Precisely balanced review, calling out the things for what they are. Scorpio must have done better on equipment and space for the money it will ask for at the top end; and a 5 seater would have made more sense with more room in 2nd row and the boot. Its a good update but while Mahindra has moved miles they have felt short by a few hundred meters from making this a quintessential D-segment competitor.
End note that BGM wow!!!....Dicor 2.2 VTT (never seen any bull similar till date)...Mahindra has come a long way..."Imaging Thar LOF tuned to same ride, handling & dynamics" !!!
Please reply. 4WD Diesel Manual doesn't have zip zap zoom modes. It would only have one default setting. What efficiency will it give in its default ? Not asking about 4WD. Just asking mileage it will give when in rear wheel default mode and speed 80-90.
Good to connect that music to this vehicle. This deserves it thoroughly. Booking a Z8L 4WD tomorrow. I just hope that the AC is on steroids else that last row is a graveyard.
Whatever looks it may has,,,, 1) Middle seats dont slide to make room for 3rd row 2) 3rd row doesnt have AC VENTS,,, In India,,,If u r buying a top model more than 20 lakhs on road,,,people expect ac vents for comfort,,,thats where toyota gets the edge
Thank you for reviewing this Bro. The desi customers are going to call it scorpion now hahahaha A little bit of truth and flatter goes a long way, nailed the presentation. Thank God body roll and jerky suspension is fixed bonus points to the end music.
I think there are too many cars in the same price segment from Mahindra. The Scorpio N, the XUV700, and also the old Scorpio. You can throw in the Thar but it's a car for a different type of buyers. I think it will become too confusing for the buyer and will end up cannibalizing their own car sales. If I had to buy a car in that segment from Mahindra, I would rather go for the XUV700. Better features, safety, and more practical boot space. The Scorpio N's boot space is way too little, and the seat folding of the third row is also not very practical if you want to carry bigger stuff. What they should have done is at least target buyers from a different segment. When they had their first teaser for the new Scorpio N, they said they are gonna launch it in the D segment, i.e., the same segment as the Fortuner. But yes. Dissapointed.
Good balanced review. This is a practical choice at the current price point. Now if only the Harrier had a 2.2 Diesel 4x4 that would set the cat among the pigeons.
Great review man!!! Loved it, so much so that I had to stop watching in the middle and type a comment.😆. My thoughts exactly, should have been a 5-seater.
No sliding seats for 2nd row it’s a must must needed & 3rd row seats are not 50 50 folding. Plus ground clearance at least they should have kept 200mm or 205mm. Boot door should have open upwards. Practically these are the major loopholes for #ScorpioN.
1. Premiumess which a Cockpit should have or we can say the other cars in this segment has better. 2. It looses in practicality as we can see the second row their is now flat surface for legs also when the third row seats are down it lacks the flat and easy surface. 3. The seats are not comfortable enough, or not engineered to the comfort as we can see the other cars in this segment do. 4. Lastly a bulky SUV whose NCAP ratings have still not published , in the size it is bigger to other SUV of this segment but on what cost? Lastly to sum up if someone wants Bulky SUV with little modern technology incorporated in it, lacking premiumness, comfort of seats as other SUV in this segment provides then it's a 👍.
Hello Sir, I have already booked Xuv 700 MX petrol. But with new Scorpio can I shift towards it. Means which is better Xuv 700 MX Petrol or New Scorpio z4 petrol. Pls suggest.
First things first, although there is some similarity between this and the outgoing model, I personally need to convince myself its an evolution of the same. Its visible only from a very few angles. Don't get me wrong, I like the overall design but something about the rounded snout, it just doesn't work for me. Also the tailgate, it kind of breaks the design to be honest. And yes, IMO its more of Xylo than Marazzo. The design has XUV , Xylo in the mix esp the rear three quarters. But it works. I am sure most if not all will find it appealing overall. The boot is actually better than what i imagined from the first look video. The hinges could have been moved a bit to the corners to offer a bit more space but I am sure they had some engineering constraints. No AC vents for the third row is a glaring omission. The tiny rear AC vents don't do much in a hatchback, and the Scorpio-N is at least 3x more volume to cool. They could have just added vents if not blower controls too in the roof for the third row. Also they could have provided a 12v port at the rear. Most vehicles get it in second and third row too, another miss. 7:30 does the 'Navigation' on the speedo use in built maps or does it use Android Auto/CarPlay? I don't know anyone personally who uses on board navigation that comes with a car, any car for that matter. It would be sensible to get Google Maps or something equivalent ( i know infotainment does support it, I am just talking of the MID on the speedo). 7:49 OT! Whose good boy is that? SuperCute!!! 8:42 The rear part of the stalks, that seem to house some kind of rotary toggles, the housing seems to have sharp edges. Also Scorpio gets mechanical rear diff locks and BLD at the front right? If I am not wrong the Thar gets BLD at both ends right? From what I can see Mahindra has purposely cut out important things to keep it from cannibalizing XUV7OO's market, which seems fair since they are closely priced. But major omission likes lack of proper cooling for third row, no 12v at the back (which can be sought aftermarket) is not something Mahindra should have done. The funny thing is, Mahindra went ahead of Tata in the segment with XUV7OO and now this. Where does that leave Tata with Safari and Harrier? Indians love gizmos and features of which Tata vehicles offer less and now with Mahindra also sorting out ride and handling which was the USP of Tata (at least ride was for most part, handling got better later), I wonder if Tata is too late to consider upgrading its big SUV line up. As always, I liked the way Karthikeya has reviewed the Scorpio-N too, though I wish off-roading was covered a bit more. And also, camera from the backseat kept saying 'Hello Bhai' 😆 Good job guys :)
Hey @Zigwheels team, I liked the car's review, I am looking for a family car for around 15 lakhs with basic safety features, I am also looking for good mileage, will Scorpio n be good choice for me or should I look for something else? Also can you me with the mileage of the Scorpio n for petrol, diesel? Thanks!
It's amazing, you and mahindra scorpioN too... I am planning to purchase a soon... But it's difficult for me to choose between kia carens prestige+ OR ScorpioN Z4... Practical interior vs strong engine suspension.... Please post a comparison of these two cars...

Tata Safari 2nd gen advertisement soundtrack! What an epic tune that was!
Whatever looks it may has,,,,
1) Middle seats dont slide to make room for 3rd row
2) 3rd row doesnt have AC VENTS,,,
In India,,,If u r buying a top model more than 20 lakhs on road,,,people expect ac vents for comfort,,,thats where toyota gets the edge
Thank you for reviewing this Bro.
The desi customers are going to call it scorpion now hahahaha
A little bit of truth and flatter goes a long way, nailed the presentation.
Thank God body roll and jerky suspension is fixed bonus points to the end music.
Happy to do so sir!
@@SirKart i am no Sir just a Bro is fine, Thank you for the wonderful amazing review as always looking forward to your reviews.
Preety much agreeable
Review of scorpio is interesting! But ur style n approach towards review is awesome!
Ending is awesome Karthik . Short and crisp review
Any vibrations while driving Scorpio like previous Scorpio or it is good
It's the Scorpio now that suits more to phrase "Reclaim your life!"😂😂😂
Just because Kartikeya is reviewing this I watched the video And I must say I love his video.
Kartikeya is back!
Amazing video 💯
Yes, this is how Tata Safari should have been but they killed that brand.
Exactly what I was thinking while I was watching
Can you please tell this red colour, is it bright red or dark maroonish red thanks. Is this color same as that offered in thar
Excellent karthikeya
Lion is roaring kartikeya is a king in automotive review. Always rocking 👏 Anna
4:21 precisely what I would've liked
I took a test drive of this Suv. Its very nice but Is the steering vibrate did u felt so coz I felt it on gravel raod.
You are the best Kartik, none like you... U and your team are at next level, so dramatic presentation as always 👌
I will always look for @karthikeya in all zigwheels reviews. Fan fan fan for him.
Good balanced review. This is a practical choice at the current price point. Now if only the Harrier had a 2.2 Diesel 4x4 that would set the cat among the pigeons.
Thar + xuv 700= scorpio n 😈💪👌💕
Punchy Presentation as Always!!! Loved every bit!!!
Karthik's oratory skill is just 'wow'. Keep it up.👍
does color red rage looks same with naked eyes , how it is looking in video?pls.pls tell there are lods and lods of confusion about color red.
Great review man!!! Loved it, so much so that I had to stop watching in the middle and type a comment.😆. My thoughts exactly, should have been a 5-seater.
Broski! Big hug for you man! ❤️
Pratap bose nailing it..
His voice does that magic while he reviewing 💫, his voice made us feel this is the review we were waiting for 🔥💫
Hello Sir,
I have already booked Xuv 700 MX petrol.
But with new Scorpio can I shift towards it. Means which is better Xuv 700 MX Petrol or New Scorpio z4 petrol. Pls suggest.
I have seen many reviews of this suv b4.. but just came here to watch Kartik review it..
And also, camera from the backseat kept saying 'Hello Bhai' 😆
Good job guys :)
Hello! Thanks as always sir!
Navigation - onboard maps - not from the smartphone.
Goodboy - that’s a long story! Will find out. Hehe
Off-road bits - will get you a low down soon! Using BLD though.
@@SirKart Thank you kind sir :)
Is red colour is same as xuv300 or different shade?
Wat a confident review, amazing to listen. I am gonna try this in my presentation today 😈
Fantastic presentation as always, man! Loved the review. And yup, the rear pretty much resembles an MPV. It's diluting the Scorpio N's SUV appeal.
Hola bro! That rear is definitely a weak link in its formula.
Scorpio N mein Scorpio classic ki exterior modify kar sakte hai kya?
Great review karthikeya. Ur reviews are crisp and great
Awesome review Karthik bro.
zigwheels, which was the music at the end that Karthik referred to ? Could you share the link or the name to that?
Hey @Zigwheels team, I liked the car's review, I am looking for a family car for around 15 lakhs with basic safety features, I am also looking for good mileage, will Scorpio n be good choice for me or should I look for something else? Also can you me with the mileage of the Scorpio n for petrol, diesel?
Thanks!
Scorpio N has 10 mileage
