Have you ever wondered what this confusing verse actually means? Well, today we will hopefully explore it's original meaning and intent to the original hearers of this verse. Enjoy and I hope you find it helpful! Have a great weekend everyone.
Hi Allen, love your work, broither, but I'm not sure about your interpretation here. In the verse immediately before, Jesus says, "HE THAT BELIEVES IN ME the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. AND whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do" (Jo 14:12-13) It seems to me that this is addressed to all believers, not just to the Apostles. The problem with the, "Jesus only meant [X] for the Apostles", interpretation is: Where do you apply, and where do you NOT apply that interpretation? You could in fact apply it to most of the recorded words of Jesus and, by that logic, 90% of what He said would be irrelevant to ordinary believers. In the same chapter, Jesus said to the Apostles: _In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you._ - John 14:2 So does that mean Jesus only went to prepare a place for the Apostles? Do the rest of us believers not have a place in heaven? _If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever._ John 14:16-17 So does the Holy Spirit only come in to the Apostles?
Let’s not reduce God to our three point list on how He works. As mentioned in the video, people can do that and ask for a spouse and children, for example, and never receive them, yet these are very good wants, and very humble requests which could indeed glorify God and advance His Kingdom. And people will tell the petitioners, if God placed those desires within you, don’t give up or He wouldn’t have given them to you in the first place. And yet it never comes for some. *The truth is He is God.* And, as God, His ways are past finding out. And our job is to praise Him and worship Him in all things -- not understanding, not knowing, not boxing and not diminishing Him to make Him us. There is as much danger - I dare say more, as it is unbelief - in giving a three point formula in order to play it safe and say “what He didn’t mean,” as there is in believing the other end of the spectrum disavowed here that God is wildly obligated to answer all your infinite wishes as your personal genie in the bottle, and to believe for any and everything. *Again, He is GOD.* That alone tells you He *cannot* be reduced to this. May WE continue to grow in His unveiling and His revealing as HE shows us more aspects of Himself and as He continues to blow our minds as God. Amen.
So only pray if it benefits God's glory, and prayer will only work if its God's will... Whats the point of prayer then? That literally is a pointless system. If God has a will, you can't change it. If it's God's will, it will happen without you praying, or must you pray first for God's will to work?
@@noble604 No this is not a 3 points formula, Our Jesus and the apostles told us how to pray and what to pray for. and in the book of Psalms we do find examples of prayers
@@dustinellerbe4125 Yes our God is a sovereign God and is in control of everything, firstly we pray because the bible encourages us to pray and also commands us to pray. We pray so that our will will be aligned with the Lord's will. We pray so that our trust in the Lord will grow. We pray to communicate with our father and pour out our feelings before him. See prayer like you as a child asking what you need to your earthly father. Your father knows what is best for you and sometimes what you think you need might not be the best thing for you at the moment that's how God works, and since God knows everything it's even more awesome to pray to him more

Such an important topic, because there are so many who think that this verse makes God a cosmic candy man/genie who's sole purpose is to give humans all fleshly desires according to our own will and finite perspective.
@@yunablu6241 Well, He might, maybe, at LEAST - reveal if Eve KNEW Of the wider stakes, before the Fall - and how se was to choose with NO idea of what good, or evil was? As well as if Satan DID have that knowledge, instead? Just a thought.
I was backslid for a long time after losing my grandmother and my mom. I never did anything toward God but I was angry with him. I also never asked him for anything outside of his will because I had interpreted These verses as you have. Turns out, he didn't turn his back on me. I was feeling particularly low one night and my cousin texted me out of the blue, wondering if I was all right. She was fist cousins with my mom and we ended up praying together over the phone. I'm now back on the right path after five years of hell. The only thing that we can figure out is God saw how low I had sunk, and he intervened. Your sermons have helped as well. Anyways, I wanted to share my story with you and the TH-cam community.
Amen. I had a conversation with my mom the other day about how in a personal relationship with God there are some variables that just can't be explained fully in the Bible. I believe He will go through any length to reach His children, His chosen. No matter what you've done or where you've been. I went through a few slumps over the years and recently heard Him speak to me " I still choose you." That's unexplainable. However I received it and believe it. God bless and thanks for sharing.

The Hebrew word for Name is Shem which means character. The character of Jesus is in line with God's will purpose, and desire. I would like to know the opinions of others. Peace and Blessings
Jesus said in John 14:12, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." In my opinion, I believe that this along with other passages of Scriptures mean that these promises are for us as believers who are abiding in Christ today. What matters is that they have to be in alignment with the Father's will.
Everytime you come across a difficult verse, remember these questions mentioned in the video: 1. Who is the person that is talking? 2. Who are they talking to? 3. What did these mean to the original listeners? 4. How can I apply those principles to my life?
King James Bible Proverbs 28 : 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. King James Bible james (Jacob) 5:26 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
However God can knock you down with a verse that was to an individual in the Bible but He can burn that in your heart if it was meant for you. God can use any scripture to speak to us. It all depends on the individual. Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not. Just because that was told to a prophet of God does not mean you can't ask God for the same thing. God Loves His Children. He wants to bless us. I personally come to Him as a child and I really pull on His coattail if you will. God is a great provider. Again He loves you! More than anything! Ask your Father in Heaven to give you the desires of your heart. Let me say this in closing. In 60 years on this earth I have begged God for many things. I have received so many things from God it would blow your mind! Not every thing I asked for but a lot of huge things that only God could do. He worked out things that was nothing but a divine miracle. Why? Because I was persistent to my Father in Heaven. I kept asking. His coffers are full. He owns it all. My suggestion for you or anyone is 1, get right with God. Confess your sins. 2, Be consistent in prayer and reading scripture. 3, tell others about Jesus. 4, receive His blessings. Understand I AM NOT a name it and claim it person! But Bless God I am one that believes in my Father in Heaven and He DELIGHTS to help His Children. I know it is real. Don't quit! Each step I Take I KNOW He is with me. Take that to the Bank brothers and sisters. ❤✝️
Read the Bible yourself and ask the Lord for wisdom and understanding. If we don’t believe God can use us to do greater things then it won’t happen. Jesus said in John 14:12 “ Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. “-Mark 16:17-18
Anything in His name = anything in God’s will. 😊🙏✝️ As we truly know God and abide in him, he realigns our hearts with his heart, to desire what he desires... Then he can give us the desires of his heart - Psalm 34:7
Ya same. Not gonna lie, I’m kinda devastated now cuz I thought God wanted me to pray about something, and I’ve been praying about it for months now... ahh I feel so stupid cuz I’ve tried everything! @@sadgilouis2092 Dont feel stupid im hapoy to have the truth and not a lie Pray and ask God to give you the desire to gloryify him in all that you do even conversating with people and God will do it
@@sadgilouis2092 no, don't worry, if it's God's will he will do it but we can't force God. As you saw, Jesus was praying the father and he asked him multiple times to remove the cup from him but it wasn't God's will. So we can ask, but humbly, and in the knowledge that God's will matters the most. Because our minds are limited, God sees what's better for us.
@@mandyg9119 Yeah, but never lose hope. The hope that matters the most is the hope of the promises God made to us, this is encouraging when facing this tough life, because we know that God himself, the creator of the universe, has prepared a place for us, and we will be with him in heaven, so never lose hope my friend, life on earth might be discouraging, but always remember of the hope that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This, Mr. Parr, is a dangerous and slippery slope. Because I read the Bible, I understand the intention of what you're saying, but I disagree with it quite a bit. With that logic of Jesus speaking to people/disciples of a different time with a specific purpose (i.e. it not really applying to us), that can justify any of us actually not asking God to be involved in our lives/not using the Word for anything in any areas of our lives. I mean, the entire OT is essentially prophets and kings stating what God would do to (and for) the Israelites if they obeyed/disobeyed Him. For someone new to Christianity, are they to believe that these things still apply to them, since they're not Israelites? That is, do those things not apply to us as well because He was talking to a specific group of people during a specific time? When David, David's ancestors, and numerous others before and after David cried out, asked for deliverance, for famines/droughts to disappear (or to actually appear in Elijah's case), for children, asked for wisdom, asked for a king (which God granted, by the way, even though it was a disaster for the Israelites), asked for food (i.e. manna), a land of their own, homes, etc., does this mean that God will not answer us if we have a similar desire (i.e. to not be homeless, to have food in the fridge, to be free of sin, to want marriage, to have a baby, etc.) because it was for specific group of people for a specific time and for a specific purpose? Of course not. Jesus is BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER! When He was talking to the disciples, He was also there watching you (and each of us, really) be born. Time means nothing, because He exits outside of it. Yes, our desires have to line up with God's desires and His will, but the way you worded this is quite unsettling (not for me, since I am familiar with the Word, but for people who already have difficulties talking to God, or feel quite intimidated or inferior when asking God for help. After watching this, I could see how this would greatly discourage them from feeling assured that God is a Provider, Protector, Lover of One's Soul, and WANTS to hear our little silly anxieties and desires because He cares for us. After watching this, I can see how it would be harder for them to believe Jesus cares for them just as much as He did for the disciples. That, or their lives are not as important/there's nothing they can do for the Kingdom of God). Didn't Jesus also say that there are those who believe in Him that will do greater things than even He before He departed this Earth???? Meaning, when He was talking to the disciples, He had us (the future) in His mind and His plans. He always does. Yes, it's specific, but it's not exclusive to any group who believes in God Almighty.
Lacey, I’m inclined to agree with you on this one. I love what Allen does, but I don’t agree with his assessment on this. You can take any passage in the NT and make it applicable to those to whom it was addressed leaving out the rest of us. Yes, I believe He was talking directly to His disciples, but why does that exclude us? How do you determine what’s specifically slated for the 12 over any true disciple. The reasons for not seeing this scripture manifested in our lives (lack of faith, impure/selfish motives etc) would have made for a better topic of discussion. I’m currently reading “Fearless Prayer” by Craig Hazen who speaks the exact opposite of what Allen is saying, and it’s NOT laced in false prosperity ideology. I think Allen’s approach is one of conservatism which quite frankly is safe Christianity. Jesus even prays for His present and future disciples, so you’re right in saying He thought of everyone who’s a Believer.. Thank you for your response. I would love to see how/if Allen will comment. It’s worth having a healthy discussion.🤷🏾♂️
You seem to have a lot of anger within you. And you've written a lot of false implications. No one said God does not care about our needs or wants to listen to us. Of course He does... God allows all of us to ask anything in Jesus' Name, however, there are many people who take this statement out of context and assume God will grant them whatever they want, whenever they want. Then they become angry with God and sometimes pull away from Him when He does not grant their wishes. Just because God does not grant everything we ask, does not mean He does not care. God knows what we need better than we do. John 14:12-14 is used to be "self serving " all of the time. That is what's dangerous and that's the point of the video.
@@portcitypizzle "Safe Christianity"?? A little insulting, don't you think??? It takes boldness to state what Allen has posted. Many people reject the video because it goes against what they WANT to believe versus God's Truth. Very insulting comment...
I can see Some of these prosperity preachers really using this one out of context. I don’t like money, I don’t want wealth, I just have my needs met and my pets are taken care of and that’s all that matters. I only want Jesus Christ. He’s my everything.
What about the poor we as people of God we need more than just having our needs met sounds selfish we need to help others if you only want your needs met there is no room to help others the homeless the widows the orphans

Who is Allen? Who is Paul? They are just people that lead you to Christ. Don't be addicted to this man, rather listen to him, but study for yourself and seek God for yourself. Don't rely on this man to take you to heaven.
How do you stay Humble through everyone telling you “Good Job” like this in the comments Allen? It’s something I struggle with when people praise me even for the smallest thing I always seem to get prideful and goes to my head, I know it’s wrong but I still get proud, Maybe it can be the next topic! Nice Video by the way 👍
It's because I know that God exalts the humble but opposes the proud. I don't want God opposing me or having to humble me. I know that God is the Source of everything that I do and without Him I'd be nothing. So, I try not to ever get too high or too low with what people say for or against me. I think that is a wise practice. Great question Jacob!

Tht a great point. It starts at the beginning of the prayer , "Father in Heaven , they Will be done." To ask the Father in Christ must gravitate around God's Will. Christ will not grant anything unless it's God's will. Many ask for prosperity, the devil also wants people to succeed and prosper, (so they can rebel and say they gained it in their own.) Hopefully you can see the connection
“You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.” James 4:2-3 ESV
Thanks so much for this fantastic teaching,Allen. I’ve been waiting for 17 years to hear this! This verse and other similar ones have been such a problem to me for exactly the reasons you mentioned, we don’t see it happening in practice. As God cannot lie, I knew there had to be a good explanation, but despite listening to many respectable bible teachers on this I have been left unsatisfied and unconvinced. This explanation absolutely hits the nail on the head. BLESS YOU!!
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15 ESV If this was just for the apostles, why would John reconfirm it back to all Christians?
You are Correct But so is allen This is like Double meaning spiritually, You receive it and understand that yes that was for Him but on the flip side we know we can apply it to us as well ONLY if it is in his will it will be answered, So it is reconfirmed for the people but in CLEAR detail, That is Yes We can have it IF IF IF it is in his will, Which..Duh haha. Allen didn't mean God will never answer us He was just trying to get rid of prosperity preachers being able to use this verse to mean BOOM YOU GET A CAR YOU GET A CAR AND YOU GET A CAR, the verse allen gave was "ANYTHING YOU ASK IN MY NAME" But we know we can't get ANYTHING, so the verse you mentioned is for ALL people which is YES you will get it...IF I SAY YES, IF IT IS IN MY WILL.. See the difference one says ANYTHING, The other says IF IT IS IN MY WILL...it's very very simple
I’m seeing with all the comments that this is one of those God Breathed topics of controversy. I agree not all we request is asked to glorify God. We all are made human with so many needs or wants. We believe if we’re doing our utmost to know what His will is. By truly studying, believing, praying and growing in knowledge by the H.S. Doing all we can to seek Christ likeness in our words and deeds then the blessings must follow. To God, time is irrelevant. Our existence is seen as a blink. Suffering for Him is what, if a Christian will experience. God does promise for the true believer that there is a way of escape or relief through diversity for those who love Him. Everything in the Bible is to teach, admonish, guide and correct the believer in running and in completing achieving the prize. The prize of amazing Worship of our Father our Savior & Lord Jesus Christ. To experience the fullness of what heaven is through His Holy Spirit. Living forever with the full knowing of this verse. Eph. 2:8-10. Everything that’s everything is from God and is to be for the glory of God. As a sinner here on this earth, that is a life long pilgrimage for me.
I really do appreciate your videos. They've helped me immensely after coming out from "word of faith " teachings. Those teachings really set me back. So thank you again.
I agree. I have asked god for things and have received. Not too much like money or cars.. but when I was battling my addiction I told god I surrender it to him and to take this pain and craving away. I haven’t drank in almost 3 years and never craved it again. I believe god delivers if we surrender it to him. Also recently I was unemployed for 4 months I prayed everyday and said please god send me a job that is good for me. I will trust your timing and it happened. As long as we continue to love and pray and I think he will deliver. You just have to trust his timing.

Psalm 37:4 says 'Delight thyself also in the Lord: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart'. Thank you my brother for opening my eyes to this!!! For years, and I know I'm not alone, I have taken this particular scripture out of context...and context is important when it relates to scripture! For years I have been taught the "name it claim it in Jesus name thing" and often wondered why some things i asked for is not granted! Its not granted because of my agenda and motivation!! I've been taught how to use the context of scripture as well but even with being taught that you still see or hear other teacher/preachers misusing scripture fir personal gain!! I get it....I really get it! and I appreciate the God (spirit) in you for sharing this! Blessings upon you sir!
My context - denounce the prosperity gospel, denounce word of faith movement, made many mistake in doctrine, keen to learn. I think Pastor Alan is incorrect when stating that our Lord Jesus meant His words exclusively for the apostles. This teaching is preceded by a call to remain in the vine, that the world would hate his disciples and that the promised Holy Spirit would come. My understanding is this is for all Christians; how is the scripture in question any different?
That's what I like about you , you do the topics ALOT of people shy away from👍 and also .I always thought we can ask for anything , but sometimes the answer is no.have a blessed weekend💖🙏
I love listening to you but I believe your point isn’t completely reflecting context. Read John 14:12 to 14:14. He does say “you” but it starts off as “whoever”. Although I absolutely agree with the rest of your teaching about humility, glorifying God, and working to advance the Kingdom.
You have raised a very cardinal point here. Maybe certain requests are not granted due to other factors i.e. not in accordance with GOD'S will, using GOD'S name in prayer without the faith required etc etc

This is my own analogy; Jesus said; "I am the way, the truth and the life" "No man should live by bread alone, but by every words that cometh from God" If God is the way, the truth and the life then everything we ask in His name.. (Edit) Then it's like saying, in the name of The way, the truth and the life, let it be (amen) "All Truth is God's truth" -Alfred Holmes
I never really asked for anything for myself until my oldest Son passed away. In the early days and months I ask God to let me sleep the pain away. He Did!

@@kenwinhunte8213 Other than technology and ability to travel by air what greater things is anyone doing today. After being a Christian for 30 years the only thing I see greater is the ability to reach more people with the gospel via internet , and flying for missionaries to reach far away countries etc.
If you can't take the exact words of Christ for face value and pray within His will then there's no need to be a Christian. Brother Alan, you need to bring in all the other scriptures especially in the New Testament that talk about asking for your teaching to be complete. Prosperity preachers apart, the bible cannot contradict itself.
God bless you brother Alan, I’m so grateful for your videos, this lesson was very poignant and couldn’t be any clearer truth. Continue the work of the Lord as you are doing, it is so needed in this time.

It says “ And these signs shall follow those THAT BELIEVE IN MY NAME” I do agree that to believe in HIS NAME assumes the person is in His will and obedience to his word when they ask according to the will of God. But it is a promise to all believers John 16:17 And these signs will follow those who [d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Hello I just watched this video about this very same topic. ASK for anything in My Name and I will do it. The video I watched was from a young man that also was talking about the Name of Jesus after we pray. That through Jesus we can come to Jesus and ask something through Him. Yes the disciples were the ones Jesus was telling this message to, but Jesus instructs us to be His disciples and follow Him. I hope you take a listen to this very Young man speaking about this and this video was from Above Reproach Ministries. It is so very good to hear such a young person who can speak about the Bible and focus on God's character in this way. So wonderful Thankyou!
I am binge watching your videos brother and I am so blessed. I’m even writing notes because I am learning a lot! And yes, definitely gonna share this to my bible group. God bless you and your family, brother!! Love from the Philippines. 😊

Hey, Pastor Allan. As usual, right on point. I'm grateful to God Almighty for the work He is doing through you to glorify His Son. It pains me though, to say that I fellowship at a church that teaches error i.e self righteouness (we are little gods), push family agenda as this denomination belongs to a particular family lineage, false prophets and the likes. My heart is just so sunken about his issue especially that I have a family who's spiritual life I aim to protect however I can. I humbly request your prayers in this situation when you have a moment and may the good Lord keep you as you do so. Thanks again, for such an edifying, thirst quenching and hunger busting righteous work of God. Bless you, sir. Shalom
I wish more Christian teachers explained the scriptures the way you do. Listening to you has clarified a lot in the Bible for me. Thank you so much and may God bless you.
Lord, I thank you that I had the right thinking on this. The Christians have worn this verse out and taken it out if context. We were taught that we could ask God for what we want and He would just grant it in Jesus' name. Thank you for confirmation.....it is not a direct promise to us but to his disciples... There is an old spiritual song that says just tell God what you want.....doesn't work that way brothers and sisters Yep, declaring and decreeing still being used.....Lord, open our eyes. Thanks Allen.

this video helped i am a leader at our church and a younger person came to me and my wife and asked us how she can have God answer our prayers and we told her the 3 keys that Allen has said 1. Is it glorifying God? 2. Are you asking in humility? 3. Is it according to God’s will? she said yes to all 3 and she was still having problems with her faith. she kept coming and coming to us for answers and we kept leading her to what the bible says. and she would leave encouraged and her faith would be high. but once covid hit she went totally left and tells us she lost her faith. and i have my days asking God “did we do something wrong?” did we not impart enough even though we did? just thought i’d vent on the leadership side of it, it kinda keeps me down sometimes.
I love the way you explain the Bible... Word of God. Please keep doing that. Some people critize a lot. But I think and know you are sinsere and love you. Thanks again Carol from South africa
Im so grateful I saw this, Pastor Allan! Thank you! I used this verse yesterday a prayer, and I'm really glad that your video popped up in my feed today. I should have used "you have not because you ask not, or you ask amiss". We have to ask God for things that are his will, and ask him specifically for his will, since that's how Jesus taught us to pray.

God"s word tells us to come to His thrown boldly, believing and not doubting what we ask Him, and I don't believe because we say I declare and decree, is being disrespectful to God. Now I don't believe in name it, and clam it and it shall be done for us!!! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever!!! I also believe that the Word of God isn't interpreted the same for everyone in the same way. We are all Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!!! Meaning we all have different needs, because our lives are different. There are no two snow flakes alike!!! Therefore how can our prayers be answered just like others, or how the Holy Spirit gives us the interpretation of God's word be alike!!!! Blessings!!! ❤❤❤
Other things to keep in mind about prayer We must have faith when we pray "And when you ask, ask with faith, for one that asks without faith is like a ship that is driven by the sea" -James 1:6 We must have correct motives "And when you ask, you do not receive because you do not have the correct motives, you pray so that you can spend it on your pleasures." -James 4:3 We must be righteous enough "If a man does not listen to the preaching of the law, even his prayers shall be abomination." -Proverbs 28:9, Isaiah 59:1-2, John 9:31

I just want to thank you for your teaching of misinterpreted Bible verses. I pray people will have a better understanding of God's word before teaching Christians, old and new. Much love Thank you
Hey y’all, I believe that John 14:13-14 is mission based scripture! If you go back to the text, Jesus said this to the apostles as encouragement. At this time, Jesus had just broke it to the apostles that he would no longer be with them to help them. The apostles were troubled by this because they had spent so much time with the teacher and I’m quite sure many of them were afraid to do ministry on their own. So Jesus told them He would do whatever they ask in His name so that they would have a level of comfort in spreading the gospel (by means of initiative miracles, empowered by the Holy Spirit). All that to say, Jesus’ original intention was for people to use this verse as a means of getting the Lord’s help to achieve the goal of spreading the gospel.

Thank you for all you've taught me now I'm talking to god more and resisting temptation god bless you.
What if you do pray for something selfish and God gives it to you? I used to be like that and I did receive what I asked for
Questions: Does God answer prayers of unsaved people?
In the same chapter, Jesus said to the Apostles:
_In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.

Prayer key:
1. Your request should glorify God
2. Ask in humility
3. Ask according to God's will
Thanks Allen Parr

Jesus said in John 14:12, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." Good stuff!

Thank you for your TH-cam ministry. I am blessed by your explanations, practical applications and clarity of Scripture teaching. Blessings.

Nice Video by the way 👍
It's because I know that God exalts the humble but opposes the proud. I don't want God opposing me or having to humble me. Tht a great point. It starts at the beginning of the prayer , "Father in Heaven , they Will be done."
To ask the Father in Christ must gravitate around God's Will. Christ will not grant anything unless it's God's will. Many ask for prosperity, the devil also wants people to succeed and prosper, (so they can rebel and say they gained it in their own.)

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”
1 John 5:14-15 ESV
If this was just for the apostles, why would John reconfirm it back to all Christians?
Maybe the reason we don’t see much of it being done is because 1. Not in his will. 2. Doubt. 3 lots of “Christians” are not walking in obedience.
the confidence that He HEARS us...doesn't say the answer will be yes.

Living forever with the full knowing of this verse.

she said yes to all 3 and she was still having problems with her faith. she kept coming and coming to us for answers and we kept leading her to what the bible says. and she would leave encouraged and her faith would be high. but once covid hit she went totally left and tells us she lost her faith.
and i have my days asking God “did we do something wrong?” did we not impart enough even though we did?
just thought i’d vent on the leadership side of it, it kinda keeps me down sometimes.
I always learn something when I watch your videos. Thanks again!
Read the Bible yourself and ask the Lord for wisdom and understanding. If we don’t believe God can use us to do greater things then it won’t happen.
Jesus said in John 14:12 “ Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. “-Mark 16:17-18

Hello, I greatly appreciate all of your videos. Crazy thing is my wife and I had bible study on 22nd about the same verses speaking on trust/truth. This was confirmation on our study and we learned even more based on this video. Thank you and have a blessed one.

Thank you for your videos. Keep coming! 🙏
Thanks for the positivity, i look up to u and always injoy soaking up your wisdom. Cant wait to give you a big hug in heaven my brother in christ!!!
This channel has helped me as a christian become better and more faithful to pray daily quit my habits and just get closer to our Lord and Savior
I love and praise Almighty GOD for Rev. Allen Parr. This particular vedio has taken my bible reading to a new level of understanding. 🙏🙏
Other things to keep in mind about prayer
We must have faith when we pray
"And when you ask, ask with faith, for one that asks without faith is like a ship that is driven by the sea" -James 1:6
We must have correct motives
"And when you ask, you do not receive because you do not have the correct motives, you pray so that you can spend it on your pleasures." -James 4:3
We must be righteous enough
"If a man does not listen to the preaching of the law, even his prayers shall be abomination." -Proverbs 28:9, Isaiah 59:1-2, John 9:31
This cleared up so much for me because I just read this yesterday and I took it literally but now I have a better understanding.

Thank you Mr. Allen. May God continue to bless you and give you wisdom!
Great video! This is one I've always had trouble understanding. Thanks for this one :)
I just want to thank you for your teaching of misinterpreted Bible verses. I pray people will have a better understanding of God's word before teaching Christians, old and new. Much love
Thank you
I’ve learned so much from you in my journey to be a better Christian. I believe God led me to find you.
Real Truth! Thank you sir! Keep up the real Good News!
Wow. Great breakdown of the Scriptures. Thank you Jesus Christ and thanks Brother Allen
Thanks Sir for the explanation. May your ministry will stay alive longer...
