Great videos keep up the good work.
Went from a 2014 mazda6 to a 2017 civic and holy shit I miss the Mazda.
how do you rate the 6 speed automatic compared to the other modern units because its a regular torque converter unit but i also heard that it also has a clutch like in a standard transmission
My 2016 Mazda 6 has 70k miles and has gone through 4 OEM batteries, valve cover gasket is leaking, hydronic belt tensioner is
leaking, had a misfire and had to replace a leaking fuel injector, brakes wear out fast and front rotors warp extremely quick. I
wouldn't call that great reliability so far.
