    Great Video Kyle.
    My old 16ft 1989 Mirrocraft Just had her brand new 75 Merc installed last week. Hoping our lakes here in Maine thaw quickly. I'm itching to get back on the water with this amazing new 4 stroke. Hoping it gives me the same lifespan as my old 2 stroke Force 50

    Good video Kyle. In #1, it references "and at full throttle for approximately 1 min every 10 min". Is this also during the first 2 hours, so up to 4500 RPM varying speeds AND a burst every 10 minutes up to full throttle (5900-6000RPM)?

    Hello, Just got a 2023 200 HP merc, I noticed when my motor is trimmed down to almost 80 % down and I trim down a little bit more, I let go of the trim button I hear a tick, tick, tick sound. Have you ever experienced that on any of your mercs?
    Thanks

      No I don’t believe I have. I’d check the trim relays to make sure they’re making a good connection. But that’s just a guess bc I’m definitely not a certified Mercury mechanic. 😂

    Can you run regular 87 gas in the new 2021 250 Pro Xs? Or do they recommend non ethanol gas still?

    • @KyleCortianaFishing
      @KyleCortianaFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not certain if Mercury recommends a particular octane however I’ve always ran 87 octane but I also burn through my entire tank of fuel very frequently. The ethanol can be hard on the fuel lines (depending on the fuel line material) and so when I think it’s going to be sitting for awhile, I always add Ethanol Treatment products like BioBor.

      Clint I had the same question today. I own the 2023 Mercury 115pro-xs, I called Mercury and found i got bad info from Bass Pro sales guys. Mercury customer service said the 115pro-xs takes either eth-free or 87 oct with max eth of 10%, if you use 12 or 15% eth it will ruin the motor. The 175-300hp pro-xs must use eth free only.

    When you broke this in, did you full throttle it every 10 minutes and go over 4500 RPM?

    • @KyleCortianaFishing
      @KyleCortianaFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question Jonathan. My interpretation of item 1 is that you need to stay below 4500 rpm for the first two hours. In order to do that, and run wide open throttle, you’ll need to keep the motor trimmed down.

      Says 4500 or 3/4 throttle AND full throttle every ten minutes.. not 3/4 throttle (aka 4500) when going full throttle... the full throttle is clearly above 4500 the way the instructions are written.
