    I have had no trouble with anything with a motor I ever bought new. I jave had nothing but trouble with used stuff other people "broke in". I just buy the stuff and use it how I'm going to use it. I am diligent about maintenance but I think all this break in stuff is nonsense.

      every motor is run full throttle at the factory looking for manufacture flaws. it is basically broke in at the factory.
      My last 2 new outboards i have used as normal, never had a problem with them.
