Great comparison Sirish 👌. However, couple of points you messed up. Endeavour with the 2.0 diesel comes with a 10 speed auto and not a 9 speed. The Fortuner has a 2.8 diesel. 2.7 is petrol. Power figures for the diesel are of the current generation. The one in the video has 177 BHP/450 NM and comes with all 4 disk brakes as well. Now coming back to the video, even I'll agree that the endeavour was a phenomenal product but it's sad that Ford left India 😭. Mahindra purposefully detuned the engine than the XUV700, In the XUV700 the grunt even beyond 140kmph is really good. There might small issues here and there with Scorpio till the first year of production. But a difference of 20Lakhs, one can fit rally spec suspension, brakes, wheels and get the engine tuned to make 200+hp and 500Nm is easy. And still after mods one would be left with 12 lakh or so more, they spend on what ever they want.
I think the petrol one has same 200bhp, also scorpio n is rwd, compared to fwd xuv700, so as a spacious big 5 seater SUV to scare the other drivers in their hatchbacks and sedans, probably the scorpio n will be a better buy
That was pretty much obvious by Mahindra to de-tune the 2.2L mHawk from 185HP and 450Nms down to 175HP and 400Nms... Scorpio's not meant to be driven at mad triple digit speeds (150kmph+) like XUV 7OO which is built for it. Former needs the Torque which it has in abundance. 10PS isnt a very big figure, what makes ScorpioN considerably slower than 7OO is it's heavy 2 tonne weight and brick like aerodynamics. Though they could've lent it a bit more Torque (420Nms). Btw, even a Stage 1 tune will lead to produce 200PS from Diesel, 'IF' they had kept its ECU unlocked.
